- Dark and Troubled Past: As shown with Aerri and Queen Ganglia Tauren-Avalon, many Serenum Pueri members never had it easy. Some like Aerri grew up with truly Abusive Parents, thus necessitating their adoption.
- Happily Adopted: As is the case with their cousins, the Liberi Lunae, many Serenum Pueri members grew up with Abusive Parents like Aerri. They see Sunny Field as a vast improvement over their birth parents even if he isn't perfect himself by any means.
- Interspecies Adoption: As shown with Aerri Vaughoof, a Deinonychus Dracosaur, some members of the Serenum Pueri are of different species when they were adopted.
- Meaningful Name: Their group name translates to "Sunny's children" in Latin, referring to both their relations as the adoptive/biological children of Sunny Field Vaughoof, as well as the Alicorn name Sunny Field would get upon Ascending in the Fourth Age. It also contrasts their cousins, the Liberi Lunae, whose group name translates to "children of the moon" in Latin.

Dawn-Star Vaughoof is the Alicorn god of Dreams, Obsession, and Growth, and is the oldest biological son of Sunny Field Vaughoof.
- Anthropomorphic Personification: He's an Alicorn god who embodies Dreams, Obsession, and Growth.
- Cheerful Child: As a baby, he laughed when his paternal uncle, Moon Ray, fawned over him and called him a "lil' cutie".Moon Ray Vaughoof: Who's a lil' cutie? You are!
Dawn-Star Vaughoof: (laughing) Hehehehehehe! - Deity of Human Origin: Like his father and uncle, he was originally a mortal Earth Pony who later Ascended to godhood.
- Divine Parentage: Initially this was inverted, as he's an ancient Ascendant god while his biological father, Sunny Field Vaughoof, was a mortal Earth Pony. Suny Field eventually Ascends to eldritch godhood in the Fourth Age after spending three Ages as an Archangel of Redemption, playing this trope straight.
- Family Theme Naming: He and his male biological family members are named after cosmic bodies. In his case, his name is Dawn-Star Vaughoof. His father, Sunny Field Vaughoof, and his grandfather, Sunny Mane Vaughoof, are named after the sun, also a star. His biological uncle, meanwhile, is named Moon Ray Vaughoof.
- The Magnificent: Known as "the Healer of Obsession".
- No Celebrities Were Harmed: He's based on Tyrone Vaughan, the son of Jimmie Vaughan and nephew of Stevie Ray Vaughan. Like Tyrone, he would become a musician in line with what his father and uncle did, though different circumstances and choices on his part would lead to him Ascending to godhood.
- Personality Powers: His domains pertain to dealing with dreams and helping people overcome their obsessions with things so they can grow for the better.
- Small Parent, Huge Child: As a "Tier IV"-ranked god, he's naturally older and bigger than his father, Sunny Field, who spent three Ages being an Archangel until he Ascended to godhood himself. Even then, he's still bigger than Sunny Field because his father only reached up to the rank of "Tier III" by using Moon Ray's eldritch "Spark".
- Stellar Name: His name is Dawn-Star Vaughoof.
- Winged Unicorn: Like his father, he became an Alicorn after Ascending, though three Ages earlier than Sunny Field did.
