The inhabitants of the Drift Rider

Alyndra Vallis

A Lashunta Solarion who is newly discovering her powers and her abilities, Alyndra is the Captain of the Drift Rider. The strongest member of the Team, Alyndra mixes melee combat with her powerful solar abilities.
  • Gravity Master: Alyndra's Solarion abilities give her control over local gravity.
  • Green-Skinned Space Babe: As a Lashunta, Alyndra fits this trope.
  • Long Lost Sibling: A vision in the Dreaming Pool shows Alyndra her long lost sister. Possibly.
  • Playing with Fire: Many of Alyndra's abilities involve the creation and manipulation of fire, much to her enemies lament.
  • Poor Communication Kills: Due to the teams inability to speak Kish, Alyndra is forced to kill one of the natives in self defense.
  • The Captain: Alyndra is Captain of the Drift Rider, issuing orders during space combat, as well as taunting or intimidating the enemy.
  • The Heart: As the youngest and most innocent of the Drift Rider Crew, Alyndra often feels this way.

ANDIS-147

An Android Mechanic, ANDIS is an ex-slave who escaped and set up a repair business on Absalom Station. ANDIS-147 is the Drift Rider's chief Engineer. As a mechanic, ANDIS-147 uses their Exocortex to track targets in battle.
  • Androids Are People, Too: Android's are fully sapient beings with souls, and legally citizens throughout the pact worlds. Despite this, many are still treated as slaves to this day.
  • Artificial Afterlife: ANDIS-147 discovers that their exocortex houses remnants or echoes of all 146 previous souls that have inhabited the body that they currently hold.
  • Combat Medic: ANDIS-147 is the teams medic, treating deadly wounds on themself and others.
  • Gadgeteer Genius: As a Mechanic, ANDIS is naturally this.
  • Made a Slave: ANDIS-147 was "born" into slavery
  • Older Than They Look: ANDIS-147 is at getting close to 100 years of age. Their body is actually at least 5000 years old, quite possibly more.
  • The Smart Guy: Shares this role with Rami.
  • The Prophecy: ANDIS and the other members of their line are the subject of a prophecy involving Triune. What's interesting is that their bodies are actually several thousand years older then Triune.
  • Your Days Are Numbered: ANDIS-147 is nearing the end of their life cycle.

Edrass Veranis

A Vesk Soldier, formerly a pirate captain of the Diaspora, Edrass was marooned by his old crew when they thought he was weak for letting a medical shipment go. He became a mercenary, famous for his daring assault on a pharmaceutical CEO who was price gouging locals for essential medicines. On the Drift Rider, Edrass is the primary gunner
  • Fire Purifies: Edrass's baptism into Sarenraeism involved being (non lethally) set on fire
  • Folk Hero: Edrass is famous throughout the pact worlds for his daring assault on a price gouging Pharmaceutical CEO
  • Religious Bruiser: Following book 2, Edrass converts to the faith of Sarenrae. He later took the Divine Champion archetype, giving him access to holy damage, and a small number of healing spells
  • Running Gag: Monsters that inject you with young seem to gravitate to Edrass. Many jokes are made about his tendency to become "pregnant"
  • Space Pirate: Used to be one. He's still friends with a fair few of them.
  • The Big Guy: He's a 6 foot something tall lizard man with a giant axe.
  • The Captain: Was once a pirate captain who cared deeply about his crew. Some of them didn't return the favour.
  • The Mentor: As an experienced soldier and former captain, he often offers advice to Alyndra in the art of war.

Gnak SizrakFeldspar

An Ysoki Envoy, Gnak is a conman, a grifter, a swindler, and a cheat. On the Drift Rider, Gnak acts of the ships science officer.
  • Con Man: Gnak is introduced swindling a telepathic living brain into buying a trash compactor, claiming it is a beachfront property.
  • Corrupt Corporate Executive: In the aftermath of Episode 34, Gnak changes themes from Outlaw to Corporate Agent.
  • Deadpan Snarker: If theres a sarcastic comment to be made, chances are, Gnak will be the one to make it.
  • Pragmatic Hero: Gnak is something of a pragmatist, usually looking for the easy way out.
  • Prodigal Hero: Grew up a member of the powerful Clan Feldspar, but was exiled after he was caught attempting to embezzle several billion credits. Rejoins the family after the events of episode 34
  • That Man Is Dead: Describes his birth name, Zek, as this
  • The Lancer: Gnak often fills this role.

Rami Quindarr

Rami, the human technomancer, is a pilot, thief and hacker from the planet Verces. Born the scion of the wealthiest corporation on the planet, Rami was enrolled at the best pilot schools money could buy. In secret, he learned the ways of technomancy from his online mentor, Kendori. Rami is the Drift Riders pilot.

     Absalom Station 

Chickzyx

The crew's contact and handler in the Starfinder Society, Chickzyx is a Shirren, part of an insectoid race. Chickzyx is usually less helpful then the crew would like, but they pays well. First Appears in Episode 4

Kreel

A Dwarf recruiting new members for the beleagured Starfinder Society. First Appears in Episode 2 Killed in his first appearance

Gevalarsk Nor

The Eoxian Ambassador to Absalom Station, Nor is a neutral arbitrator in the mining rights attached to the Drift Rock. He assists the Crew in getting there, as well as asking for a few favours. First Appears in Episode 9

Rob-ob

A Camera Robot programmed to follow the crew and record their activities on the Drift Rock, Rob-Ob is full of pep. First seen in episode 9

Master Passelar

Alyndra's teacher in the study of Astronomy, Passelar is an incredibly old scientist. Part of the team that discovered Calathu-7, Passelar knew ANDIS-146 First appeared in Episode 14

    Friends and Allies 

Kendori

Rami's online mentor in the art of Technomancy, Kendori is An Artificial Intelligence inside a Spaceship, often delivering timely warnings when Rami's past is catching up with him. First appears in Episode 22

Yex

A Sarcesian Sniper who left his home due to his dissatisfaction with local politics, only to end up the brainwashed slave of a Skreesire

Arkor

Edrass's first mate on the Sunscale, Arkor is an Ysoki. First appeared in Episode 29
