Awesome / Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood

• The last fifteen minutes of the film is spent with Tina kicking Jason's undead ass. Spectacularly.
• Tina's mother calling out Dr. Crews for lying to both of them, possibly making Tina's mental health worse, and for overall being a coward when Tina goes missing.
  Amanda: You aren't just a bad doctor, you're a fucking coward!
• Between Crews's Hate Sink status and the sheer sight of Jason wielding a power tool, the Tree Trimmer Kill roused some of the biggest cheers in the film series despite the actual gore being minimal.
• The fact that this is Kane Hodder's debut as Jason, and the start of a 13-year run as arguably the definitive Jason Voorhees.
• Tina's last blow against Jason: she manages to resurrect her father (her attempt to do as such earlier being the reason Jason got brought back), who promptly leaps out of the water, wraps a chain around Jason's neck, and drags him back under the lake.
  • A bit of Fridge Brilliance: when Jason got revived, he was noticeably looking around as if confused about what was going on. When Tina brings her dad back, he instantly goes into action to protect his daughter and doesn't hesitate on his Heroic Sacrifice for a fraction of a second.
