Douglas Quail
- Demoted Memories: His vivid fantasies of being a secret agent on Mars lead him to request that Fake Memories of same be implanted by a company that does this as a sort of virtual vacation. Except that the fantasy turns out to have been actual memories due to an incomplete mind wipe. Then the company tries layering over the now returned memories with an even more grandiose childhood fantasy he had about saving the world from alien invasion with compassion. Turns out that really happened too.
- Double Reverse Quadruple Agent: While he is the agent in question who was completely unaware of his status, unraveling the layers of this drives the plot.
- Fake Memories: People can buy fake memories of vacations or exciting adventures as a cheaper alternative to real experiences. Problems arise when memories of being a spy turn out to be real for the him... or were they?
Shirley
The topless receptionist who greets Douglas Quail as he visits Rekall.- Body Paint: She has a habit of coloring her bossom in different colors.
- Buxom Beauty Standard: She is tidy and articulated receptionist with ample melon-like breasts and has no issue working her job topless.
- Given Name Reveal: Up until she was ordered to give Douglas Quail a refund, she was never referred to by name.
- Male Gaze: In every scene she appears in, the narrator describes how shapely her breasts are as she works topless.
- Ms. Fanservice: She is a blonde and decently articulated woman who showcases her bare and ample breasts that bob around at work.

- Oh, Crap!: When Douglas returns to Rekall, she reacts in surprise before quickly managing to regain her composure, but still nervously stuttering when she welcomes him back.
- Only One Name: While we learn her given name is Shirley, we never learn what her last name was.
- Reasonable Authority Figure: At the end, she apologizes to Quail for how badly everything turned out to be and assures him things will go better this time.
- Sexy Secretary: Exaggerated, she goes around working her job while showing off her well-endowed and topless body.
- Shameless Fanservice Girl: She works as a receptionist at Rekal, the company that sells memories, with her big exposed breasts on full display.
- Walking Shirtless Scene: She is a female example who works as a receptionist at Rekall without even a bra on her big bosom and just covers the lower half of her body.
