• Kenji stands up to Ootake and refuses to get rid of Kanna, the first sign that he's back to his old Determinator self.
• Kanna absolutely destroys the competition at Rabbit Navakov and then single-handedly ends a mob war and gains the united forces as an army. She eventually ends up pulling the exact same trick that Jotaro used on Daniel J. D'Arby, having a crap hand but still winning by breaking her opponent with her superior poker face.
• Otcho leaps through a church window to plant himself between Kanna and her would-be assassin.
• Sadakiyo declares that Kyoko is his student, before burning down Friend's childhood home.
• Kenji's Return. Right after Friend succeeds in becoming a god in the eyes of the people and the story reaches it Darkest Hour, we get a chapter that's only 3 pages long, consisting entirely of Kenji just casually driving down a highway on a motorcycle.
• Kenji delivers a two-chapter long Shut Up, Hannibal! to the Card-Carrying Villain who killed Kiriko's fiance, leaving him weeping and suicidal.
• Kiriko sits calmly in an isolated room for 24 hours. She injected herself with the Virus in order to test if her antivirus could work, knowing full well she would most likely die.

  Kiriko: It's been 24 hours. Humanity wins.

• "Bob Lennon", in general, as an anthem for the heroes and their forces. It gets bonus points for actually existing in real life. And being sung by Naoki Urasawa.
• Everything about the final chapter.
  • Sadakiyo sneaks up and holds up a knife to Friend's throat before he can kill everyone at the expo, declaring "I'm...a good guy."
  • Otcho takes out two of the three flying saucers over Tokyo using the giant robot's missiles.
  • Masao Tamura crashes a helicopter into the final flying saucer, which is hovering directly over Friend, killing both of them.
