What's the best way to deal with a Stand that causes hemolysis by acting as a flesh-melting virus? ...BLOW IT UP.

  • The first time Josuke fully awakens Soft & Wet. After all the "ability"-type Stands of part 7, it's refreshing to see a humanoid Stand doing things like destroying a wall with a single kick.
    Josuke: Shh... Soft... & Wet...
  • Josuke's Memory Gambit to defeat Daiya's California King Bed. The only way to defeat it, and get back any memories it's stolen, is to get Daiya to step into Josuke's shadow. Despite being blind, Daiya is Crazy-Prepared in her awareness of where every possible light, object, or shadow could possibly be located. Because of this, Josuke knew there was a very good chance of being further victimized by her ability before he could defeat it. So he sets up a trap that takes advantage of this fact by hiding Daiya's phone in the refrigerator (using Soft & Wet to conceal the sound of the door's opening and closing). When sent to retrieve it (not knowing himself by this point why he put it there), he opens the door, collects the phone, and the soap bubble containing the fridge door's sound pops, making Daiya think it's closed. This lures her in and gets her to step on Josuke's shadow, cast by the fridge light.
  • Josuke's defeat of Yotsuyu Yagiyama, which culminates in him interrupting Yagiyama's devastating stand ability with a single well-placed punch.
  • Aishou Dainenjiyama is defeated by nine-year-old Tsurugi using his Stand to make Dainenjiyama see an oncoming bus as Jobin.
  • The page that describes the life cycle of the Rock Humans gives a moment to a random anonymous nature photographer. Not only did they even find out that the species exists at all, which considering how well the creatures can infiltrate society is impressive, but they also managed to get a downright absurd amount of information about the creatures on a cultural, biological and sociological level.
  • The climax of the battle with the A. Phex Brothers is great. When Josuke is seemingly overpowered by the poisonous gas created by the younger brother's Stand, he manipulates the older brother's transfer ability by stuffing the ball with his soap bubbles, which contain the gas. And if that's not enough, Karera returns with Love Love Deluxe and uses her hair abilities to immolate the older brother. That's poison gas plus fire. How do you get more badass than that?
    • The fight proceeding this was awesome as well, with Josuke giving a refreshing example of how combat in the series worked in the early days by mixing Stand fighting with some brutal close-quarters combat.
  • During an extended flashback detailing how the original owners of Josuke's two halves, Josefumi and Kira, met and became fused, the A. Phex Brothers confront Josefumi while the latter is losing parts of his body to the effects of the Rokakaka fruit. However, Josefumi's also experiencing extreme emotional duress from seemingly being unable to save Kira, and is in no mood for dealing with more Rock Humans. The result? Josefumi beats the everloving shit out of the brothers in seconds flat; one suffers a broken knee and likely a severe concussion, while the other gets his head stabbed by a branch before receiving a good old-fashioned attack rush from Soft & Wet and a brutal knee to the face from Josefumi. He may be a kind-hearted guy willing to repay his debts, but just like his fused self, Josefumi does not fuck around.
    • It get even more awesome when you remember he had just survived Damo and Yotsuyu. Josefumi managed to face almost every enemy introduced, in less then a day head on and survived.
  • Hato coming to accept that her boyfriend is evil. With some help from Josuke (who gets her out of Vitamin C's range), she shows off the powers of her Stand Walking Heart for the first time, extending her heels like a spear and impaling Damo through his face and neck several times.
  • Josuke punching Damo in the head so hard it explodes.
  • During the encounter with Dolomite, Blue Hawaii finally infects Josuke through a baby. Dolomite orders him to give up information and drown himself, but gets blindsided by Yasuho, who tracked him down through Paisley Park and proceeds to threaten him into letting go of Josuke and telling them what he knows. After spending several chapters being victimized by enemy Stand users, it's great to see Yasuho save Josuke and get some leads in the process.
  • Rai Mamezuku loses four of his fingers to Urban Guerrilla's Stand, Brain Storm. This doesn't stop him from kicking ass: he uses his own Stand, Doggy Style, to slash at his opponent from afar with a knife, turn his arm stump into a makeshift crossbow to launch a fork into Urban Guerrilla's eye, and shoot a fuel tank to soak the whole area in gas, which he lights on fire, creating a large flaming explosion that takes out his Rock Human and Animal adversaries.
  • The Ozon Baby fight features an awesome father and son team-up with Jobin and Tsurugi. Due to the enemy Stand's nature, they are left facing an illusory foe while Poor Tom is off having fun far away. Since getting to him is impossible due to the depressurizing effect of Ozon Baby, they instead force him to come to them. How do they do that? By combining their Stands' abilities: Tsurugi uses his Paper Moon King to create living origami figures which head towards the orchard, where Jobin's Speed King ignites the paper, which had been doused in kerosene earlier. They then send pictures of the burning orchard to Poor Tom, forcing him to head to them in order to save the Rokakaka branch.
    • What's even better is how they ultimately walk away as winners of this encounter. With Paper Moon King already activated, one of the origami manages to land on Poor Tom, which made him believe he secured the Rokakaka branch when Rai was defeated, but he instead ran off with a fallen pear branch since he couldn't tell the difference (and by extension, neither could Josuke or Rai, who was Not Quite Dead). The moment the coast was clear, Jobin managed to sneak away with the branch and successfully graft it onto a cactus plant, with everyone else after the fruit none the wiser.
  • The opening chapters of the hospital arc spare no expense in presenting Mitsuba Higashikata as a vanity-crazed Rich Bitch. Slamming an elevator in front of an old woman, obsessed with status, and digging herself into a Rokakaka-filled rabbit hole because she wanted the breasts of a 20-something. All of this goes out the window the instant she realizes Wu may have done something to her unborn child. Cue her summoning a beast of a Stand and making it very clear that the good doctor has hell to pay.
  • Towards the end of the Dangerous Pursuit arc, Holly appears to help a severely wounded Josuke. She manages to take him to the room the rock humans are using to make the rokakaka medicine, explain that she had been given Rokakaka by the rock humans leading to her periods of coma and dementia, heal Josuke, and give him a clue in how to defeat the Head Doctor in the scant minutes she had before she lapsed back into a comatose state.
    • Josuke's monologue immediately following this, where he calls Holly his mom, cements his sense of determination. Doubles as a moment of heartwarming.
  • Chapter 95 features Joshu's first undoubtedly heroic act: kicking Yasuho's phone towards an electric socket. Jobin insists that said phone be destroyed for good, thus killing the stand and Yasuho along with it, but Joshu uses quick thinking and a moment of distraction to save her life. And he does it quietly.
  • Chapter 96 has Rai escaping from prison, drawing the same conclusion that Josuke has: despite being unable to pursue the head doctor directly, the biggest loophole of his Stand is that he can't stop anyone who just happens to be in the same place as him. In order to do so, despite being able to escape very easily, he uses his Stand to get several items, and then incites his cellmate to try and attack him. This results in the cellmate grievously injuring himself by way of Akefu's Stand reflecting his negative karma, and then Rai hiding in his clothes so that he can be taken to the hospital without incident since he isn't pursuing Akefu directly, he's just being taken to him.
  • The full reveal of Josuke's plan to confront the head doctor ends up being an incredibly skillful manipulation. After discovering the hidden Rokakaka lab within the hospital, he plays the part of a whistleblower by sending evidence of Akefu's research on Holly to a news reporter, who then confronts Akefu in regards to his wrongdoings. Despite the reporter's death, the plan works and Akefu has been made to pursue Josuke, who has been patiently waiting within the research lab. All this time, Josuke has not moved from his station, confident that the head doctor will be the one pursuing him.
  • Special mention goes to Rai for getting within 20 CENTIMETERS of Akefu without triggering his EXTREMELY SENSITIVE stand activation condition - which is an acheivment since the thing responds to things such as just THINKING about pursuing him - and actually making the Head Doctor himself unsure about what sort of Calamaity would happen since he's never actually BEEN in a situation where he's so close to anyone before, and he is possibly the first human to EVER physically, intentionally put his hands on the head doctor.
  • The amount of coordination it took to finally corner Wonder of U finally starts to come together in chapter 103. Yasuho's phone call to Kei forces the Calamity to temporarily target her, buying Josuke some much needed time to enact the next part of his plan to lure Wonder of U into his traps by destroying every single sample of Locacaca 6251 in the lab. He eventually makes a mistake in trying to attack Wonder of U and gets injured by his own bubble traps and impaled on a steel beam...and then Kei bursts into the secret Rokkakaka lab with Born This Way, managing to use Josuke's bubble traps to finally land a blow on Wonder of U, with the damage transferring to Tooru miles away at the Higashikata estate. Wonder of U is in absolute disbelief that someone actually had the ability to successfully land an attack on it.
  • Chapter 106: At long last, someone (Josuke's bubbles, specifically) manages to land a serious blow on Tooru. Twice! The end result is the rock man sprawled out in the garage, bleeding out from his injuries.
  • Chapter 107: The titular Kaato Higashikata's "attack" fully deserves the focus. Everyone, from Yasuho to Tooru to the viewers themselves, fully believe she's about to succumb to her despair and grief over finding Jobin's dead body, and is on the verge of attacking Tooru in vengeance, Berserker Tears streaming down her face all the while- which Yasuho rightfully fears would allow Tooru the chance to escape the fatal wounds the heroes have gone through hell to inflict upon him through the new Rokakaka's Equivalent Exchange. Unwilling to let the opportunity escape him, Tooru begins mocking and taunting Kaato in hopes of drawing her closer, bringing up all the suffering her family has endured, of how everything Jobin ever tried to achieve came to naught in the end, and how Kaato's attempts to save Jobin from his fate have now only left her with painful memories of her separation from her family for years. Apparently giving into her anger, Kaato finally unveils her Stand, Space Trucking, in full, seemingly attacking Tooru with her playing cards and pushing him to the floor with them, as Yasuho looks on in horror at the appearance of Wonder of U overlooking the scene from the rooftop, ready to unleash more beneficial calamities for Tooru... only for nothing to happen. Showing she's still got a clear head, despite her clear anger towards her son's murderer, Kaato reveals her Stand allows her to hide objects in the space between two cards and despite his existing wounds; Tooru isn't harmed- merely pinned down to the garage floor, helpless before Kaato, as she demonstrates by holding her hand out to him just out of reach and taunting the prone Rock Human with his helplessness, before clarifying that she has no intention of attacking or pursuing him at all, hence, despite his grave situation Wonder of U's calamities cannot affect her or save Tooru. Finally, Kaato reveals her trump card and the reason she risked coming into close contact with Tooru in the first place- Tsurugi's body, on the verge of succumbing to the family's hereditary curse, is stored within her cards, and Kaato Forces Tooru to touch him, beginning the Equivalent Exchange between them- and forcing Tooru to absorb the Higashikata Curse from Tsurugi in the process. As a bonus, since the exchange is beneficial to saving the mortally-wounded Tooru's life, Wonder of U's powers are still unable to interfere, even as he's unwillingly absorbing the negative effects of the Higashikata Curse in the process. A far cry from the untouchable figure Tooru's been once the scope of his Stand's powers became clear.
Tooru: What is between those cards?!!
Kaato: My family's "curse". And now, you will undertake all of this.
  • Wonder of U lives, able to exist without a stand user, Norisuke suffering as his body gets worse. Yasuho comes to the conclusion that Wonder of U is beyond a stand, and is in fact a metaphysical concept of bad karma that the stand could just abuse, the Calamities could continue endlessly without any hope ... until Josuke stumbles in, asking her to move to the left ... and uses his new power, Soft and Wet: Go Beyond, to destroy the remains. Not only did he avoid harming Norisuke's body at all during the attack, he destroyed the concept of bad luck with spin and a stand rush, JoJo style.
  • The final chapters flashback to 1941, where a young Japanese man named Josefumi assists an elderly Lucy Steel, now a member of the Speedwagon Foundation investigating the Locacaca fruit and a roadside where people go crazy, strip off their clothes, and disappear. It turns out that a rail guard near the location is a Rock organism that eats people alive, which almost kills Lucy if not for intervention of Fumi, who instead gets attacked by the creature. The struggle between Radio Gaga (the rock organism) and Fumi leads to his sweater ripping off, revealing a star shaped birthmark. Lucy sees this and realizes that this young man is a descendant of Johnny; she calls on him to use his ability, and he does, using his geta sandal and his Stand, which takes the form of purple vines to crash the car that drove them to the site into Radio Gaga. After getting distracted by some clackers, Fumi then uses his Stand to beat the monster off the guard rail. While carrying Lucy to safety, Fumi reveals that his full name is Joseph Joestar.
