Awesome / Tokyo Mew Mew New

Go To

  • Ichigo's first encounter with a Chimera Anima. The creature attacks Masaya, knocking him out. Ichigo, not knowing about her powers, throws a rock the size of her head at it. Even as just a human, she's got the guts of a hero.
  • The fights in the reboot take a page from Pretty Cure's book in that they're more physical. That being said, their magical attacks have also been re-interpreted to a more active battlefield, with Retasu's being akin to water cannons and Ichigo's essentially being a KAMEHAMEHA.
  • Retasu's powers go berserk the first time she (involuntarily) transforms. Rather than try to attack her at all, Ichigo manages to get through to her solely by talking to her.
  • Bu-Ling's stage show at the zoo. The girl has a genius sense of showmanship and is a clear hit.
  • Zakuro's first fight results in her defeating an entire murder of Chimera Anima crows solo.
  • After Mint's dog Mickey is de-Chimera'ed, Quiche once again tries to make a move on Ichigo. Only this time, Mint stops him by aiming an arrow at his head, making it perfectly clear that if he leaves even a scratch on Ichigo, he will regret it for the rest of his short life.
  • Episode 6 - Zakuro manages to keep singing at Mint's request, even while the Mews are actively fighting a Chimera in front of her.
  • Episode 7 - When surrounded by the Hornet Chimera, Masaya's first instinct is to grab a stick to defend himself and Ichigo.
    • Ichigo then grabs a stick too to try and help him.
  • Episode 8 - Bu-Ling throws herself into a Fish Chimera's mouth in order to save her siblings.
    • Retasu proves her worth not just by saving Huacha, but by also being the first to find a Mew Aqua.
  • Even after two days as a cat with little food or sleep, the first thing Ichigo does when she finds out about Tokyo Tower is to try and get there as quickly as possible.
  • When Mint is having trouble getting to the Mew Aqua due to the aliens blocking her way, Zakuro gets her past them by swinging her on her whip like a bolas.
  • A villainous example at the end of Episode 21: Kish ejects a plan to awaken Deep Blue by having Ichigo protecting Blue Knight from Kish and Pie instead of the reverse where Blue Knight's ideal is. And it succeeds.
  • The Mint Echo Spin attack, made by having Mew Mint entangled by Zakuro's whip and released it as she creates a barrage of arrows to take down multitudes of Chimera Anima.
  • The reboot anime-exclusive scene where Ichigo and Masaya use Mew Aqua Rod together to make the alien planet more habitable to the aliens.
