Alternative Character Interpretation in Disventure Camp.

Season 1

  • Was Alec always Fiore's Morality Pet? While Fiore still gives him some snarky comments from time to time, he is the only person whom Fiore tried to get to know better and she does apologize for a joke she made about Alec's wife (something she would not do towards other characters). Or did this start as a way for Fiore to manipulate Alec, like she did with the rest of the Purple Team? It's later suggested however that he is a genuine Morality Pet as she seems horrified when he gets shot in Episode 9 despite knowing it was only during a stimulation. Moreover, in Episode 11, she states she doesn't want to leave him and is reluctant to do so when he rescues her from a giant scorpion then tells her to escape by herself.
  • In the finale, was everybody really cheering for Miriam's victory or were they rejoicing about Fiore's defeat?

Season 2

  • As can be seen starting with Episode 7, Lake has a tendency to go too far once she feels the freedom to do anything. Does this mean her parents purposefully restricted her life so much in order to make sure she doesn't go overboard and doesn't potentially become a criminal, making them well-intentioned extremists? Or are her parents really just Abusive Parents we first thought they were and Lake simply went too far the moment she tasted some freedom for the first time?
  • Was Riya's attraction to Connor ever genuine? Or, considering her later Faceā€“Heel Turn, was she manipulating him from the beginning? Sure, she did look concerned when Connor quit, but it could also been because she had just gotten Connor as an ally and without him, there was the possibility of her being the next boot.
  • Were Riya's tears after losing in the finale genuine or was it a case of someone still trying to gain sympathy from others in spite of acting as a Jerkass towards them earlier and feeling sorry for getting caught rather than actually feeling sorry for their actions?

All-Stars

  • Was Fiore always in a Christian school and its strictness was what contributed to her becoming an Enfant Terrible? Or was she just sent there as a punishment for her behavior on Season 1?
  • Alec's interactions with Jake in Episode 2 in general. Did Alec exploit Jake's trust issues by making him paranoid Tom might have replaced him with Aiden solely so that Yellow Team could win? Or did he do that because he still cared about Fiore and, after learning she's The Friend Nobody Likes on Magenta Team, he wanted to cause tension between other members on her team that would spare her from elimination? While doing so after learning of her situation on her team and the following episode support the latter option more, perhaps it was a mix of both reasons? Furthermore, was he genuinely feeling sorry for Jake in spite of the strategy to the point of letting him complete the challenge because he knows what having a troubled love life feels like from his divorce?
  • While Riya likely agreed to volunteer Yul to go for a clue because of her dislike for him, was Alec suggesting him motivated by wanting to get back at him for insulting Grett (as he already disapproved of him mocking her appearance in a confessional), knowing that he'd be selected by everyone for being Hated by All, realizing he is the more athletic choice he was ironically talking about, or a combination of the three?
