Voiced by: Arif S. Kinchen (English), Wataru Takagi (Japanese)
First Appearance: "Can You Dig It?"

  • Back for the Finale: After his single-episode appearance in the first season, he's essentially forgotten about by the show until he shows up as a member of Optimus' "All-Stars" in the last episodes.
  • Cool Car: Transforms into what appears to be a Porsche.
  • Cool Shades: His retractable visor serves as a pair.
  • Make Some Noise: Wields a pair of powerful speaker-weapons mounted in his shoulders, capable of producing deafening sound waves.
  • Old Friend: He and Bumblebee served together and struck up a friendship during the Great War.
  • Reasonable Authority Figure: He's an agent of the Cybertronian Council and tries to bring Bumblebee and his team back for questioning. However, after listening to Bumblebee and helping to capture a Decepticon fugitive, he agrees to leave the team to their mission and returns to Cybertron to speak on their behalf.
  • Remember the New Guy?: Downplayed. He appeared prominently in Aligned books and video games, but if you only watched Prime (which he never appeared in and had a Broad Strokes approach to the other material), he comes off like this.
  • Soul Brotha: One towards both Bumblebee and Bulkhead.

    Ratchet

Voiced by: Jeffrey Combs
First Appearance: "Decepticon Island, Part 1"

  • The Bus Came Back: Was Put on a Bus along with the rest of Optimus' team from Prime, and makes his return in the second season finale.
  • Defector from Decadence: Despite effectively being exiled from Cybertron by the High Council, Ratchet prefers it to being imprisoned or being on a Cybertron that actively tries to bury Optimus Prime's legacy.
  • Detachment Combat: Having partnered with a Minicon named Undertone in the interim between the previous series and this one, Ratchet stores him on his wrist.
  • Gameplay and Story Segregation: A variant, as Undertone transforms into a buzzsaw in the series, not unlike Jetstorm and Slipstream. His toy, on the other hand, is a Cyclone Minicon.
  • Irony: Ratchet rarely went on field missions in Prime—preferring to stay in the base and be Mission Control. His new job requires him to constantly be out in the field.
  • Took a Level in Badass: In Prime, Ratchet could fight but was nowhere near as skilled as the likes of Arcee or Bulkhead. He's spent his time since Prime as a hunter of war criminals.
  • The Voiceless: Undertone isn't known for being particularly talkative.
  • What Happened to the Mouse?: Undertone has been absent since he was last seen with Ratchet.

First Appearance: "Decepticon Island, Part 1"

  • Mecha-Mooks: A heroic variant as he and Fixit come form a line of identically built Minicons tasked to guard the Alchemor.
  • More Dakka: He and the rest of the Fixit-type Minicons possess the same sort of armament that Fixit himself does.
  • Patrolling Mook: Like Fixit, this is his job as a guard on the Alchemor.
  • Pint-Sized Powerhouse: In guard mode, he and the other Fixit-type Minicons were capable of briefly holding off Steeljaw, who was enhanced by the power of three Decepticon hunters.

    Nightra

Nightra

Voiced by: Lori Petty
First Appearance: "Guilty As Charged"

  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: Nightra seems like she made amends with Strongarm and claims that she is now a bounty hunter, in which one of her quarries Blastwave had escaped Trypticon Prison. It was all a lie.
  • Category Traitor: The first rogue Autobot.
  • From Nobody to Nightmare: Despite the fact that she is still an Autobot, she turned to a life of crime following her expulsion from the Kaon Police Academy.
  • Mistaken Identity: Deliberately induces this among Bumblebee's crew by stealing Blastwave's Bounty Hunter badge and claiming that she is a Bounty Hunter and Blastwave was one of her quarries that escaped. It's actually the other way around.
  • Palette Swap: Her character model is a repaint of her friend Strongarm, even sharing the same vehicle form, with a new head.
  • Smash the Symbol: Her Autobot symbol is scratched through, not unlike those on RoughEdge, hinting at her renegade nature.
  • We Used to Be Friends: With Strongarm.

    Blastwave

Blastwave

First Appearance: "Guilty As Charged"

  • Arm Cannon: Has one on each arm.
  • Bounty Hunter: What he actually is, when Bumbleebee and his crew found out that he was tasked with apprehending Nightra, who is the true culprit.
  • Barehanded Blade Block: Easily deflects Sideswipe's attacks this way.
  • Face of a Thug: Despite his intimidating appearance, he's an Autobot through and through.
  • Good All Along: He is later revealed as an Autobot. It didn't help matters that he couldn't speak and his faction insignia was contained in the glowing yellow circle on his waist, making it difficult to spot. However, if you time the pausing correctly in a handful of scenes, you will notice a vague image of his Autobot insignia, which foreshadows his true heroic nature.
  • The Juggernaut: While not on Soundwave's level, he's shown to be capable of taking a large amount of punishment without any ill effects.
  • Palette Swap: His character model is a slightly tweaked variation of Megatronus.
  • Sign Language: A Cybertronian variation. Since his voice modulator was severely demolished, he used gestures to warn Bumblebee and his crew that Nightra was the traitor among them. Bumbleebee himself recognizes the hand signals, as he remembers the time that his voice modulator was destroyed by Megatron in the previous series.
  • Super-Strength: Strong enough to lift and toss Grimlock by the tail.
  • The Speechless: His voice modulator was damaged so heavily, he had to rely on Cybtertronian Sign Language.
  • Walking Spoiler: He appeared on-screen right after his toy was sold in stores.

    Bulkhead

Bulkhead

First Appearance: "Sick As A Bot"

  • The Big Guy: Shares this with Grimlock.
  • The Bus Came Back: Like Ratchet, he returns in this series.
  • 11th-Hour Ranger: Joins the team shortly before the endgame.
  • The Heart: In the comic, he's the first to suggest telling Bee about their mission.
  • Stout Strength: He retains his heavyset build from Prime, as well as his immense strength.

    Dropforge

Dropforge

Voiced by: David Sheinkopf
First Appearance: "Five Fugitives"

Strongarm's top mentor back on Cybertron.

  • Brainwashed and Crazy: Strongarm reveals that he, along with his comrades, were rewired by (presumably) the same benefactors who released Steeljaw and his pack by emitting Cybertronian signals to alter their thoughts.
  • Cool Shades: They're retractable.
  • Hardboiled Detective: A Cybertronian variant.
  • Pint-Sized Powerhouse: He is a Mini-Con, but is powerful as a full-sized Transformer.
