  • There's a moment for Gargamel in the opening credits, using footage taken from a special episode from the previous season of the show
Gargamel: (with Power Echoes while standing on a mountain) Ravage the land as never before! / Total destruction FROM MOUNTAIN TO SHORE!
  • In "The Purple Smurfs", Papa Smurf needed one of the titular Smurfs every time he had a possible cure for The Virus causing the transformation, something not easy due the purplified Smurfs becoming stronger under its effects and Hefty being the second Purple Smurf. In the second attempt, the three Smurfs who Got Volunteered managed to overpower and bring him Smurfin' Hefty.
  • In "Papa's Family Album" Brainy gets a big one. Back when he was a Smurfling he singelhandedly saved the whole village from being turned into gold by the evil imp Hotap and his goblin army. Perhaps this rare heroic act by Brainy explains why Papa Smurf still keeps Brainy in the village, despite all the damage he has already done with his overbearing verve.
  • In "Clumsy Luck", Smurfette, full of anger at thinking that Clumsy died due to the superstitions of the villagers, takes Vanity's broken mirror and finishes breaking it in front of everyone, to prove that there is no luck or bad luck.
  • In "Vanity Fair", when Brainy and Smurfette find the great magic mirror where Vanity is imprisoned, Brainy, in his typical cowardice, makes up a whole speech to stay away from the mirror, but Smurfette, indignant, without saying a word, pushes Brainy to the mirror, because she only cares about saving Vanity.
  • Papa Smurf outsmarting Dr. Charlatan in "The Miracle Smurfer".
  • In "Hefty's Heart", when Papa Smurf and four other smurfs are glued to the table and Hefty (infected by the Yellow Hate Disease) is trapped in the cage, Gargamel starts to bully the smurfs. Hefty laughs when he sees Gargamel break Brainy's glasses, Vanity's mirror, Harmony's horn, and Handy's pencil, as Hefty is apparently always irritated by everyone's behavior. But when Gargamel bullies Papa Smurf, Hefty changes his attitude as he truly loves Papa Smurf and sees no defect in him. That's when Hefty realizes what he's doing and gradually overcomes the Disease, until he, with his strength, destroys the cage, defeats Gargamel and saves all the Smurfs!
  • In "The Smurfette", Smurfette disguised as a Lone Smurf to rescue her fellow Smurfs from Gargamel and Azrael, thus earning her place in the village.
