Chapter One - The Fall of Remnant
  • The Battle of Vale. Despite ultimately failing, the people of Vale put up a hell of a fight against a numerically and technologically superior enemy. They throw everything they have at Brainiac, which thanks to the presence of the Vytal Tournament meant they had more armed forces than nearly anywhere else. Old rivalries were forgotten as White Fang operatives fought side-by-side with Huntsmen and Atlesian soldiers just to try and survive. At that moment, Remnant was never more united.
    • Brainiac's victory, despite being horrific, also falls under this category. In the span of two days, he did more damage to the people of Remnant than even Salem over the course of untold millennia. Nothing stopped him, not Huntsmen, not Remnant's armies, not even the largest horde of Grimm in recorded history. Nothing stood in his way to getting what he wanted.
  • The rescue of a young Faunus girl trapped in rubble during the final stages of the Battle of Vale. The eight of them fight off hundreds of drones and manage to get the girl to safety. It goes to show that, even when things are bleakest, hope still lives. Too bad it's immediately followed by Ruby getting captured by Brainiac.
  • WBY and JNPR immediately going to rescue Ruby after she is kidnapped by Brainiac. They don't even hesitate, and their desire ends up convincing Ironwood to help blow a hole into Brainiac's mothership.
    • Ruby, as it turns out, didn't even need their help to get rescued. Thanks to her Semblance, she was able to break free and escape the lab, where she eventually found the rest of her friends.
  • When RWBY and JNPR find out exactly what Brainiac had truly done to Remnant's cities, shrinking and bottling them rather than outright destruction, they immediately go off to face him on their own. That takes guts and an unholy amount of heroic willpower to try and do so after two days of nonstop fighting.
    • Brainiac's subsequent utter trouncing of RWBY and JNPR also quantifies. Nothing the Huntsmen and Huntresses-in-Training do manages to stick, and he easily counters every advantage they might have otherwise had.

Chapter Two - The Justice League
  • The first fight between the Grimm and the Justice League/United States Military.
    • Batman, despite having no powers, manages to not only kill several Grimm thanks to clever use of explosives and gadgets, but also manages to save the life of a downed gunship pilot about to be swarmed by Grimm. He then hops into the Batwing to engage in an Off-Screen dogfight against two Giant Nevermores, a fight he ends up winning.
    • Superman shows just why he is called "The Man of Steel". The attacks of the Grimm do nothing against him. Claws and fangs break against his skin, he freezes multiple with his freeze breath or burns them with his heat vision, and manages to wrestle a Goliath to the ground. He also uses the turret of an M1 Abrams tank as a baseball bat against that same Goliath.
    • The Flash speeding through the horde of Grimm as only The Fastest Man Alive can do. They only manage to get a hit on him thanks to him being momentarily distracted.
    • The military/Metropolis Police Department were no slouches either. They didn't sit back and let the superheroes do everything. They fought side-by-side the entire battle, pulling their own weight the entire time.
  • Black Canary and Green Arrow managing to hold off the panicking RWBY and JNPR long enough for the other League members to arrive without hurting them nor getting hurt as well. Granted, both RWBY and JNPR were heavy on painkillers and disoriented from their ordeal, so they weren't at full strength, but it's impressive nonetheless.

Chapter Three - Last Sons and Daughters
  • The Fortress of Solitude is a sight to behold, and RWBY and JNPR are in awe of the entire structure.
  • Krypto the Superdog managing to catch Blake completely off-guard with the reveal of his powers. The poor girl can only pet the space dog to try and please him, while everyone else finds the entire thing to be hysterical.

Chapter Five - A Nightmare in Gotham City
  • The sheer scale of Scarecrow's attack on Gotham City is a sight to behold. In an instant, he plunges Gotham into a city-wide panic attack that could have spelled disaster.
  • The Bat Family managing to stop Scarecrow's plan before it could get even worse. They even manage to take down Killer Croc by collapsing a sewer ceiling on him.
  • Scarecrow proves himself to be no slouch in a fight, either, after managing to hold off even Batman for a time. He even manages to pull a fast one on everyone by almost managing a successful escape from prison.
    • He even managed to not only get his hands on the same mustard gas formula created by Doctor Poison back in the first World War, a formula that had been lost for decades, he even managed to modify his trademark fear gas to be compatible with it.
  • Ren using his Semblance to completely counteract the fear gas, allowing him to take Scarecrow down before could getaway.
    • Even when Ren's Semblance proves to not be enough, he has enough willpower to finish Scarecrow off despite the intense hallucinations making Scarecrow look like the Nuckelavee that destroyed Kuroyuri. There's a reason why it's after Gotham City that Batman decides RWBY JNPR are ready for the field.

    Chapter Seven - Olympians
  • Pyrrha's fight against Artemis of Bana-Mighdall. Sure, she loses to the more experienced Amazon warrior, but she manages to hold her own well enough to earn the Amazons' respect.
  • Pyrrha later faces off against one of the deadliest monsters in all of Greek Mythology, the Gorgon named Stheno who's also the elder sister of Medusa and doesn't show a once of fear.
    • Wonder Woman's subsequent trouncing of Stheno is a welcome relief to Pyrrha, who herself was having some difficulty dealing with her opponent's immortality.

Chapters Nine and Ten - Sudden Shameless Multi-Cross Parts One and Two
  • Control Freak manages to take over an entire movie studio lot and pits RWBY, JNPR, and the Titans against some of cinema's greatest movie villains. It's a sight to behold.
    • Starfire engages in a dogfight against multiple TIE Fighters.
    • Cyborg, Ruby, and Yang square off against both the T-1000 and the Predator, with Cyborg managing to defeat the Terminator while Ruby and Yang show off their sisterly bond in defeating the Predator.
    • Blake, Raven, and Weiss recreating two of the most famous set pieces in Raiders of the Lost Arc; the temple and the Cairo brawl.
    • Beast Boy, Nora, and Ren takedown Rexy from Jurassic Park, and Ren throws a Velociraptor into another Velociraptor.
    • Miss Martian, Jaune, and Pyrrha manage to throw a Xenomorph into space.
    • Yang and Starfire topple King Kong while Miss Martian destroys the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man.
    • Finally, the climactic brawl against Darth Vader himself, which serves as one big Shout-Out to his epic hallway scene at the end of Rogue One. He completely trounces the heroes with his lightsaber skills and Force powers until Jaune jumps into the line of fire to keep his attention while the others bombard the Sith Lord from all sides, finishing him off.

  • A smaller but no less important moment is Ruby's advice to Control Freak, explaining a way for him to use his incredible technology for non-criminal means, while still letting him play the role of the villain that he so enjoys. He's honestly considering her advice as he's being taken away. It shows how readily the young girl has embraced the other side of heroics, helping reform criminals as opposed to simply fighting them. It harkens back to her words to Blake that first night at Beacon. Even after everything, she's still trying to make things better.

Chapter Eleven - Fresh New Digs
  • Brother Blood completely manipulating Mumbo into doing what he wants. The man is a masterful manipulator that makes Cinder's attempts look like amateur hour.
  • The new super suits Cyborg designs for RWBY and JNPR.

Chapter Twelve - Hocus Pocus and Alakazam
  • Weiss coming up with a plan that successfully defeats Mumbo - who had managed to capture her friends outside of Raven and Nightwing (who himself had only just gotten back to Jump City) - by playing into his need to be the center of attention by stealing the spotlight away from him. How? By singing the RWBY songs.

Chapter Seventeen - Trigon Part 2
  • Ruby's silver eyes get activated in Raven's mindscape in their fight against Trigon and before they activate, parts of the Life Equation can be seen. Ruby then proceeds to destroy all the Grimm with her Silver Eyes and manages to kick Trigon out of Raven's mind.
  • The remaining Titans, namely Nightwing, Starfire, Wonder Girl, Jaune Arc, Weiss Schnee, and a recovered Raven then proceed to inflict a No-Holds-Barred Beatdown on Brother Blood with righteous fury. Even having his powers increased through a last-minute Trigon possession wasn't enough for the heroes to put him down.
  • How Raven finally defeats her father. Having reached equilibrium with her emotions, her cloak turns white and she effortlessly bats him around as though he were but a fly. Then, just before she seals him within her mind, she declares:
Raven: I’ve done a lot of thinking, father. Why you do what you do, why you always come for me. You simply can’t help it. It’s in your nature, borne of the collective evil of a billion worlds. And just as it is in your nature to conquer, it is in mine to oppose you! For as much as you are my father, I am also the daughter of Arella, a human of Azarath. A realm you destroyed in an effort to get to me. For so long I thought that was because I, like you, was evil and that you were simply attracted to it. But now I know the truth. You fear me, father. Fear that I can do what none of your sons can. For I can beat you. Like you father, I, too, have learned my lesson! I see now that simply trying to keep you out is of no use, for you will simply plot and scheme against me and my friends from the shadows! Away from my sight! No more! Even if I cannot destroy you now, I can ensure that you will never hurt anyone else so long as I live! AZARATH! METRION! ZINTHOS!

Chapter Eighteen - Windows to the Soul
  • It's confirmed: Ruby's silver eyes are somehow connected to the Life Equation.
  • Even after Vale is now bottled up, Ozpin still decides to keep showing defiance in one form or another against their captor. He also convinces Brainiac to reveal that Teams RWBY and JNPR survived their encounter with him.

Chapter Twenty-One - You Think That You'll Break Me
  • Yang faces off against almost the entirety of the Penguin's gang, several dozen at the very least, and ends up coming out on top. All without her weapons
  • At the very end of that ordeal, Yang has to face off against Bane himself, one of Batman's most dangerous adversaries. A man who can match the Dark Knight wit for wit and brawn for brawn, and that doesn't even include the effects of Venom. Bane had been studying Yang previously, determining how she fought so that he could best defeat her, giving her the toughest fight she'd had up to that point. Yet, despite it all, she managed to outsmart Bane by cleverly hiding her Semblance from him, allowing her to defeat him.
    • Made even more awesome for the simple fact that Bane disarmed Yang of Ember Celica before the fight started. Aside from hijacking a shotgun during the battle, Yang was fighting with nothing but her bare fists.

Chapter Twenty-Five - Gotham by Daylight
  • Ruby and Weiss go to Wayne Enterprises in order to pick up some fancy HAZMAT suits. They leave both with the suits and internships at said company.
    • Ruby got her internship after hanging around the head engineer at WayneTech for nearly two hours. The guy literally begged Lucius Fox to hire her on the spot
    • Weiss got hired as an intern directly under Lucius Fox after she successfully negotiates salary and benefits for Ruby. He was so impressed by her business savvy that he hired her as well, after she renegotiated for herself.
  • Lois Lane proves why she's the greatest reporter on the planet when she's able to almost effortlessly deduct who RWBY and JNPR are and where they currently live all through public information. She then proceeds to out-glare the Batman. She endears herself to the young Remnantians pretty quickly after that.
    • She also managed to find evidence on an illegal chemical-dumping operation and pass it onto Bruce.
  • Both Crescent Rose Mk. 2 and Crocea Mors Mk. 2 are pretty awesome in their own right. Crescent Rose is now a BFG, capable of adjusting its barrel to fire rounds from 7.62 all the way up to 20mm. Crocea Mors becomes an Elemental Weapon, capable of using fire, ice, or electricity to boost its effectiveness.

    Chapter Twenty-Six - No Haven
  • When their Javelin is shot down, Team RWBY introduces Black Canary and Green Arrow to the idea of landing strategies, and they do pretty well for their first time doing so.
  • Blake using her shadow abilities to utterly trounce the members of the League of Shadows using skill and stealth, to the point almost none of them see her coming.

Chapter Twenty-Seven - The Enemy of My Enemy
  • The Suicide Squad keeps up just fine with Team RWBY, Black Canary and Green Arrow fighting the League of Shadows.
    • Ruby also gets one for earning Deadshot's respect as a sniper (and impressing him with Crescent Rose.)
  • Amanda Waller lays down the law by showing she knows exactly who the girls are, despite Bruce's efforts to give them secret identities. She even turns Yang calling her a bitch into a Badass Boast:
Waller: I'm not a bitch, Miss Xiao Long. I'm The Bitch.
  • Lady Shiva fighting evenly with Yang.

    Chapter Twenty-Nine - Toxic Pollination
  • Even after getting beaten down along with his officers, Commissioner Gordon still manages to tag Jaune with a tracker without Ivy or her lackeys noticing.
  • Pyrrha and Nora, despite their reluctance, still fight a brainwashed Jaune and Ren, who are also getting help from Ivy, to equal levels.
  • Batman resists Ivy's pheromones long enough to inject himself with the antidote. All through sheer willpower.
    • He also subdues Jaune and Ren, when he no longer sees any other option that won't result in one of Team JNPR being seriously injured, with special nanites that basically attack their bodies everywhere at once, nullifying their Aura. Did it violate their trust? Yes. Is it effective? Very.

Chapter Thirty-Two - Home Is Where the Heart Is
  • While it ended on a sour note, the fact remains that the Remnentians did a good job contributing to defending Gotham. Capturing 10 supervillains, breaking up 2 gangs and helping find the Man Behind the Man to Scarecrow. As they mused on leaving, they did enough to bring some brightness back to the streets.
  • Blake managing to realize Superman's identity.

    Chapter Thirty-Three - Hellblazer
  • Teams RWBY and JNPR, minus Ruby, all do very well in their first encounter of mixed magical enemies (which includes a vampire). All without their usual weaponry to boot.

Chapter Thirty-Five - Across The Fifth Dimension
  • Nora taunting Livewire into attacking her with her Shock and Awe powers, then clobbering the villainess unconscious.
  • Ruby cannot pronounce Mr. Mxyzptlk's name, so after the first two times, she deliberately gets it wrong in order to trick him into saying "Kltpzyxm" to correct her when she says "Kltpzyxm" later, and it works. Her smug grin when he realizes how she conned him just makes it better.

Chapters Thirty-Six and Thirty-Seven - Fables Among Us Parts One And Two
  • Weiss has to eat a poison apple to fulfill her role in the story she's trapped in and escape, but makes her displeasure known by Flipping the Bird at the Evil Queen before falling unconscious.
  • Blake and Yang taking down "Adam"/Gaston.
  • Ruby tricks the Queen of Fables into entering a copy of the U.S. Tax Code so Doctor Fate could seal her again.

    Chapter Thirty-Nine - Duty-Bound
  • Penny turns out to be one of Remnant's chief experts in nuclear fission, on par with her father, and the only way Ironwood's plan to have Ozpin Suicide Attack Brainiac with a nuclear suitcase could have worked.

Chapter Forty - What's the Magic Word?
  • When Nora gets a temporary Shazam boost via her Semblance, she knocks an empowered Billy several hundred feet away with Magnhild.

Chapter Forty One - First Impressions
  • Villainous example, but Mr. Mind quickly proves with his Psychic Powers that he's no joke despite his size.
  • Billy saving himself, Freddy, Yang and Jaune by teleporting them to the Rock.

    Chapter Forty-Two - Small Packages

    Chapter Forty-Three - Discharge
  • Luke is able to keep his wits about him despite the Fear Gas driving everyone into a frenzy.
  • Billy finally declaring himself Captain Marvel as he fights Black Adam.

Chapter Forty-Four - Strength in Numbers
  • The heroes managing to break Mr. Mind's communication lock, allowing them to tell Black Adam of the current crisis in Kahndaq, foiling Mr. Mind's plans when he leaves to deal with that rather than fight Billy. This also leads to him and Sivanna being recaptured.

    Chapter Forty-Five - After Action
  • RWBYJNPR and the Marvel family may have been heavily outmatched by Black Adam, and only "won" by getting him to leave on his own, but besides the good showing that they did (Superman even noting that they did fairly well for fighting someone on his power level) they still prevented anyone from dying as a result of the fight, in part because of Darla evacuating people, and of the dozen or so people injured, only one of them actually required hospitalization.

Chapter Forty-Six - We Fall Apart
  • Vacuo, Kuo Kuana, and Argus are revealed to actually be handling themselves fairly well after being bottled. The rest of the Remnantian cities, unfortunately, are less well-off.

Chapter Forty-Seven - Hand in Hand
  • After several chapters of waiting, The Green Lanterns have finally arrived to begin their assault on Brainiac. At first it starts off as a few dozen of them showing up, at which Brainiac fully anticipated and is prepared to deal with them; however, what starts off as a few dozen suddenly becomes hundreds of Green Lanterns heading straight for him. Brainiac, having not anticipated so many, actually shows shock at this.

Chapters Forty-Eight to Fifty - The Green Light of Will
  • The Green Lanterns are going all out against Brainiac's ship. Hal Jordan, Guy Gardner, Kyle Raynor, Arisia Rabb, Kilowog, Katma Tui, and plenty more showing their Corps' power.
  • Once he gets out of his cell by consciously channeling his Semblance into the complex machinery, Qrow proceeds to scrap a dozen Brainiac drones with just his fists. Then after he's found and put together Harbinger, that's when things get really exciting.
    • A little later, Qrow has successfully fought his way through the ship to where Penny and Fria are being kept.
    • Qrow even shows he's managed to somewhat fine-tune his Semblance so that he can short-circuit every recording device in the room with a targeted burst, allowing him to safely bring Penny up to speed.
  • Fria willingly unhooks herself from her life support before unleashing the power of the Winter Maiden upon Brainiac's forces. She then dies peacefully while assuring a distraught Penny...
    • And passing on to her the Winter Maiden's magic.
  • Immediately after becoming the Winter Maiden, Penny enters into a full Tranquil Fury and unleashes her newfound powers upon Brainiac's drones, reducing all of them to scrap in a hurricane of power.
  • Kyle Raynor shows off his artistic creativity when taking out one of Brainiac's support ship by first creating a brick wall to shield his comrades, then he creates turrets on the wall to counter-attack the ship. He then creates a large serpentine dragon to tear open a hole in the ship to expose the power core. He then attacks the power core by creating a Humongous Mecha to finally destroy the ship.
  • After getting ambushed and whisked away by Raven, Qrow gets confronted by his old bandit clan. When Vernal calls him a traitor, Qrow simply throws it back in her face and gives a scathing take-down of his former "family".
Qrow: "Traitor?! Oh, that's a good one!...You're pretty young, huh? I'm guessing you were either born into this, or you were taken long enough ago to not really remember any life before this?...I used to be the same...Raised to be a weapon along with my sister, taught to view everyone else as the enemy, never knowing what life was actually like anywhere else. Until Beacon...Murderers and thieves, that's all that this so-called family is. If anyone's a traitor it's you, all of you! Traitors to humanity, to the whole damn world! As if killing and feeding innocent people to the Grimm wasn't enough, now you're kissing the ass of the monster that destroyed Remnant! All for what? For another day of your empty, stolen lives?...Leaving the tribe was the best decision I ever made."
  • When Qrow decides to fight his way out, he's initially out-manned and outgunned by his old gang as they've been given weapons augmented with Brainiac's technology. However, once he unleashes his semblance, he quickly turns the tide in his favor and starts taking down his former clan members one-by-one until he, Raven, and Vernal are the only ones left standing.
  • Kilowogg and a few other Lanterns manage to put up a decent fight against Brainiac, while trying to buy Dkrtzy RRR time to free the captive cities.
  • While Penny is frantically trying to find Qrow, she finds her self being assailed by a near endless horde of Brainiac's drones. How does she escape? By using her power to blast a hole in the outer hull and launching herself into space.
  • Even while it's two-against-one, Qrow manages to knock Vernal out, and when Raven finally beats him down with her Maiden powers, he still refuses to accept any of her bullshit.
Raven: Why? Why? Why did you make me do this? You knew from the beginning that fighting us, fighting me, was pointless. Yet you did it anyway, and now look what’s happened.
Qrow: Well…I guess I didn’t have anything to lose.
Raven: You could’ve lost your life! Brothers dammit, Qrow! You always do this! Picking up a hopeless cause, throwing your life away, and for what? So you could die doing Ozpin’s bidding? It doesn’t matter if it’s against Salem or against Brainiac, it’s all the same! We can’t beat them, yet you choose to fight anyway! You abandoned everything that we came from, for a man who’s leading you to your death as you fight his war! A war he can’t win! None of us can! You should’ve come with me. You should’ve accepted my offer. You…you made me do this to you…
Qrow: …I didn’t make you do a damn thing, and I sure as hell didn’t abandon you. You abandoned us, and frankly I don’t care if you think the fight I’m waging is pointless. At least I’m fighting for something bigger than myself. When’s the last time you could say the same?
    • Then as Raven continues to rant about how Brainiac can't be stopped, someone new joins the party.
Green Lantern: (backhands Raven away with a giant green hand) Okay, I think I've heard everything I need to hear.
Raven: Who the hell are you?!
Green Lantern: Hal Jordan, Green Lantern Corp, and you are under arrest.
  • Hal first traps Raven under a giant anvil, and when she breaks out from under it, he matches her magic step-for-step with his ring and imagination, even having a giant swordfight with her.
  • The fact that Hal is able to keep up with Raven, despite her Maiden powers, completely shatters her Social Darwinist worldview and she's forced to flee with her tail between her legs.
  • Right before she's forced to kill Kyle, Penny finally manages to overpower Brainiac's virus and uses her Maiden powers to literally disarm herself and take her out of the fight. It nearly destroys her, but thanks to Kyle's quick acting, she's able to survive, albeit in a powered-down mode.
  • While the Green Lanterns are evacuating the refugees from the ship, Willow manages to aid them by summoning a White Boarbatusk to take out some attacking drones. Whitley even jumps in to take out a few of his own using only his recently awakened Aura and a metal staff he was given.
  • When Penny manages to break free of Brainiac's control, the backlash actually stuns him momentarily. It's a brief but significant moment that allows Kilowog and his team to successfully manage to subdue Brainiac and nearly liberate one of the cities. Were it not for Brainiac's fail-safe, they would have succeeded.
  • Mogo, the sentient planet and most powerful of the Lanterns, finally arrives to capture Brainiac's mother-ship. The very appearance of Mogo causes Brainiac to realize that he can't win and is forced to flee.
  • As Ozpin put it, while the Lanterns weren't able to save the cities, they did prove one inarguable fact: That for as powerful as Brainiac is, he is not invincible, and all of Remnant saw that their oppressor can be bested.
    • Ozpin gets a small moment afterwards. When Brainiac summons him to finish their game, Ozpin actually manages to defeat Brainiac. He wastes no time rubbing it in Brainiac's face.

    Chapter Fifty-Two - Being Human
  • Qrow has a sparring match with Diana. He ultimately loses, but she praises him for having been her most challenging opponent in a good while.
  • Cyborg manages to free Penny from Brainiac's code by entering her mind and helping her fight off the virus together.
Cyborg: "This is going to be a fight for our lives. Are you up for this?"
    Penny: "I'm combat ready!"
  • Even long before he became Cyborg, Victor was already a hero by saving a family that was being attacked by Parademons during the Darkseid War by hot-wiring a pick-up truck and ramming it into said parademons. Even Kalibak was impressed by his bravery.
  • When Tyrian tries to kill Luthor for his impudence in the face of his mistress, Mercy immediately gets in between them and completely man-handles the scorpion Faunus, a feat that should be difficult for any ordinary human against a Remnantian. It's capped off when Luthor reveals that Mercy is, in fact, an Amazon.
  • Luthor and Salem's mind-games with one another, trying to gain the advantage. In the end, Luthor seemingly comes out on top because he has the only means to help Salem and her inner circle escape from their entrapment within the empty void of space. However, Salem is easily willing to accept working alongside him to reach Earth, and upon arrival begins scheming to backstab Luthor and destroy the planet to defeat Brainiac.

Chapter Fifty-Three - Brave New World
  • During a training session with Weiss and Willow, Whitley manages to surpass even his sister with mastering his semblance by actually managing to successfully summon a ghostly version of Brainiac's drones. Unfortunately, the sight of one of the things responsible for his torture triggers his PTSD, but it is still an impressive step forward.
  • Salem doesn't get a chance to relax for very long when she gets a visit from Ares. She tries to blast him with her magic, only for it to do absolutely nothing. Afterwards, he tells her that while he admires her work, she is no longer the most powerful being like she was on Remnant. As if to prove his point, the Spectre, himself, arrives and manages to actually make her feel pain by ripping her heart out with his bare hands and crushing it in front of her. Even though Spectre doesn't kill her, he promises that this is only a small taste of what awaits her, and she is visibly rattled by the encounter. For the first time in millennia, she actually felt fear of death.
    • And then, proving that she's not one to sit on her laurels, promptly begins planning to adapt to this and emerge on top through intelligence rather than power.
    • In addition, Ares states that he doubts either of them can do anything to hurt each other, meaning that had he tried to attack her, it would've gotten the same reaction. Yes, you read that right. Salem is strong enough to shrug off attacks from the god of war.
  • Velvet manages to get one by using her Photographic Memory to match and chase down one of Adam's Red Fang assassins and successfully captures him.
  • We finally find out the fates of Oscar Pine and Maria Calavera. For the last couple of months, Oscar has been patrolling the Middle-City of Mistral as Remnant's very own costumed vigilante. He even manages to stop a gunfight between the Spiders and the White Fang by taking out members from both sides.
  • Maria gets one of her own by saving Oscar when he's getting beat up by the remaining Spider. She completely mops the floor with the thug and sends him packing.

Chapter Fifty-Four - A Normal Day In Metropolis
  • A quiet yet powerful moment for Willow who briefly struggles with cravings when she sees a liquor store — and refuses to enter.
  • Jaune fending off a time-displaced dinosaur, all while holding back his Aura to avoid making it impossible to deny that he's a superhero. David also helps by smashing his guitar into its head.

Chapter Fifty-Five and Fifty-Six - Wild, Wild West
  • The Campbell platypus mascot terrifying a Utahraptor into total submission after one altercation.
  • Jonah defeating Chronos by appealing to his ego, challenging him to a duel, and then decking him when his guard is down.
  • A T-Rex that was brought to the present and given sapience and speech by a Star Labs accident actually ran for the position of mayor of Metropolis and won. By all accounts he's been a pretty good one too, since he's impossible to bribe, even beating out Lex Luthor for reelection, something that made Lois really happy to write about.

Chapter Fifty-Seven - Friends You Haven't Met Yet
  • Halo's powers are steadily improving with training, allowing her to harness new colors and thereby new powers.
  • In a few tests with Back Canary and Mr. Terrific, Jaune discovers his Semblance can bolster Canary's physical strength, Canary cry and healing, opening more possibilities for him to help.
  • Artificial Dust finally becomes a thing of reality.
  • And at the end of the chapter, Team JNPR and Penny meet an unexpected group: Mystery Inc!

    Elseworlds
While these are mostly fluffy comedy chapters, there are some awesome moments:
  • Grimm Victory:
    • To put things bluntly, Salem wins. She spends a year cataloguing the strengths and weaknesses of each hero, while having Grimm tunnel beneath countless cities. She sends the exact Grimm to defeat the heroes as necessary, and then, when ready, strikes.
      • To give some examples, she has Apathy drain the Green Lanterns' will, Chills possess the Flash, and Manticores set the Martian Manhunter on fire.
    • Salem also manages to turn Superboy over to her side and has him kill Lex Luthor.
    • She managed to recruit Ares somehow, and her Grimm and his armies manage to defeat what remains of the Justice League. Then, for her coup de grace...
    • Salem kills Superman. She fills her body with Kryptonite in order to weaken him whenever he punches her, then blasts him with magic until he keels over. Everyone runs for it after that, with the exception of Ruby who unleashes her Silver Eyes, but Salem survives this thanks to Ares' magic. It cannot be understated what an acheivement this is. Lex Luthor has spent decades scheming to kill Superman and always failed. Salem succeeded in a year. This puts her on the same tier of people like Doomsday, who in the comics has defeated Darkseid.
    • But this is still just her opening act. She begins creating a massive army of human-Grimm hybrids with metagenes. The Hound was one such creature, and it had no metagene and was still one of the most dangerous opponents the heroes have ever faced. With an entire army, Salem poses a good chance at her primary goal: killing Brainiac.
