* RichesToRags: She was born into the Uchiha clan with everything she ever wanted baring the person she loved, after a NoodleIncident, she became a crazy lady that lived in a cave with a BastardBoyfriend version of Madara.

* BastardBoyfriend: [[spoiler:He acts like one basically physically and emotionally abusing Izanami while she keeps him alive. Her resembling his dead wife also opens a whole new can of worms about their relationship.]]

* BigBadWannabe: [[spoiler:While powerful and dangerous after his revival Izanagi has no clue of the cosmic powers in play. Acting as Susanoo's pawn, all he manages to gain is Hashirama's hatred, and to crank this UpToEleven he was never Indra's reincarnation meaning all of his plans were in vain.]]

* UpToEleven: Pretty much the entire point of this teams existence is to make Pain and Tobi's Path's look laughably pathetic in comparison.

* FiveManBand: Susanoo has created a set of Path's that make Pain and Tobi's look like CListFodder in comparison. None of the paths are very happy about this, save [[spoiler:Izanagi.]]

* DarthVaderClone: Madara sure have a thing for these, don't they? Okay, well, to recap: She fights with a FlamingSword similar to a lightsaber, [[spoiler:was fatally wounded and was revived in a different form reminiscent of how Anakin was revived as Darth Vader.]] Dresses in black, wears a mask to hide her identity, and has completely rejected her former identity like Darth Vader has.

* SkirtOverSlacks: Wears a more practical purple and black combat outfit underneath her black kimono.

* NotSoDifferent: [[spoiler:Although she believes that she has broken free of Izanagi's influence, he has still greatly corrupted her, best shown with her liberal Edo Tensei use.]]

* TheNecromancer: First by reanimating corpses to act as his Paths. [[spoiler:Then he learns Edo Tensei to revive Izanagi and [[OhCrap ''five Kages'' to become his Paths.]]]]

* TheNecromancer: [[EnigmaticMinion Izanami]] is the biggest user of this trope -- Edo Tensei is practically her signature jutsu. She [[spoiler:hasn't used it as much since the fight with Susanoo.]]

* TheNecromancer: [[spoiler:He's the one who taught Izanami Edo Tensei.]]

* TheFatalist: Susanoo is a self-admitted one. His soul is even ''made'' of fatalism, according to Yugito's SoulVision.

* AdaptationalHeroism: While they are not heroes, they were much nicer people in their backstories and all of them willingly formed Konoha in a legitimate desire for peace and not because they were forced too. They only lose it after their brother's death followed by Hashirama proving himself as to much of a GeneralFailure.
