    Deiki 
Deiki is a demon made of mud and trash. In both manga and the 2019 anime adaptation, it attempts to devour Dororo, only to be interrupted and slain by Hyakkimaru.
  • Blob Monster: It is a demon made up of mud and trash assorted together.
  • Starter Villain: It is there to highlight Hyakkimaru's skill at demonslaying.

    Bandai 
The lizard demon with the tail that can take on the appearance of a beautiful woman. Disguised as a disabled woman, it has taken over a village.
  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: It appears as a benevolent figure but is really a monster that preys on outsiders who come to its village.

    Nihil 
A demonic sword that thirsts for blood. It takes over the body and soul of its owner in order to quench its endless thirst.
  • Clingy MacGuffin: It will not leave its owner until someone knocks it out of owner's hands or destroys it.
  • Evil Weapon: Has no problem controlling its owner to kill.
  • Hungry Weapon: As said above, it thirsts for blood and will compel its owner to kill in order to sate that thirst.
  • Meaningful Name: Its name in Japanese (似蛭) means leech-like. Fitting as it relies on its host to kill.
  • More than Mind Control: To Tanosuke. Even when he is freed from the possession, he tries to get it back so he can murder people again.

    Kyubi 
The demon that possesses the Banmon at the boundary of Daigo's lands. Initially appearing as numerous fox spirits, they can combine to become a large fox with nine tails.

    Hakumenfudo 
The statue of Buddha that is possessed by an evil spriit. It uses Okaka to bring living sacrifices so it can steal their faces.
  • BFS: The sword it carries as a Buddha statue is large. Unfortunately, its swings are very slow as a result, allowing Hyakkimaru to dodge them with ease.
  • Face Stealer: Particularly grisly version in the 2019 anime as it does so by slicing an unfortunate victim's face off.
  • Hoist by His Own Petard: In the 2019 anime, after stabbing the statue's face, Hyakkimaru dodges just in time for its sword to slam into its own face and destroy itself.
  • Mind over Matter: It can move objects such as ropes around it to limited degree.

    Kajirinkon 
A demon created after the death of a miser.

    Silver Vine Tree 
A giant skeleton demon that disguises itself as a silver vine tree
  • Cats Are Mean: It commands an army of cats which attack Hyakkimaru and Dororo, since silver vine has an effect similar to catnip.
  • Creepy Crows: It later commands an army of crows that attack Dororo.
  • Dem Bones: Its true form is a giant skeleton of an animal.
  • Tentacle Rope: Uses vines to grab Hyakkimaru.

    Midoro 
A Ghoul flaming horse. She was once a normal horse and had a foal. She became possessed by a demon after her foal was taken from her.
  • Adaptational Heroism: In the 1969 manga and anime, she was one of the 48 Demons that took Hyakkimaru's body parts, but in the 2019 anime, she decides to help Hyakkimaru to fight against Daigo's men.
  • Cool Horse: Can devastate an entire army all on its own.
  • Hellish Horse: Is a demon-possessed horse with a flaming mane.
  • Kill All Humans: Her goal, as humans forced Horses to fight in wars for glory.
  • Killed Off for Real: She was killed by Hyakkimaru.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: She murders the man who took her foal away from her.
  • Mama Bear: She escaped from the building to find her foal. Unfortunately it doesn't last long as she stops caring for the foal after she is possessed.
  • Would Hurt a Child: Murders a human child.

    Donburibara 
A monster that forced a gluttonous headman to eat so they can live in his stomach. Their true form is a giant tortoise.
  • No-Sell: Hyakkimaru slashing the demon doesn't do anything until he follows him to the Turtle body.

    Bira-Bira 

A massive stingray-like sea monster demon that was held in place by a harpoon, until Dororo pulled it out.


  • Kaiju: Probably the largest demon Hyakkimaru faced.

    The Thunder-fire Dog 
A wild dog that can transform into a thunder-fire dog.
  • Even Evil Has Loved Ones: Strikes a genuine friendship with Nota and affectionately licks him many times.
  • Hell Hound: A demon possessed dog.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: Attacks people involved in dog-fighting, who often beat their dogs and force them to get into brutal fights.

    The Piggy-Back Demon 
A spider-like demon possessing a Jizo statue, that Dororo is forced to look after.
  • Psychopathic Manchild: Demands Dororo sing them a lullaby and give them piggy-back rides to the point of exhaustion.

    Maimai-onba 
Maimai-onba was one of the demons that made a contract with Daigo Kagemitsu. She hypnotized Sabame to become her lover and do her bidding by killing Hyakkimaru and Dororo. However, she was unable to succeed and was killed by Hyakkimaru afterwards at the river.

    Jiromaru and Saburomaru 
Two huge sharks under the command of Shiranui. They are ruthless, relentless beings, which never hesitate to devour their victims after being given the command by their master to do so.
  • Eye Scream: Jiromaru loses an eye from Hyakkimaru during their fight.
  • Pet the Dog: The only human they don't devour is Shiranui.
  • Threatening Shark: A pair of gigantic sharks that can easily overwhelm a group of bandits.

    Ochii/Monmon 
A cute young girl who is secretly a demon that feeds people to slugs.
  • Body Horror: Her transformation is quite horrific with a mouth sprouting on the top of her head.
  • Fille Fatale: Uses her looks to impress Dororo.
  • Vocal Dissonance: Even in her monster form she has a cutesy high pitched girl's voice.

     Nyudo Shiki 
A formerly noble monk who was buried alive and merged with mice, frogs, otters, and weasels.
  • Anti-Villain: Believes he is protecting the temple from the Samurai.

    Tsuchibouzu 
A mud-like monster who was trapped under a beggar's butt.

    Nue 
Nue is a giant demon towering over any human. Befitting its nature as a chimera-like demon from the Japanese folklore, it has the face of a monkey, the body of a tiger, and the tail with the front half of a snake. It preys on those who pass by the mountain it inhabits in.
  • The Cameo: Appears in the opening titles, and briefly in the final episode.
