His main drawback is that due to the TDE system, he has to buy his levelups for his martial and magical skills from the same pool; and of course that he can't cast spells while wearing anything heavier than leather (though he has a decent spell for that).

* BagOfSpilling: Technically a victim of this: Forgrim starts at level 3 and with crappy gear, even though he ends the prequel at least around level 10 (though 12-13 is more likely, or 2 levels more with the addon).

A proud dwarf warrior, and Ardo's bodyguard and loyal retainer, is a Dwarf Warrior. Strong and resiliant, he's a powerful fighter, but it's not very brilliant.

The original Kazak can be met in an adventure module from the P&P-version of TDE (the same module also includes Phileasson) when the party visits the ''actual'' ruins of Tie'Shianna, where he he has been lying around for millenia in agony (ever since the Nameless one's onslaught on the city), impaled by a sacred spear, which only an elf can remove. The adventure module succinctly states that should one of the players be stupid enough to do so, Kazak regaining consciousness means that the game ends right and here for the party. * BigBad: As leader of the Nameless One's hordes.[[spoiler: Subverted.]]
