The invading Gelmudo Empire.

Magimatic Sols:

    In General
  • Barrier Warrior: They have barriers that nullify physical attacks and all but the strongest elemental magics.
  • Expy: They're the author's answer to Evangelions.
  • Humongous Mecha: War machines as tall as a building, with a humanoid frame.
  • Made of Diamond: It takes special weapons, magics, and tactics to beat them. Ordinary spells, weapons, and summons won't do.
  • Only the Chosen May Wield: They need a pilot that's "compatible" or they will kill whoever tries to pilot them.
  • Organic Technology: They have a cockpit with an interface involving organic parts.

    Aria
The first pilot introduced and a Kobold who can speak "common."

Imperial Command

    Doriadamp
The top general of the invading army.
  • Bad Boss: Beats up his subordinates to enforce his will and for kicks.
  • Did Not Think This Through: Wanting to shed off a decrepit body and being reborn sounds nice and all, but there's quite a few glaring problems with that. A newborn infant is a helpless creature, for starters, and there's the fact that the emperor's got the entire country backing him, and stealing "his" vessel for yourself is going to have that war-machine coming for you.
  • Fantastic Racism: Considers all non-humans as inherently inferior and loudly proclaims it.
  • Immortality Seeker: Looks to shed his corpulent and decrepit body by shoving his soul into the void space that was once occupied by Krebscrum, to be reborn with all his life memories intact.
  • I Will Punish Your Friend for Your Failure: Boasts that he will happily raze Aria's home village to the ground because she didn't succeed in her objectives well enough for his tastes. Said objectives being taking on an entire fortress full of Faltra's knights alone, and coming out unscathed...
  • The Starscream: He has absolutely no loyalty to the emperor and wishes to take "the youthful vessel" for himself.
  • Stupid Evil: From an objective analysis, his actions are ultimately self-destructive. He lets his Fantastic Racism control him, leading to literally treating the only people who can operate his Empire's Humongous Mecha like dirt, stomping their faces into the ground for any failure or insubordination, real or imagined, even if said operators are children. His tactical decisions are very poor, fond of forced marches, and greatly underestimating enemy encampments, leading to sending his country's prized mecha into battle, alone, just so he could have the pleasure of beating up the pilot for coming back with battle damage, or empty handed, provided the pilot doesn't die in battle, and the pilots are all either slaves, or have their home villages being used as hostages under the constant threat of total extermination, provided he hasn't had them wiped out already, and is only pretending they still exist, and he openly mentions that captured and enslaved soldiers are entirely disposable right in front of them even if said soldier is already in the cockpit of said mecha...
  • Would Hurt a Child: Is introduced stomping Aria's head into the ground, both to punish her for the temporary disabling of her Magimatic Sol by battle, and to lord over her his own sense of superiority.

    The Imperial Emperor
The emperor of Gelmudo.
  • Evil Old Folks: So old, he's about to die, and utterly evil.
  • Everybody Calls Him "Barkeep": To date, he's only addressed as "Imperial Emperor." His name has yet to be revealed.
  • Immortality Seeker: Like Doriadamp, he wants to shed his decrepit body and shove his soul into Rem to be reborn.
  • Orcus on His Throne: He's so old and infirm that he has to sit on the throne and can't go anywhere else, relying on subordinates to get things done.
  • Weather Manipulation: He can summon thunder-clouds and speak through them, over incredible distances.
