Luo Tianyi was released on July 12, 2012 with much fanfare, including a few OVA-like videos as a means of publicity, while Yuezheng Ling was released on July 17, 2015. After much fan clamor to finally release one of the male vocals, Yuezheng Longya was released on June 28, 2017. Zhiyu Moke and Mo Qingxian would later be released on August 2, 2018.

  • Non-Human Sidekick: Tian Dian, the small creature who accompanies Tianyi. Described as a fairy of music, she's said to be 10 years old. Can transform into her microphone. The others have similar companions:

    • Their official updated personalities show Ling being active and lively, while Tianyi is sensitive and quiet.
  • Tomboy and Girly Girl: Ling and Tianyi.
  • Two Girls to a Team: Inverted; of the planned and unplanned characters for Shanghai He Nian, Longya and Moke are the only male vocals.

Released for the VOCALOID3 engine. Luo Tianyi is an angel who came to earth with a mission to spread music throughout the world. Tianyi can detect "the song of your heart" and it can be interpreted as the strongest emotion a person has at the moment or a melody that represents them. Even if people cannot express the melody themselves, Tianyi can still hear it and sing it.

    Yuezheng Ling

Released for the VOCALOID3 engine. Ling's family runs the huge Yuezheng company, a business that makes instruments and music. Her personality is very straight forward and can sometimes be seen as blunt as she does not care for details. She is extremely generous and energetic, for she spends 3/4 of the day running all over the place and sometimes, her high spirit causes boys to become jealous. She loves music, experiencing new things, and huge, fluffy dolls. However, Ling has many annoying issues in her life, mostly related to her older brother, Yuezheng Longya.

  • Genki Girl: Ling's official profile states she is active and full of life. She likes to experience new things and even out competes the boys.
  • Idiot Hair
  • Ojou: Ling, being the daughter of a wealthy conglomerate's CEO.
  • Uncle Pennybags: Ling and Longya are heirs to an immense fortune, but are nonetheless depicted as down-to-earth musicians.

Released for the VOCALOID4 engine. Longya is Yuezheng Ling's older brother and the heir to the Yuezheng corporation. He has an agile mind and many people look up to him. Like his sister, he is straightforward, but he also possesses the ability to make important decisions correctly and has the strong aura of a leader. His weakness includes troublesome issues, and the only time he's not bothered is when they are related to his younger sister. He is very protective of Ling and can become slightly hysterical when dealing with situations related to her.

    Mo Qingxian

Released for the VOCALOID4 engine. Because of her elegant and mature outlook, Qingxian is extremely popular in school. Even though she seems to be a mysterious character, she actually has a slow reaction due to her poor health. She dresses fashionably most of the time, yet her actions show great elegance and traditional beauty. Qingxian loves traditional Chinese literature and is capable of skillfully playing many traditional Chinese instruments. Even though she reacts slowly, she still tries her best to take care of the juniors and people around her. She also has a tendency to become randomly philosophical.

  • Aloof Darkhaired Girl: Qingxian. Her official profile states that she is quite popular; cool, stable, and good-looking. She's so mysterious that some people fear her.
  • The Fashionista: Qingxian, her outfits are described as fashionable.
  • Yamato Nadeshiko: Qingxian (even though she's, well, Chinese), her behavior is regarded as being a 'traditional lady'. She likes ancient books, poems, understand Tao, and likes traditional Chinese instruments. She is also generous and kind towards others.

Released for the VOCALOID4 engine. Moke is a genius with an IQ of 168. Even though he always wears an innocent and warming smile, he is actually the most Otaku of all Otaku. By starting threads in forums, editing, and uploading M Vs, he is seen as a "god" by some people on the internet. He is sometimes mistaken as a girl; although he claims that he hates this, there are unconfirmed rumors of a popular cross-dressing cosplayer appearing in various comic conventions who looks very similar to him. Because he usually doesn't talk, most people will take him as a "nice boy", but he will reveal his true Otaku self when he is with close friends. He acts somewhat like a professional debater when talking about anime or other Otaku topics, but tends to react poorly to subjects that do not interest him.

  • Child Prodigy: Moke, with an IQ of 168.
  • Dude Looks Like a Lady: Moke. His official profile states that he is often mistaken for a girl. And though he dislikes it, it is rumored he once cosplayed as a girl during a cosplay convention.
  • Otaku: Moke, surprisingly. He's also quite skilled at making MADs.
  • Raven Hair, Ivory Skin: Moke.
  • Shrinking Violet: Moke is said to not talk much, and is a quiet boy. He smiles at everyone, but can be frank. And he has a dislike of being alone, though he does have close friends who know he's an Otaku.

    YANHE

Artwork for VOCALOID3

The second Chinese Vocaloid, released on July 11, 2013. Her design was chosen from a character design contest like Tianyi before her. Her design is quite sporty.

  • Ambiguous Gender: Canonically female, but her deep voice and Boyish Short Hair were cause for dispute within the fandom in her early days.
  • Boyish Short Hair: Quite possibly the shortest for a female Vocaloid.
  • Sixth Ranger: Her appearances in Vsinger concerts treat her as the newest member of the gang above.
  • Tomboyish Voice: A natural result of being the original voice for Zhiyu Moke, before controversy forced the company to run a new design contest to match her voicebank.

VOCALOID4

    Xingchen

Artwork for VOCALOID4

Stardust, also known in Chinese as Xingchen, is a Chinese VOCALOID developed by Shanghai HENIAN Information Technology Co. Ltd., in collaboration and distributed by Quadimension (as well as successor group Beijing Photek S&T Development Co., Ltd.) for the VOCALOID 4 engine in April 2016. She is the first VOCALOID created for the Voicebank Customize Project, and later joined Beijing Photek's Medium⁵ project with the Synthesizer V vocals Chiyu, Shian, Cangqiong, and Haiyi.

She is voiced by Chalili, a Chinese utaite.

  • Crossover: She gets one with Azur Lane, where her outfit is worn by Unicorn.
  • Expy: While her original twintailed design brought comparisons to Miku, the purple hair, tress ties, and space theme got her pegged as one to Yukari by Japanese fans.
  • Supernatural Gold Eyes: They evoke her spacial nature.
