Kingdom of the White Falcon

Royal Family

    Stella (UNMARKED SPOILERS)

Stella Vargo Rosinley Ivanez

The princess leading White Falcon, having stepped in for her father, the king, when he was incapacitated by illness. She is widely revered as a great monarch and the nigh-omniscient leader who led the alliance against the fiends to victory, the latter brought about by her Earthling blood's Quirk, the power to see the future. However, this goodness is just a mask that hides a crueler self that uses anything and everyone around her for her own sake.

This cruel self, however, was actually that of an Earthling Dispossessor; the real Stella is a selfless person just as her people thought her to be, but the events of Season 1—where she could only watch as the Dispossessor committed vile deeds with her own body—weighs on her now that she has been freed of the Earthling's control, most of all her guilt for what her hero K suffered.

To see the Dispossessor's profile, see the Earthlings section here.
  • Act of True Love: In the first future she saw, when she saw the kind of miserable ending K will go through after losing her, she became determined to make his life happy. She changed it by distancing herself from him so that he becomes less affected by her loss when she sacrifices herself to the Ivanez dungeon treasure, letting him free of baggage to become the kingdom's hero alongside friends—even if that meant she wouldn't be the one beside him. Then after finding the determination to talk to him again in the present, she tears apart a letter meant to be read by K after she died, ensuring he won't feel guilty over what she did for him.
  • Affectionate Nickname: She calls K "Sir Hero", which is unfortunately the one title he grew to hate.
  • And I Must Scream: From the moment she was dispossessed, she could only watch as the evil spirit committed an untold number of atrocities without being able to stop it, most of all subjecting K to suffering instead of the happy ending she waited all her life to create for him.
  • Did Not See That Coming:
    • Despite her ability to see the future, she literally never saw an Earthling coming to possess her and send every plan she had crashing.
    • In her first foresight, she, K, Veronica, and Tanya slew several Archdemons to stop the fiends from launching the predicted war, but this caused the fiends to retaliate earlier than expected, which then led to other nations and factions becoming discontent by her actions, a rebel army to ruin her kingdom, and her own death at the rebels' hands. K swore to fight for her loss and managed to settle all the issues afterwards, but he passed away alone in the end, miserable from regret. This tragedy gave her determination to change the future for his sake.
  • Dreaming of Things to Come: When her Quirk started activating during her younger years whenever she went to sleep, she assumed they some kind of amazing dreams. It's only until she foresaw her and K's tragic endings that she realized she was seeing the future.
  • Hair of Gold, Heart of Gold: Her good heart isn't in question as much as her golden locks are, often prioritizing others over herself. Too bad this contributed to the Dispossessor's deceptions.
  • My Greatest Failure: Failing to stop the Dispossessor from taking her body and bringing about numerous tragedies as a result, K's betrayal standing out the most, and made worse when her citizens are ignorant of the truth and her high position wouldn't let the law judge her. It's bad enough that during Summer Island Mayhem, she is secretly relieved that she might die to the hostile guardian and atone for her sins.
  • Precognition: As a perk of her Earthling blood, she has the Quirk to see into the future at her own discretion, notably being able to view it even long after her future self dies. This informs her decisions to change the future as she wishes and let her know the results of her actions, although this power has considerably lowered in capability after the Dispossessor left her body.
  • Rescue Romance: Though Stella started feeling attracted to K during their fight against the Archdemon of Deception, the turning point of her feelings happened when K ignored her plea to flee and fought alone through fiends, mages, demibeasts, and rebels to rescue an upstart girl who suddenly summoned him, ordered him around and called him annoying. Even though it should have been feelings that belonged to that future version, the present Stella fell for her would-be hero all the same.
  • Well, Excuse Me, Princess!: As she describes in her first foresight, the relationship between herself and K was this at first, the former getting annoyed by the latter's sometimes unfounded rudeness and chastisement; it made Stella punch her pillow out of anger whenever she woke up. They get over this after a heart-to-heart during the trial of the Archdemon of Deception.
  • Whip Sword: She brandishes one that would have caused a Death by a Thousand Cuts to anyone she faces, something a nice princess would not be using. It's likely an affectation of the Dispossessor's sadism, though Stella herself doesn’t seem to mind continue using it.

    Ivanez I

First King Ivanez I

The first king of White Falcon, having actually been an Earthling who fought for his people against the fiends a thousand years ago.
  • Chick Magnet: One of the titles Eliza gives about him is "Harem King". How that came about amongst some awe-inspiring titles like "True Adventurer" is not explained.
  • Earn Your Title: In the epilogue of Summer Island Mayhem, Eliza lists some titles about Ivanez: the First Earthling, Explorer of Scientific Inheritance, True Adventurer, and Harem King.
  • Hero of Another Story: From what snippets can be gathered of him, the tale of a Earthling boy fighting against fiends, had charisma that won Alpha to his side as his servant—Archdemon Eliza herself compares him to Aer, who was able to make an alliance of humans and two fiends get along despite the bad blood between them—and founded a kingdom sounds just like the perfect material for a kingdom-building light novel.

Base Rarity: 2★
Height: 166 cm
Weight: 48 kg
Race: Human (Mirshian)
Birthday: 10-1
Preferred Present Type: Craftwork
Affiliation: Kingdom of the White Falcon
VA: Jenny Yokobori (EN); Mitsuki Nakae (JP)

Graceful swordfighter and second-in-command of Nightwatch, she is a steady but soft hand to Veronica's iron fist.
  • Blade Spam: All her attacks consist of artful, yet lightning-fast blitzes of her sword. In gameplay, her skills are geared towards giving her initiative: Lunge increase her Priority; Quick Assault increases Speed; Noble Strike gives a 50% increase in Priority and increased attack upon a kill with it; and her Chain Passive effect boosts Speed.
  • Ma'am Shock: In Season 1 Hard Mode, Sofia comes close to stopping K and his party from teleporting away from the entire force of Nightwatch. To throw her focus off, Idith insults her by saying her clothes look too young on someone as old as her. This makes Sofia go berserk in an instant and give the party time to escape.
  • Mom Looks Like a Sister: Most might've guessed she's Idith's older sister instead of her mother.

    Idith

Idith Sepius Alderman

Title: Honorable Knight
Element: Earth
Battle Type: Striker
Base Rarity: 2★
Height: 164 cm
Weight: 45 kg
Race: Human (Mirshian)
Birthday: 6-6
Preferred Present Type: Craftwork
Affiliation: Kingdom of the White Falcon
VA: Gina Bowes [credited as "G.K. Bowes"] (EN); Arisa Sakuraba (JP)

A young knight officer of Nightwatch who commands the guards of Outer City. Though rather sheltered and naïve, she stays as best as she can to the knightly code of chivalry.
  • Counter-Attack: Her second skill is a passive that gives her a high chance of counterattacking. Some Outer City guards that appear as enemies also sport this skill, seeing as they have been trained by her.
  • Heroic Self-Deprecation: As a young knight officer who looks up to her mother, she often criticizes herself to some rather low points. It becomes Played for Drama in Rhona's side story and Season 1 Normal Mode; in the aftermath of Gustav's death, Jihoon sacrificing two of her soldiers, and the crown now conscripting her guards for a war against the Demibeast Liberation Front as compensation for Gustav's wrongdoings, Idith regrets over how she should have stopped all this. This motivates her to reveal herself as a key figure responsible for the deaths of many demibeasts to Orox.
Idith (Long Time, No See): Oh, you've returned... I thought you left because you were tired of being with someone as talentless as me. Sorry I misunderstood your intentions.
  • Honor Before Reason:
    • After Pesketh pretends Idith is just a normal knight to allow Orox to shelter herself with the party, rather than let the charade continue, she reveals herself as an important figure who enabled Gustav sacrificing many demibeasts to his dungeon core, and accepts a duel to the death from Orox. This actually works out in her favor since Orox is won over by her sincere guilt and held back to let her win.
    • She follows K in the new timeline to repay him for revealing Gustav's crimes, not realizing that turning traitor put her family at risk by association and having their properties confiscated by the crown, which her mother Sofia angrily reveals.
  • Reverse Grip: In her idle battle stance, she holds her sword to the back this way.
  • Screw the Rules, I'm Doing What's Right!:
    • Subverted when she acts as Jihoon’s assistant on the hunt for K. Despite seeing warning signs that this Earthling she must respect is callous, it's only when he sacrifices two of her men to his dungeon core that Idith finally bows out before worse could happen. Rhona’s side story shows she remains torn over this, telling herself she should have listened to her morals.
    • Played straight in the new timeline when she joins K. After Gustav's crimes were revealed and she hears of Stella's wrongdoings, she decides to abandon her post and accept Veronica stripping her knighthood to follow her own justice by helping K on his quest.
  • Sixth Ranger: Unlike the first timeline where she went after K over misunderstanding him as a murderer who killed her generous lord, she joins his party in the new timeline in Lisha's place as repayment for uncovering Gustav's atrocities to her.
  • Wide-Eyed Idealist: She genuinely trusts in the idea of chivalry and thought she saw it in her lord, Gustav, which makes it heartbreaking for her when his crimes came to light, made worse in the new timeline when his pathetic selfishness is revealed to her. It is also because of this she follows K, who she recognizes as worthy of pledging her blade to, to continue upholding her sense of justice.

Lurking in the mansion of a fallen noble family is the spirit of a maid who calls for her master. This maid when seen up close is actually a friendly ghost who is very clumsy and brews a questionable cup of tea, but her unshakable desire to wait for her master has caused her to remain in the ruined mansion.
  • Cute Clumsy Girl: In life, she's always knocking over things, a trait she still carries into death that her profile notes she "breaks dishes at a near daily rate", which translates into her basic attack being to trip over thin air despite floating and spill breaking dishes over her enemy. When K and his party visit the mansion for the first time, she hospitably serves them cookies and tea, except the "cookies" are just stones and the "tea" is some kind of purple boiling liquid. It's not certain whether this is a side-effect of her ghost form or being just that air-headed to notice the mistakes.
  • Meido: A very, very clumsy one who keeps breaking plates, and tripping and spilling a lit candlestick. She is nevertheless devoted to waiting for her master even with him gone for a long time.
  • Our Ghosts Are Different: She is a ghost who floats, holds a blue ghostly candlestick, profile noting "0 kg" and all, more specifically a ghost-type dungeon guardian. When arriving at the mansion, ghosts according to Lisha are proven to be non-magical and thus non-existent, while Eva says the ghosts they fought were actually dungeon guardians, then in the stage after, Veronica explains the mansion has been abandoned for years since the war with the fiends until it's been turned into a dungeon several months ago, which Maxwell was responsible for as part of his research into reviving Renay. From all this, it can be concluded that Marian somehow died during the years she waited for her master but was turned into a guardian, with her deep loyalty to her master allowing her to keep her personality since dungeon cores contract with people who have intense desires. That said, Eva is incapable of perceiving Marian until she was given antimatter to stabilize her form, suggesting she was created at first through mana given that the one who made the dungeon is a mage.
