Fairy Tail guild

Formed by Mavis Vermillion, Yuri Dreyar, Precht Gaebolg (who would later become known as Hades), and Warrod Sequen, Fairy Tail is the most famous wizards' guild in the Kingdom of Fiore, most widely known for producing some of the most powerful wizards in the history of magic — so powerful, in fact, they cause unintended destruction no matter what they do

    In General
  • Badass Crew: Fairy Tail easily outnumbers the other guilds in terms of badass members by a dozen-fold. They're also a colorful, tightly knit bunch of goofballs who consider each other closer than any family.
  • Beware the Silly Ones: They baffle all ordinary folks (and sometimes each other) with their eccentricities, but they all have one thing in common: mess with their guild, and they will end you.
  • Family of Choice: Act as this to all their members offering them a home and a source of solidarity during any emotional times.

Main Cast

    Ichigo Kurosaki
The main character of the story and leader of the Kurosaki Clan.
  • Berserk Button: He ignores any insults to himself, but if anyone insults or threatens his family, he goes ballistic.
  • Don't Call Me "Sir": He doesn't like being called Mister, but everyone does it anyway.
  • Red Baron: He is called "Slaying Moon" because his energy is black and has been compared to a new moon.

    Orihime Kurosaki
The wife of Ichigo Kurosaki and mother of Kazui.
  • Always Someone Better: She is this to Wendy and Sherria who note that her healing abilities surpass their own and to Ultear who gets slightly envious because her Time Master abilities require Cast from Lifespan to use them at their full potential, but Orihime can do the same thing at no cost.

    Karin Kurosaki
The sister of Ichigo Kurosaki and a Soul Reaper.
  • Full-Frontal Assault: Karin does this when she comes out of the shower and forces Chase of Carbuncle, who is after Eclair, to retreat without even bothering to dress.
  • Red Baron: She is called "Drowning Moon" because she has water powers and has been compared to the moon controlling the tides.

    Yuzu Kurosaki
The sister of Ichigo Kurosaki and a Quincy.

    Kazui Kurosaki
The son of Ichigo and Orihime Kurosaki.
  • Red Baron: He is called "Shining Moon" because he has light powers and has been compared to a full moon.

Ten Wizard Saints

The group of ten strongest wizards of the continent of Ishgar who are recognized by the Magic Council.

    In General
  • The Archmage: All members of the Ten Wizard Saints are considered this, at least as far as the Magic Council is concerned.
  • Elite Four: The Four Gods of Ishgar are a special group among the Ten Wizard Saints, all four of whom possess a level of strength far above that of the rest of the Wizard Saints. However, they pale in comparison to Ichigo Kurosaki.
  • The Dreaded: Not to any law-abiding mages, but rather to dark mages who encounter them as demonstrated with Avatar, the wannabe Zeref cult, who had an unfortunate encounter with Centurion and Solaseed.
  • Not-So-Omniscient Council of Bickering: The Ten Wizard Saints do not work together as a team as they mind their own business or they were running a Guild or taking Council-sanctioned missions until they were called for a meeting together at Era. On the other hand, it is Downplayed as most Wizard Saints get along amicably when they meet each other and welcome Makarov back after his 7 year long disappearance. Except God Serena.
    • However, some of the Wizard Saints were adamant about apprehending Crime Sorciére led by a former Wizard Saint Jellal Fernandes but others seem to be neutral in this regard while a small number (like Makarov and Warrod) were actually sympathetic to them.

Wizard Saint members

    God Serena
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ft_godserena_anime.png

The first-ranked member of the Ten Wizard Saints who is known as "Eight Dragons God Serena" and a spy working for the Alvarez Empire.

  • Adaptational Early Appearance: He appears in the A Gathering of Powers Arc, loooong before he appears in canon.
  • Adaptational Origin Connection: When describing God Serena to Ichigo, Makarov reveals that there are rumors of God Serena being a product of a secret experiment conducted by the Bureau of Magical Development under the supervision of Brain called "Project Hybrid Theory" where the eight Dragon King Lacrimas were implanted into God Serena's body, turning him into the most powerful Dragon Slayer of this generation.
  • Adaptational Villainy: He is already a member of the Spriggan 12 and works as a spy on their behalf compared to canon where he simply defected to the Alvarez Empire.
  • Bullying a Dragon: He tries this to Ichigo who beats him up for it, humiliating him in front of the Ten Wizard Saints as a result.
  • The Friend Nobody Likes: Among the Ten Wizard Saints, none of them really like God Serena's arrogant attitude with Makarov being annoyed he hasn't changed in seven years. The only reason they tolerated him is because he is the mightiest mage of Ishgar as ranked 1st, essentially a de facto leader of the group.
  • A God Am I: He is so egoistic about himself as a god in his name and power to the point he refuses to believe the Kurosakis are gods of death until Ichigo gives him a wake up call.
  • It's Personal: During his contact with August, he demands that when the time comes for Alvarez's invasion of Ishgar, he would be the one to kill Ichigo personally for humiliating him and show the Soul Reapers what a real god is.
  • The Mole: He is revealed to be this as he contacted August of the Spriggan 12 to relay information about the Kurosakis in the meeting he attended.
  • Red Baron: He is called "Eight Dragons God Serena" because of his eight Dragon Slayer Magics he possessed via Lacrima implantation on his body.

  • Adaptational Badass: In the canon, Draculos was shown to only choke his opponents by the neck but here, he is stated to possess a variety of abilities from Vampire Magic as explained by Makarov.
  • Red Baron: He is called the "Ultimate Vampire" because of his Vampire Magic that is stated to give him a variety of vampire-based powers aside from choking targets by the neck in canon.
  • The Spymaster: He is is this as he was able to gather intel about Tartaros that the last Balam Alliance member is managing few laboratories that were guarded by Grimmjow and his Espada when reporting to Gran Doma in the meeting.
  • Wine Is Classy: He carries around a glass cup filled with red wine instead of milk in the canon.

The third-ranked member of the Ten Wizard Saints who is known as the "Beast Lord".

  • Miniature Senior Citizens: He's about as small as Makarov and can grow just like him with his magic except he transforms into a monstrous beast.
  • Red Baron: He is called the "Beast Lord" because of his Magic, the Ultimate Destruction Incarnate, which allows him to turn into a raging beast of unrivaled strength.

The fourth-ranked member of the Ten Wizard Saints who is known as "Nature's Shepherd" and one of Fairy Tail's founding members.

  • Adaptational Early Appearance: He appears in the A Gathering of Powers Arc, loooong before he appears in canon.
  • The Gadfly: He is this as Makarov informs Ichigo about his weird sense of humor despite being one of Fairy Tail's founders and a kindhearted nature lover, and he demonstrated it by offering to step down and let Ichigo take his place among the Four Gods of Ishgar... Before revealing that it is just a joke in front of the entire gathering much to their chagrin.
  • Red Baron: He is called "Nature's Shepherd" because of his charitable actions of turning barren wastelands into lush forests with his Green Magic.

    Jura Neekis
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ft_jura_anime.png

The fifth-ranked member of the Ten Wizard Saints who is known as "Iron Rock Jura" and Lamia Scale's strongest wizard.

  • Bald Mystic: He's a powerful wizard with a beautiful, bald head. Of course, he's pretty self-conscious about it.
  • Gentle Giant: Despite being tall and a bit intimidating, Jura is very kind and humble.
  • Red Baron: He is called "Iron Rock Jura" because of his great mastery of Earth Magic.
  • Time-Passage Beard: He grows a beard over the Time Skip.
  • Yellow Earth, Green Earth: "Iron Rock" Jura is a wizard who specializes in Earth Magic and most of his spells have a yellow aura.
  • Worthy Opponent: After the match with Ichigo, the two develop mutual respect for each other's capabilities, with the two hoping to have a rematch in the future.

    Centurion

The sixth-ranked member of the Ten Wizard Saints who is known as the "Devastator of Evil" and a member of Quattro Cerberus. He is also a Machias.

  • BFS: He wields gigantic swords in conjunction with his Blast Magic in battle.
  • Canon Foreigner: Created to fill out the roster of the Ten Wizard Saints, since four members were never shown, namely the replacements for Jose Porla and Siegrain and two other unnamed members.
  • Cool Helmet: He has a Crusader's helmet for a head.
  • Curbstomp Battle: The Dark Guilds including Avatar never stood a chance against him.
  • Mechanical Lifeforms: He is a Machias just like Wall Eehto of the Spriggan 12. This intrigues Ichigo who interacted with him.
  • Red Baron: He is called "Devastator of Evil" because of his Blast Magic with swords which aptly describes his usage as "Screw everything in that general direction!"
  • Token Robot: He is the only Machias member of the Ten Wizard Saints and Quattro Cerberus.
  • Warrior Monk: He gives off this impression as he has a Crusader's helmet and robes extended from his waist like a loincloth. But he is not from Zentopia like his fellow Wizard Saint Solaseed.
  • Witch Hunt: He does this to the Dark Guilds befitting his title as Avatar found out the hard way when they run into him.

    Cassandra Brosnan

The seventh-ranked member of the Ten Wizard Saints who is the Guild Master of Mermaid Heel.

  • Canon Foreigner: Created to fill out the roster of the Ten Wizard Saints, since four members were never shown, namely the replacements for Jose Porla and Siegrain and two other unnamed members.
    • Twofold as she fills in for the unnamed Guild Master of Mermaid Heel.
  • Squish the Cheeks: She does this to Kazui, finding the son of Ichigo and Orihime adorable.

    Furena

The eighth-ranked member of the Ten Wizard Saints who is one of the commanders of the Rune Knights.

  • The Captain: She is one of the Head Captains of the Rune Knights' Custody Enforcement Units just like Lahar.
  • Canon Foreigner: Created to fill out the roster of the Ten Wizard Saints, since four members were never shown, namely the replacements for Jose Porla and Siegrain and two other unnamed members.
  • Raised by the Supernatural: She is a human who was raised by Giants of the Sun Village alongside Flare Corona of Raven Tail.

    Solaseed

  • Absurdly Sharp Blade: She carries a gladius forged from Damascus steel.
  • Canon Foreigner: Created to fill out the roster of the Ten Wizard Saints, since four members were never shown, namely the replacements for Jose Porla and Siegrain and two other unnamed members.
  • Curbstomp Battle: She did this to Avatar, a Zeref worshipping cult, when she ran into them and believed she got rid of it until her fellow Wizard Saint Centurion revealed he encountered them too.
  • Crisis of Faith: Averted as despite being a woman of Zentopian faith, she took it well of the fact there is an afterlife in form of Soul Society managed by Soul Reapers who purify the souls before sending there and the souls of the irredeemable sinners would be sent to Hell during her conversation with Yuzu.
  • Foster Kid: Not her but she was the foster mother of Sting Eucliffe and Rogue Cheney before they joined Sabertooth.
  • Light 'em Up: She wields the Arc of Heavens, a Lost Magic that allows her to wield purifying white light that extinguishes darkness and demonic opponents in battle.
  • Red Baron: She is called "Warrior Nun" because because she is dressed like one, possesses the Arc of Heavens Lost Magic and was a former leader of the Legion Corps before retiring and Byro Cracy took her place.
  • Religion is Magic: Her Arc of Heavens is this.
  • Retired Badass: She used to be the commander of the Legion Corps before retiring. Yet she is still strong enough to be acknowledged as one of the Ten Wizard Saints.
  • Sacred Scripture: She carries around a holy book as a token of her Zentopian faith.
  • Warrior Monk: Or rather a Warrior Nun as she was from Zentopia's Church Militant as its commanding officer pre-retirment.
  • White Magic: Her Arc of Heavens is this.
  • Where Were You Last Night?: When Centurion asked where she was during the Infinity Clock incident, she revealed that she was at the Kingdom of Stella and only got the call from Zentopia a day after she returned to Fiore.

    Makarov Dreyar

The tenth-ranked member of the Ten Wizard Saints after he got demoted down to the lowest rank due to his 7 years of absence at Tenrou Island. Fortunately, he doesn't really mind about it.
