     Winner

Paras Atashnak

Age: 23

Number Of HOH Wins: 2

Number Of POV Wins: 0

Number Of Times Nominated: 1

A 23 year old law student from British Columbia. No, she's not a Pokémon.

  • Ascended Fan: Is a big big time fan of the series.
  • Brainless Beauty: Wants to deliberately play this up so she can win when it really counts. Of course in reality she subverts this trope and is actually throwing comps or rather was. She finally wins a competition for HoH and puts Daela up showing she's very capable but botches the veto allowing Kaela to save both herself and showmance and send Will packing.
  • Gamer Girl: Like Alex from BB19, she enjoys playing video games.
  • Gasshole: Those are not sound effects....
  • Obfuscating Stupidity: Pretends to be your classic ditzy brunette like Talla or Pilar, but in reality she's got a better grip on the game than even some of the super fans.
  • That Came Out Wrong: Mentions she has sweaty palms during the first head of household competition. It sounded a lot like innuendo.

     The Runner-up

Kaela Grant

Age: 25

Number of HoH Wins: 3

Number of POV wins: 3

Number of Times Nominated: 2

  • Big Bad: Manipulating every vote from the midway point on and getting exactly who she wants out as well as being the biggest villainous competition threat, definitely. The media really played this up.
  • Graceful Loser: It's obviously she felt she deserved to win, but ultimately congratulated Paras.
  • Greater Scope Evil: Kaela has been seen as this, and it's been proven.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: Boasts that she should have won, but what really did it in was also that she called the jurors a bunch of babies. That easily helped lead to Paras getting a 6-1 vote. Ouch.
  • Out of Focus: Also along with Derek, but once she finds out that her and Derek's name are getting thrown out, she starts upping her game in competitions.

     The Jury

Derek Kesseler

Age: 27

Number of HoH Wins: 3

Number of POV wins: 2

Number of Times Nominated: 3

A 27 year old entrepreneur from Beaumont, Alberta. He's notable mostly for his relationship with Kaela.

  • Dumb Muscle: Not as dumb as Will, but often has to be reminded by Kaela how to play the game being that he's never seen an episode. Or is he?
  • Genre Blind: Admittedly so, but due to Character Development he starts learning what the game is about. He even threatens Kaela with the Bitter Juror argument.
  • Informed Ability: Thanks to the editing, Derek is made up as some kind of a Greater Scope Evil but it's only because she's with Kaela.
  • Out of Focus: Until Week 6, when Kaela won Head of Household.
  • Satellite Love Interest: Outside of a few moments where he admits he'd be a bitter Juror if Kaela cut him, Derek really doesn't have much personality compared to his showmance. He's also given a more positive edit than Kaela even called an angel while Kaela is called a devil.

William "Will" Kenny

Age: 25

Number Of HOH Wins: 0

Number Of POV Wins: 0

Number Of Times Nominated: 3

A 25 year old Oilfield technician from Newfoundland.

  • Butt-Monkey: From being nominated several times, receiving a lot of votes, and overall not being the brightest bulb, Will just seems to be the unluckiest houseguest. And he didn't even win a single competition.
  • Dumb Muscle: Not super dumb just... gullible. Kaela says drop during a HOH for a phone call from his son Parker, he drops when he could have had a video. Then later, Derek says drop during a crucial POV that could make or break the trio standing in Daela's way, he drops and his ally Maddy is sent to the jury house.
  • Too Dumb to Live: He could have easily gotten himself into the final four with his alliance of Maddy and Paras... but he was convinced to throw the challenge.

Maddy Poplett

Age: 25

Number of HoH Wins: 0

Number of POV wins: 0

Number of Times Nominated: 1

A 25 year old Bartender from Ottawa, Ontario.

Johnny Mulder

Age: 28

Number Of HOH Wins: 2

Number Of POV Wins: 3

Number Of Times Nominated: 1

A house-husband from Victoria, British Columbia, Johnny's described by himself as having a shrewd intellect and heart of gold. Johnny started the season being chosen as one of the houseguests chosen to go to Hell to compete for the HOH and when Paras and Will offered him a deal, he refused and ended up winning the competition. He then decided to put up the first one that dropped (Alejandra) and someone who seemed a little too noisy as well as someone who cheered for a girl to win (Rozina). He's quick to turn on the crocodile tears to get the house into thinking what he wants, and ultimately got his wish by getting Rozina out of the house.

  • Ascended Fan: Like many contestants on the show, Johnny is a fan of the game, and it shows.
  • Crocodile Tears: Turned on the waterworks when he won HOH saying he hated the idea of nominating someone, to trick the houseguests into going along with his plan of getting Rozina out of the house for cheering for Paras instead of him, making him leary of a Girl's Alliance.
  • He Cleans Up Nicely: Definitely a very attractive guy when he takes off his classes and dresses in a tuxedo in the bartending HOH.
  • Henpecked Husband: According to Johnny, he's a stay-at-home husband to his wife, who works for them and doesn't mind being bossed around.
  • Manipulative Bastard: Is more than willing to use his charm to his advantage in getting other houseguests to fall for Crocodile Tears so he can move forward in the game.
  • Megane: Johnny is one of two houseguests who frequently wears glasses.
  • No Fair Cheating: Accidentally gets himself disqualified for swapping his arm on a competition when they were limited to only one.
  • Tears of Remorse: Felt legitimately bad after Rozina was sent home and went off-camera to cry.

Olivia Riemer

Age: 22

Number Of HOH Wins: 0

Number Of POV Wins: 0

Number Of Times Nominated:
1

Hometown: Guelph, Ontario

Occupation: Student

Olivia is self described as a "polished, logical, type-A beauty". She was told by a houseguest consensus that nobody would want to come to her funeral. Granted, it was for fun and hopefully not serious, but still. Thankfully for this perky 22 year old student, she didn't let it get to her unlike other houseguests.

  • Alpha Bitch: Not as apparent as some of the other females but her treatment of Veronica especially comes off as extremely mean spirited.
  • Butt-Monkey: Seems to be the punching bag of the house, given that she was told nobody would want to attend her funeral in a (admittedly joking) HOH Competition.
  • Innocently Insensitive: The house saw her as kind of a bitch, meaning HOH Ryan would get no blood on his hands if he got her out. However, this seems to be an Informed Attribute.
  • The Dog Bites Back: Hamza was dead-set on getting rid of her, so naturally she went right for him once Ryan won the veto.
  • Vomit Discrection Shot: Tossed her cookies in the sink. Eww...

Alejandra Martinez

Age: 30

Number of HoH Wins: 0

Number of POV wins: 0

Number of Times Nominated:
1

A 30 year old Personal Trainer from Vancouver.

  • Chekhov's Gunman: Apparently goes Out of Focus, but she becomes far more relevant as the game goes on
  • Spicy Latina: Zig-zagged. Alejandra has her moments of acting like this trope, but she also has plenty of quiet moments as well. It depends all on her mood.
  • Taking You with Me: Threatened to blow up Johnny's game because he nominated her. It worked.

Ryan Balllantine

Age: 39

Number Of HOH Wins: 1

Number Of POV Wins: 1

Number Of Times Nominated: 4

A book-smart Fire Safety Technician from Calgary Alberta, and self-professed "troll" who plans to manipulate houseguests and find secret alliances. He's He was one of the lucky houseguests who got to Heaven instead of Hell, in the first week, and ended up forming a bond with Andrew. Unfortunately for him, he won HOH and the house was gunning for Andrew. So he had to put their friendship aside and ultimately put Andrew and Hamza (who asked to be put up to avoid getting backdoored) up on the block.

  • Affably Evil: He's a polite fellow, but don't let that fool you. He's willing to betray his allies to keep the house happy.
  • Ascended Fan: The token "super-fan" of the season having watched every season of the show, both in the US and Canada.
  • Character Development: He actually starts losing weight and performs better at competitions.
  • Beard of Sorrow: Feels terrible that he had to nominate his two closest allies and wanted to either win the Veto, or have one of them win it so he could pull them off.
  • Running Gag: Has wound up competing in every Veto competition and then fails epically at them since a lot are physical. Subverted on day 27 when he managed to win one.
  • Shoot the Shaggy Dog: He is saved from the block by Viewer Participation. However he ends up going the very next week.
  • Troll: A self-proclaimed one. Time will tell if he truly is one.

     Eliminated Houseguests:

Erica Hill

Age: 23

Number of HoH wins: 2

Number of POV wins: 2

Number of times nominated: 1

A 23 year old server from Pickering, Ontario. She won the power of veto during the second week, and elected not to use it. She then won the head of household competition, went after Veronica and won head of household again.

  • Break the Cutie: After realizing the house is full of two-faced people and going up as a replacement nominee, she ends up going immediately on a rather tragic exit.
  • One of the Boys: Erica usually dresses in jeans and wears baseball caps. Though she is very much a Tomboy with a Girly Streak.
  • Shut Up, Hannibal!: Upon her blindside, she called Kaela a backstabber and cried her way out.
  • The Smurfette Principle: During the second power of veto competition, she was the only one who was female.
  • Straight Gay: Would you know she's gay when you look at her?

Merron Haile

Age: 22

Number of nominations:3

A 22 year old business student. With a laughably bad social game, no competition wins period and a pitiful excuse for how he got into the house, this young man was doomed from the start. While he tried to campaign to stay, the house ultimately chose to keep Ryan as Erica knew where his target was aimed in her own words. So, Merron became the sixth person to be evicted.

  • Butt-Monkey: Has received the most votes to be voted out out of any houseguest in the Canadian edition.
  • Backstab Backfire: Plotted to get Erica out if he ever won HoH.
  • The Drag-Along: Similar to Metta World Peace from Celebrity Big Brother US, Merron won absolutely nothing and had nothing to contribute to an alliance to the point of almost being Genre Blind.
  • The Dragon: Along with Erica, was Hamza's top dog who ironically left immediately after him.
  • Genre Blind: He should have come up with a better excuse as to why he and Veronica entered the house. As if he hasn't gotten enough flak for his lack of social game and zero competition wins, he even had a hard time flying under the radar by the aforementioned target on his back.
  • The Load: See the above. He's usually the first one out of any competition except for one which he was bested by Ryan.
  • The Stoic: Whenever Merron isn't trying to play with someone he's a Perpetual Frowner.

Hamza Hatoum

Age: 27

Number of HoH wins: 1

Number of POV wins: 0

Number of times nominated: 2

A 27 year old soccer coach from Thunder Bay, Ontario. Hamza calls himself the "champ who runs the camp" and won't bow down to anyone. He started off as one of Andrew's friends who is loyal to a fault. He placed second in the Tomb Raider inspired Veto, and was nominated beside Andrew because he asked to be nominated. Sure, it was to avoid being backdoored and he was ultimately safe, but let's just say had he gone home that would have been a fatal mistake.

  • The Chessmaster: Subverted. The edit may have viewers believe this, but in reality he had very little to do with actual nominations and votes.
  • Genre Blind: He asks to be nominated without knowing the cardinal rule of Big Brother: Pawns often go home, especially if the house flips, which happens a lot. It's clear he was doing it to avoid being backdoored in the off-chance Andrew didn't win the Veto, but Andrew was so far behind that it didn't matter.
  • {{Jerkass}: Hamza may grumble and complain quite a bit, but he's actually a pretty interesting guy with plenty of amusing antics such as leading the Have-Nots to wrap the entire fridge's contents in tinfoil wrap for an amusing prank. Of course this grumpy attitude was genuine and he ends up as one of the nastier houseguests. Especially after essentially backstabbing one of his own allies in Veronica.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: The house, despite having pretty clear divides, has been mostly united in hopes of flying under the radar and not getting the target on their backs. Hamza tries to stir the pot, and targets Olivia for perceived threats but ultimately the house goes after him over Merron because Hamza stirs the pot up too much and he is far too unpredictable.
  • Properly Paranoid: Was really really dead set on getting rid of Olivia. Turns out, it was her who backdoored him.
  • Reality Show Genreblindness: He tries to present himself as a wild card openly. While he is correct in that it can be used as a shield since why bother getting rid of someone who might vote for you, he however is incorrect in that his grumpy attitude and being openly a wild card will in fact put the target on his back.
  • Troll: Much like Veronica and Hamza, he tries to stir the pot. He's admitted it on the feeds and in the Diary Room.

Veronica Doherty

Age: 24

Number of HOH wins: 0

Number of POV wins: 0

Number of Times Nominated: 1

A 24 year old Server/student from Ottawa, Onario. She and Merron were voted in as gatecrashers by Canada. She came in acting as a good person, but proceeded to go all around getting in everybody's ears and intentionally tried to rile up the house with a rogue vote. However, this made her and Merron the enemy of the house.

  • "The Reason You Suck" Speech: Right before her eviction, she gives one to the house.
  • Troll: Stirs the pot up, much like Ryan and Hamza. However she has more reasons than Hamza and Ryan.

Jesse Larson

Age: 24

Number of HOH wins: 0

Number of POV wins:

Number of Times Nominated: 1

  • Secret Test of Character: Hamza nominated him as this, because he went around trying to blow up Hamza's game, he failed and was evicted with a 9-2 vote.
  • Taking You with Me: Tried to blow up Hamza and Merron's games as punishment.

Andrew Miller

Age: 36

Number Of HOH Wins: 0

Number Of POV Wins: 0

Number Of Times Nominated: 1note

Small business owner from Toronto, Ontario. He started off the season as the holder of a big twist involving sending half the house to Heaven where they would be immune to eviction, and half to Hell where they would have to fight it out for the HOH and be in danger of being eliminated. He seemed affable enough in the start and said "No hard feelings" to the people he sent to Hell" Unfortunately, the second he was targeted by the former Hell side of the house, and put up on the block by Ryan, his best friend, he started to lose his cool and immediately screamed at people who were his allies. He apologized, but one could argue the damage has been done, and due to that, Erica made the wise decision not to use the POV.

  • Black Dude Dies First: While not the first eliminated, he's the first male eliminated.
  • Borrowed Catchphrase: Uses the catchphrase "Your boy" from Paul. Considering how poorly Paul was received their second time, as well as Andrew himself not being well received so far, this is a bad omen.
  • Disc-One Final Boss: Set up to be a really cunning villain, unfortunately, he kinda left all his likeability and charisma at the door.
  • Jerkass: Intimidates houseguests with his larger build and generally an unpleasant guy.
  • Scary Black Man: Claims to be a teddy bear, but damn if this guy isn't terrifying when he's pissed.
  • Sore Loser: Boy damn howdy, is he ever. The second it's revealed to be a unanimous vote, he doesn't even waste time saying goodbye to anyone. Not even Hamza (who didn't vote for him due to being on the block beside him) or Erica (who was afraid to go against the house) both of which were his closest friends in the house. He even calls the entire house "fake".

Rozina Yaqub

Age: 49
Number of HOH wins: 0
Number of POV wins: 0
Number Of Times Nominated: 1 note
An energetic Pakistani Canadian woman from Toronto Ontario, and a religious educator, Rozina was the primary cook for the houseguests this season. She was also one of the nominated houseguests to go to Hell. To make matters worse, her cheering for Paras to win the competition over Johnny during the Hell's cooking HOH Competition, left the wrong impression on the HOH who ended up winning. This resulted in her going up on the block, losing the Veto, and being the first evicted by a unanimous vote.

  • Cool Old Lady: She cooked for the houseguests and held her own for a while during the first HOH competition.
  • Innocently Insensitive: Cheered for Paras to win the first HOH over the two remaining guys, Will and Johnny, which Johnny saw as something he could use to his advantage to get her out.
  • Supreme Chef: All of the houseguests loved her cooking.
  • Token Minority: The sole Pakistani Canadian of this season.
  • Wall of Blather/Cannot Keep a Secret: Seemed to be the general reason by the house for evicting her.
  • We Hardly Knew Ye: Evicted within the first couple of days whilst barely getting any screentime.
