Hanna
Hanna Thompson
"How much crazy fun are we gonna have?!"
Eve's ever-enthusiastic stoner roommate, Hanna runs a weed-fueled pastry business called Bake 'N' Bake. She lives with her boyfriend, Marek, for much of the comic's run.
- Break the Cutie / Break the Haughty: Marek breaking up with her turns her from a fun-loving stoner into a Sad Clown Straw Nihilist on her best days.
- Cloud Cuckoolander: Hanna is very laid back at the story's beginning. Additionally, she often serves as the Plucky Comic Relief.
- Cynicism Catalyst: After she breaks up with Marek, Hanna begins to lash out at many of her closest friends, notably Marigold. This also reveals some of the more flawed aspects of Hanna's personality.
- Erudite Stoner: Despite having left Eve's apartment smelling like weed before she was even introduced, Hanna also maintains a successful business. She's also surprisingly wise.
- Hidden Depths: As the comic progresses, Hanna frequently deviates from the Cloud Cuckoolander personality she's introduced with.
- Progressively Prettier: Like Eve, she gets a rounder face, and also loses her cartoonish overbite as the story progresses.
- Sad Clown: After Her breakup with Marek, her sense of humor begins to have a cynical edge, and here eccentric escapades start to have an air of desperation to distract herself from her own misery.
- Took a Level in Jerkass: After her breakup with Marek, Hanna lashes out at Marigold to the point of ruining their friendship.
- We Used to Be Friends: Following a very heated and jealousy-tinged argument with Marigold over the latter's lavish new lifestyle, the two quickly stop talking to each other. Hannah grows to regret it but never knows how to apologize, leaving their friendship broken for years, until they cautiously start talking again in Octopus Pie Eternal.
Marek
Marek Kulasenski
Will
Will LeBlanc
- Babies Ever After / Happily Married: With Eve as of the Sequel Series.
- First Guy Wins: He's the first guy Eve dates after her break-up at the beginning of the story, but she ends up dumping him when he fails to disclose that he's a drug dealer. Over the course of the comic, he and Eve wander between relationships (including the two having a brief affair together). However, Will's repeated failed romances and the ramifications of his fast and loose lifestyle urge him to turn himself around, including seeing a therapist, and when he and Eve decide to give their relationship a second chance, they're pretty much made for each other.
Marigold
Marigold Fuchs
"My god damn SPA DAY!!"
Introduced as "a stoner who can make soap out of anything," Marigold became one of the central characters of the comic after her relationship with Will.
- Ascended Extra: Marigold was introduced as simply one of Will and Hanna's stoner friends in the laser tag plotline. As the comic progressed, so did Marigold's character, and by the end of the story, she was firmly a member of the main cast.
