Chapter 1 (Prologue) to Chapter 30 (Tower of Terror)

• Chapter 1:
  • Ash being able to access the legendary chat technically counts as this.
  • The fact that Mew and the Kanto Bird Trio help give Ash tips before the start of his journey counts as both awesome and heartwarming.
  • The Kanto Bird Trio, known for being at odds with one another most of the time, work together to stand up for Ash and face Arceus himself counts as both awesome and heartwarming.
  • Ash's boasting that he and his future starter, Squirtle, will go and try to Articuno could count as this.
• Chapter 3:
  • Ash being revealed to wield Aura. The Legendaries mentioned it takes weeks of training and Ash just does it by accident.
  • Zekrom indirectly saves Ash and Pikachu from the spearow flock by boosting Pikachu.
  • Mew and the Kanto Bird Trio reveal that they help teach Ash basic stuff such as type matchups prior to the start of his journey.

Chapter 31 (Night Fright) to Chapter 58 (The Problem with Paras)

• Chapter 31:
  • Darkrai defends Ash from the swarm of Ghost-types by saying that Ash is protected and mentioning that they'll have to deal with Lady Yveltal herself if the boy comes to harm.
• Chapter 37:
  • Butterfree, a Bug/Flying type, use of Solar Beam helps Ash win the Rainbow Badge by exploding the windows and set the place on fire.
• Chapter 48:
  • Pikachu learning Iron Tail earlier than expected.

The Rainbow Hero Arc Chapter 59 (Our Five Dreams) to Chapter 64 (Friends to the End)

• Chapter 60:
  • The Charizard vs. Incineroar fight in general
• Chapter 61:
  • Mew flying straight into a cliff on purpose to resist Marshadow's corruption.
  • Charizard's efforts to resist Marshadow's corruption (without the aid of a cliff).
• Chapter 62:
  • Ash escaping the nightmare construct made by Darkrai while Arceus, Xerneas, Dialga and Palkia are trying to revive Ash.
  NU: HE'S TRYING TO CLIMB OUT.
  NU: BY ***HIMSELF***.
  • Pikachu's grief-fueled electrical explosion actually shocks Arceus, Xerneas, Dialga and Palkia. Arceus even formed his Earth Plate into a Ground-based shield to protect all of them but Pikachu's discharge still completely ignores it!
• Chapter 63:
  • The Ho-Oh Battle in general.
• Chapter 64:
  • Mew getting back her [MOD] privileges from Arceus for saving Ash can count as awesome and heartwarming.

Chapter 66 (Attack of the Prehistoric Pokémon) to Chapter 98 - Minisode (Bored Games)

• Chapter 85:
  • Butterfree's use of Facade to win Ash the Volcano Badge.
    • To explain a bit more: Butterfree, a Bug type, beat Magmar, a Fire type (meaning that Butterfree has an elemental weakness to work against) by first, baiting the Magmar into lighting him on fire then, grinning like a mad ‘mon, charged straight at Magmar TWICE to deliver two Facades (a move that gets more powerful if the user has a status condition, in this case a burn, bumping it up from 70 base power to 140). Blaine said afterwards that Magmar was traumatized from the experience and refuses to fight Bug types again.

The Mewtwo Strikes Back Arc Chapter 99 - Movie 1, Act 1 (Mewtwo Strikes Back) to Chapter 105 - Movie 1, Act 7 (Mewtwo Strikes Back)

• Chapter 100:
  • Junior battling Marshadow by running circles around him.
  MU: Okay, Koko?
  MU: If he loses right now, you are not allowed to make fun of him.
  US: make fun of him
  US: lele this is awesome

Chapter 107 - Minisode (A Chat About A Chat) to Chapter 137 - Episode 102, Part 2 (The Indigo Outcome)

• Chapter 125:
  • In the first round of the Indigo League, Litwick evolves into Lampent and sweeps the entire match.
• Chapter 137:
  • We see on screen the moment that Ash becomes the Chosen of Moltres, Articuno, Zapdos, and Lugia at once. This occurs during his final battle of the Indigo League when he is directing Pidgeotto's timing on a strategy and also synchronizes with her. He says "Now" at the exact moment all the Legendaries; Moltres, Articuno, Zapdos, and Lugia, launch their attacks.
    • Though for both Ash and the Legendries, these moments are mutual in-universe Offscreen Moments of Awesome to both parties involved.

Adrift With Legendaries Chapter 1 (Prologue) to Chapter 32 (Pikasode 3: Pikachu's Rescue Adventure)

• Chapter 8:
  • Pikachu displays moxie to calm Lapras by pointing out that the Legendary Pokémon stalking Ash from the deeper water is probably a water type, and thus Pikachu is confident he can take it.
• Chapter 9:
  • Mixed with funny, Bulbasaur helps Ash pass the Water Gun Accuracy Challenge by using Wartortle as a held weapon and forcing him to aim.
  • Lapras wins the race, despite his youth, Ash's inexperience, and tsunamiBeluga setting off a tidal wave while fighting some Sharpedo. Ash pulls a tactic from the early months talking to the birds by making an ice path to slide on.
• Chapter 10:
  • Lampent saves the day by choosing to evolve to Chandelure and taking out Butch and Cassidy's hypnosis machine, by reversing the effect onto it's source.
  • It Begins: Togepi sees one of Butch and Cassidy's Pokemon using Metronome, learns it, and uses the move herself. Her first move: Psystrike.
• Chapter 14
  • Misty manages to help an island evacuation as all the fossils come to life at the same time, saving unknown numbers of others in the process. Ash was not there.
• Chapter 18
  • Rayquaza defeats Team Rocket. The fact they lost is normal, but his method is awesome. He flicks a single scale from high altitude with enough force and accuracy to pop the balloon and blast them away.
  • Ash brings out Marshadow for the Gym since it is a test of skills, not battle. Marshadow contributes to all three challenges and does well.
• Chapter 32: Pikasode 3: Pikachu's Rescue Adventure
  • Pikachu and Elekid fight a storm, lightning bolt for lightning bolt.
  • Junior is unharmed and happy after the adventure, arguing to her mother that it was not a big deal and that they worked well as a Rescue Team. The dialogue showcases that Junior is growing up into a strong young Kangaskhan who has the strength to handle the chaos surrounding Ash.
