"It's me and the jungle now!"
Voiced by: Lola Raie

  • Bare Midriffs Are Feminine: Ainbo wears a crop top and short skirt that exposes her navel.
  • Genki Girl: Just try and get her to calm down, it is not easy.
  • Heroic Wannabe: Ainbo claims to be the greatest hunter warrior of her tribe, but can't even string an arrow without it harmlessly falling out of her bow and gets caught in her own snare trying to pick up the arrow. Even the local wildlife mock her ineptitude.
  • Miss Imagination: Since Ainbo has a reputation for telling fantastic stories, nobody in the village believes her when she tells them she found two spirit guides in the forest.
  • The Chosen One: Ainbo is chosen to save her village from the impending threat by Motelo Mama, in spite of her many apparent inadequacies for the task. Turns out she was chosen for her compassion, courage and determination, not skill.

    Dillo and Vaca
Voiced by: Dino Andrade and Joe Hernadez

  • Hammerspace: Dillo makes objects appear out of nothing and can send them back there, although he never lets Ainbo see how he does it, because it's a secret not meant to be known by humans.
  • Master Archer: Dillo can hit every target he aims at first time with an arrow and it's natural skill, he trained hard to become one.
  • Meaningful Name: Dillo is an armadillo.
  • Plucky Comic Relief: The two are never to be taken seriously, despite their roles as Ainbo's spirit guides.
  • Talking Animal: They have the power of speech.
  • The Trickster: They are both this, but a benevolent version. It is explained that they have to follow certain rules and can only answer honestly if the rules permit them to. The reason given is that if they show Ainbo the path, she'll never learn to walk it on her own.
  • Those Two Guys: Always seen together.

     De Witt/Yacuruna/ Will
Voiced by: Thom Hoffman

  • A God Am I: As DeWitt, the Yacaruna sets himself up to be their white shaman god, due to his use of healing medicines they were not familiar with. He even demands the tribe bow before him and worship him. In truth, he's using mind control on the tribe's royal family to force them to acknowledge him as such. When Lizeni manifests herself in human form and reveals the secrets of his hidden past, his claims to godhood are disproven fairly quickly.
  • Ascend to a Higher Plane of Existence: After being freed from control of the Yacuruna, Lizeni ascends Will to her plane of existence, as they were always meant to be together.
  • Brainwashed: The Yacuruna has the power to inflict this upon select individuals, although it appears that enthralling more then a few people at a time, say a crowd or an entire village exceeds the limits of how many can be controlled, so carefully chosen puppets in positions of authority must be chosen.
  • Gold Fever: The Yacuruna is obsessed with acquiring all the gold in the region, but it is never explained why he wants it.
  • Luke, I Am Your Father: Ainbo's father turns about to be a westerner called Will, but she never knew this and nobody who knew was willing to tell her. Also, he's been taken over by the Yacuruna and transformed into the evil land developer DeWitt.
  • Magical Barefooter: Has supernatural powers and goes barefoot in his human form.
  • Names To Run Away From Very Fast: The mere mention of the Yacuruna's name causes everyone to flee for the sake of their lives.

    Lizeni
Voiced by: Yeni Alvarez

  • Ascend to a Higher Plane of Existence: Lizeni was raised up to become a jungle spirit and as such, has no fear of the Yacaruna.
  • Missing Mom: Ainbo's mother is known to be deceased, although the particulars of how she exactly died are never explained.
