Ahiru/Princess Tutu
- All-Loving Hero: Ahiru aims to earn everyone an happy ending and dances to convey her love.
- I Just Want to Be Loved: In the promo, she states she’d wish for eternal love is she had a genie like Aladdin.
Fakir
- Anger Born of Worry: Acts this way towards Ahiru when she wants to take on the role of Princess Tutu again to protect the town, wanting her to stay out of harm’s way.
- Blue Is Heroic: More strongly associated with blue in the series, with his hair being colored as such along with the pendant Ahiru wears after he writes her back as Princess Tutu.
- People Fall Off Chairs: Falls out of his chair when Ahiru first turns from a duck to a girl in the first episode.
- Tsundere: Of the Harsh variety. Typically cold and cynical but mellows out around Ahiru.
- Purple Is the New Black: Rather than dark green, Fakir’s hair is dark blue for stylistic black.
- Rewriting Reality: Fakir has the power to do this, being of Drosselmeyer’s bloodline, and uses it to combat another tale spinner.
- Secret-Keeper: The promo implies Fakir is keeping things from Ahiru that he refuses tell her.
- Waistcoat of Style: Depicted wearing one from time to time in the series and is the only character who does so.
Claudia
- The Ace: Claudia takes Rue’s place as this, becoming the best ballet dancer in the school since she’s trained in Paris for years. Her having the spotlight invokes the envy of other girls. She’s also skilled at flamenco.
- Mysterious Stranger: Claudia who has questionable origins and is surrounded by rumors about the strange deaths connected to her.
- Mystical White Hair: Claudia, the mysterious new girl from France who becomes Ahiru’s roommate. It’s said there’s strange circumstances surrounding the death of her family.
