For Every Big Bad in Super Sentai, there's always going to be a Big Good who assembles the team to defeat it.


  • In General:
  • Himitsu Sentai Gorenger: Commander Gonpachi Edogawa, the commander of the Japanese block of EAGLE.
  • J.A.K.Q. Dengekitai: Commander Daisuke Kujirai, AKA Joker, is the mentor of JAKQ. He leaves after two-thirds into the series, and is replaced by Sokichi Banba/Big One, who becomes the new leader of the team. Joker later returns in the final episode and in JAKQ Vs. Goranger.
  • Battle Fever J: General Kurama Tetsuzan, Commander of Battle Fever.
  • Denshi Sentai Denziman: Denzi Dog IC, a robotic dog that arrives from Planet Denzi and assembles the Denzimen. Also doubles as a Team Pet and a Robot Buddy.
  • Taiyou Sentai Sun Vulcan: Daizaburou Arashiyama, commander of Sun Vulcan.
  • Dai Sentai Goggle Five: Dr. Hideki Hongou, a scientist that founded Goggle Five. Unlike other mentors, he leaves the team after two episodes, returning only for the final two episodes of the series.
  • Kagaku Sentai Dynaman: Dr. Kyuutarou Yumeno, founder of Dynaman and the Yumeno Invention Center.
  • Choudenshi Bioman: Bio Robo and Peebo, both from Planet Bio. The formers is the team's Giant Robot, and the latter is the team's mentor and Robot Buddy.
  • Dengeki Sentai Changeman: Commander Ibuki, Commander of Changeman, who appears to be human but is actually an alien from planet Heath.
  • Choushinsei Flashman: The aliens of the Flash System the rescued the Flashmen while they were kids and raised them on the System's planets, granting them powers. They don't appear in the series itself, though, and the Flashmen are instead assisted by their Robot Buddy, Mag, which was also created by the aliens.
  • Hikari Sentai Maskman: Commander Sanjuurou Sugata, founder of Maskman.
  • Choujuu Sentai Liveman: Doctor Hoshi, the principal of the Livemen's academia. He built the team's base and Colon and assisted them in creating their own powers. Unfortunately he's killed two episodes into the series.
  • Kousoku Sentai Turboranger: Fairy Seelon, a fairy that supported the team with her powers, and Dr. Dazai, a car enthusiast scientist from earth that created the team's suits and mecha.
  • Chikyuu Sentai Fiveman: Doesn't have one, though the Fivemen are supported by their Robot Buddy and father figure, Arthur G-6.
  • Choujin Sentai Jetman: Commander Aya Odagiri, Commander of Sky Force and of Jetman.
  • Kyōryū Sentai Zyuranger: Mysterious Sage Barza, the Zyurangers' wizard mentor, and Daizyuzin, god of the five tribes and the team's Mecha.
  • Gosei Sentai Dairanger: Master Kaku, the Dairangers' mentor and a former member of the Gorma Tribe.
  • Ninja Sentai Kakuranger: Sandayuu Momochi, The Kakurangers' mentor, and the three god generals (Muteki Shogun, Daishogun and Tsubasamaru).
  • Chouriki Sentai Ohranger: Chief Counsellor Naoyuki Miura, commander of Ohranger.
  • Gekisou Sentai Carranger: Hazardian Dapp, an alien kid and the sole survivor from Planet Hazard, who assembles the Carrangers.
  • Denji Sentai Megaranger: Professor Eikichi Kubota, commander of I.N.E.T.
  • Seijuu Sentai Gingaman: Elder Orghi, the leader of the Ginga people who only appears in the first two episodes, and Wisdom Tree Moak, the Gingamen's tree mentor.
  • Kyūkyū Sentai GoGoV: Professor Mondo Tatsumi, father of the GoGoV rangers and creator of their arsenal.
  • Mirai Sentai Timeranger: Doesn't have one, though the Timerangers are aided by their Robot Buddy, Tac.
  • Hyakujuu Sentai Gaoranger: Gao Priestess Tetomu, mentor of the Gaorangers, and Gao God, god of the Power Animals.
  • Ninpuu Sentai Hurricaneger: Sensei Mugensai Hinata, the Hurricaneger's sensei, and his daughter, Oboro Hinata, who created the team's arsenal.
  • Bakuryuu Sentai Abaranger: Asuka, mentor of the Abarangers, who also fights alongside them as Abare Black.
  • Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger: Doggie Kruger, the commander of SPD's earth branch who later becomes Deka Master, Swan Shiratori, who created the team's arsenal and later becomes Deka Swan, and Supreme Commander Horusian Numa-O, the head of SPD as a whole.
  • Mahou Sentai Magiranger: The Heavenly Saints, who provide the Magirangers with their powers, and their leader, Heavenly Arch Saint Magiel.
  • GoGo Sentai Boukenger: Mister Voice/Leona, the mentor of the Boukengers.
  • Juken Sentai Gekiranger: The Seven Fist Sages, as well as Miki Masaki, who created the Gekirangers' arsenal, and Bruce EE, who developed the Beast Fist Martial Arts style.
  • Engine Sentai Go-onger: Doesn't have one, though the Go-Ongers are assisted by their Robot Buddy, BOMPER. Engine Jum-bowhale later becomes the team's mentor.
  • Samurai Sentai Shinkenger: Hikoma Kusakabe, AKA "Jii", mentor of the Shinkengers.
  • Tensou Sentai Goseiger: Master Head, ruler of the Gosei World.
  • Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger: Akaranger (In addition to being the personification of all red rangers, as seen above) Was a former partner of Captain Marvelous and Basco To Jolocia until the latter betrayed them. Prior to the events of the series he helped Captain Marvelous collecting the Ranger Keys (Including the new Gokaiger Keys) and therefore had a role in creating the new team. Though he doesn't appear in the series itself (Other than in flashbacks), so the Gokaigers are instead assisted by his robotic parrot, Navi.
  • Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters: Takeshi Kuroki, commander of the Go-Busters.
  • Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger: Wise God Torin, mentor of the Kyoryugers and a former member of Deboss. He later becomes Kyoryu Silver.
  • Ressha Sentai ToQger: Conductor, the ToQgers' mentor, and his hand puppet, Ticket. Conductor becomes To Q 7gou in Ressha Sentai To Qger Goes and Returns: Super To Q 7gou of Dreams. Later, it is revealed that Conductor's boss is the Rainbow Line President.
  • Shuriken Sentai Ninninger: Yoshitaka Igasaki, the Ninningers' mentor and grandfather, and Tsumuji Igasaki, Akaninger and Shironinger's father. They later both become Akaninger.
  • Doubutsu Sentai Zyuohger: Doesn't have one.
  • Uchu Sentai Kyuranger: Shou Ronpo, leader of the Rebellion, who later becomes Ryu Commander.
  • Kaitou Sentai Lupinranger VS Keisatsu Sentai Patranger:
    • For the Lupinrangers: Kogure, mentor of the Lupinrangers and a butler at the Lupin Estate.
    • For the Patrangers: Samuel Hilltop, administrator of the GSPO's Japanese branch, and mentor of the Patrangers.
  • Kishiryu Sentai Ryusoulger: The Ryusoulger Masters, who either die in the first episode or prior to the series after giving their powers to their successors, and the Elder of the Ryusoul Tribe.
  • Mashin Sentai Kiramager: Muryou Hakataminami, creator of the Kiramagers' arsenal and Takamichi's brother, and Mabusheena, princess of Crystalia. Later, King Oradin, the king of Crystalia and Mabusheena's father, comes back alive and assists the Kiramagers as Mashin Oradin.
  • Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger: Secchan, a robotic parrot built by Zenkaizer's parents. He has knowledge on every Super Sentai team prior to Zenkaiger.
  • Avataro Sentai Donbrothers: Kaito Goshikida (Not the one from Zenkaiger), the mentor of the Donbrothers, who transforms into Zenkaizer Black.
  • Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger: The Shugods, the bug-like gods that form King-Ohger. Each one of them is the guardian deity of one of the nations that make up the world of Tikyū and directly empowers the King-Ohgers. The King-Ohgers themselves also qualify, as they're the rulers of each of the Kingdoms that make up the world.
  • Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger: Boondorio Boonderas, an alien Robot Buddy who can also transform into Boon Red's mecha, Boonboom Trailer. Taiya Hando/Boon Red also qualifies, as he found and befriended Boondorio and helped him build the Boonboom Cars and all of the Boonboomgers' equipment.
  • Hikonin Sentai Akibaranger: Hiroyo Hakase, mentor of the Akibarangers.
