• Wrong Guy First: Struggles with her preference for the dark and edgy Kirtash over the heroic and plain-spoken, as well as somewhat more well-balanced Jack.

Kirtash

• All Girls Want Bad Boys: An enormous part of his appeal, especially when he takes on the persona of Chris Tara/Christian.
• Animal Motifs: Winged snakes when he takes on the Chris Tara persona. Later turns out he himself is a half-human, half-shek hybrid.
• Dark and Troubled Past: saw his mother killed by his father, was physically tortured through his combination with a Shek, and his father regularly continues to cow him into submission in a cycle of psychological abuse.
• Deadly Gaze: Kirtash is able to kill, or at the very least weaken, anyone with just a stare. This skill is repeatedly demonstrated as his primary weapon against the Idhun exiles he tracks down.
• Dragon with an Agenda: There have been hints that he has his own plans beyond enforcing Ashran's reign of terror.
• Scarily Competent Tracker: Elrion and him can follow any little hint of magic on Earth to hunt down Idhunian refugees.

• Not Quite Dead: He was banished to Idhun by Kirtash before the spell that was about to kill him could reach him.
