The Main Protagonists
Sailor Moon
- Adaptational Badass: As this was the Manga/Crystal/Eternal incarnation, she is much more capable of fighting enemies she even destroys Ghidorah while in Eternal form. While in the original she was killed by the latter and the one who defeats him is Yami Houou.
Sailor Mars
- Adaptational Personality Change: This Sailor Mars is much more mature than the original due to being the Manga incarnation.
- Adaptation Relationship Overhaul: As this Sailor Mars was from the Manga and Crystal/Eternal incarnation she is much closer to Venus than Moon.
The Sailor Senshi
Sailor Uranus
- Adaptational Nice Guy: Unlike in the original, she is much more welcoming to Takato and the other heroes.
The Rajita Empire
Kaiser Ghidorah
The leader of the Rajita Empire who seeks to challenge the one wielding the Silver Crystal, and of course for the Rajita to conquer the Earth.- Adaptation Species Change: In the original YYGDM-01, Ghidorah's Kaijuu form is based on Godzilla. Here in Shin-YYGDM, his Kaijū form is literally the same namesake of the three-headed dragon.
- Bad Boss: Just like the original version, failure results in being threatened, punished or get killed.
- One-Winged Angel: He transforms into a literal golden three-headed dragon in the final battle.
Kuiiza
- The Dragon: He is the main second-in-command of the Rajita Empire.
- One-Winged Angel: He transformed into a white leopard gecko in the final battle.
Nāginī
- One-Winged Angel: She transformed into a red cobra in the final battle.
Morpheous
- Code of Honour: The only one of the four generals who has a sense of honor.
- Death by Adaptation: He dies at the end of Arc I, unlike his mainstream self who's alive (though temporary killed back in Invasion of the Rajita) and turns good.
- One-Winged Angel: He transformed into a blue draco lizard in the final battle.
Kujiko
- The Brute: He fights his enemies by brute force.
- One-Winged Angel: He transformed into a black alligator snapping turtle in the final battle.
Other Antagonists
Cain Bearer
The owner of Cain Corp and member of the Committee on Foreign Relations. He has a disdain towards superpowered beings.- Adaptational Personality Change: While Cain’s personality is similar to the original, the different head canon voice actor sounding like Lex Luthor from Young Justice shows the Shin-YYGDM being calm and downplayed his paranoia traits (This is a big comparison to Cain (YYGDM-01)’s first appearance in Wrath of Pharaohmon Redux where his sentences have exclamation marks in reflection his paranoia, while the Shin-YYGDM version starts his first sentence with a period).
- Establishing Character Moment: He shows his hostility towards super-powered beings in an interview in the end of the first arc, yet his personality is shown to be calmer in showing this version is slightly different from the mainstream (YYGDM-01) version's paranoia.
