I'm not sure what Team Rocket was after with Silph, but I managed to clear them out of there pretty easily. After I beat their leader, Hina, she yelled at me and said that I was choosing to live in this rotten world.

I don't know what this world is, but I'm not choosing to live here. I'm finding my way back home in the only way that makes sense to me. I'm sure if I keep following this path I'll find my way back to the real world.

But this whole experience has left me wondering... do they know something that I don't? Why do they claim this world is so rotten?

There's another gym master in this city. Two more left overall if I'm not mistaken. Then I can face the Grand Masters.

If anyone knows what's going on in this world, it would have to be them.

Then again, that Link guy... he seemed like he knew what was going on. Does he have a part to play in all of this?

Two installments in one day!?

Two gym battles and the final rival battle ahead. We're almost through this!

First off, head into the Lunaris City gym. Talk to Aya here just out of curiosity and, hey! There's that word AGAIN! What next? Is the final gym master going to swear and call me "the shit"? Heck, I'm half expecting Aya to start swearing before this is over.

Anyway, because the path to her hasn't changed any I manage to get to Reisen without battling any of the trainers here. Horray!

Reisen herself proves to be a bit of a pain.

This may be the first battle in the while that's actually somewhat difficult.

First there's Hourai. I beat her easily. Eventually. But DAMN if that Hypnosis-spam isn't annoying...

An LShikieiki and LwKeine-H appear briefly in this battle.

That DLwReisen though... faster than DyZenGar and if the way she withstood Neko-Chen's Earthquake is anything to go by, probably would have survived a Shadow Ball anyway. Sacrificed Green to use Voodoo, but then realized how useful Green would be in this battle and sacrificed DarkKnight to use a Phoenix Down on her. DLwReisen eventually falls to the curse.

Then A-Yukari comes out. I try whittling her down with Green's Voodoo but she isn't having any of it. So rather than stalling her out, I decided to boost Green up. With maxed out speed and special attack, Green then proceeds to sweep through A-Yukari. Sariel would have went down to Thief easily but there was no point switching after that. So Green smashes through Sariel as well. Victory!

Reisen thanked me for saving Lunaris City, but I have to wonder why she couldn't do anything herself. She seemed pretty strong to me. Didn't find out anything of use, though.

Where do I go next, though?

Come to think of it... wasn't there a gym back in the Human Village?

After beating Reisen, it's time to grab an HM slave and fly back to the Human Village. The gym there is where we'll find the final gym master.

Inside the gym I decide to talk to Aya again. She talks as if this journey was hard. Sure, it was a bit rough at the beginning, and Reisen was surprisingly difficult, but really not much in this hack has challenged me. It's just made me grind. A lot.

Beat up a few trainers here, though no one worth noting. Well, except maybe one battle against a guy who switched in an FPatchouli against Ghost. FPatchouli has Trace, which copies the opposing pokemon's ability. And DyZenGar was already down.

But after beating those trainers I finally reached the last gym master. Now who guessed Suika?

Turns out Suika's been travelling around not-Gensokyo training. But she's back now and sporting for a fight. So let's give her one.

Suika leads with S-Tenshi who is, one, nude, and two, not that tough. Her offensive stats leave a lot to be desired, particularly compared to the other endgame puppets I've been facing lately. Her defensive stats are all maxed, though. Apparently being nude increases your defense. And suddenly the Chainmail Bikini makes sense.

Anyway, since S-Tenshi sucks, I decide to skip straight to the Green-boosting strategy that I have now labelled Green Boost and Rampage. S-Tenshi can't do a damn thing to her so I just max out Green's defense, special attack, and speed, and then basically just steamroll through the rest of Suika's puppets with her.

Eventually Green loses steam against B-Mystia due to low PP, so I decide to use Voodoo and finish things off with Thief. Coulda just used a Reloader though. Looking back, I get lucky a few times during this battle too. Luke DLwMarisa missing with Master Spark and B-Mystia getting paralyzed by Thunderbolt.

Suika's last puppet is LwSuika. Last Word puppets are barely worth mentioning at this point. Tabby blows her away with Psychosis. Suika then says I'm "the shit". I want you to just TRY picturing Suika saying a line like that.

Regardless, we beat Suika and got the last badge. We're done with the gyms. Horray! On the way out, I decide to talk to Aya again who decides to swear at me. Nice.

Green does most of the work, but we've managed to beat Suika anyway. That's the final badge! All that's left now is to go to the Hakurei Shrine and challenge the Grand Masters!

But it seems I've run into a familiar face along the way...

Since it's in the same city, why not go fight the rival again? This is the last time we'll be seeing her, folks.

Remember this place? Brings back memories. Memories of grinding up for a rather unfair fight with the rival and still having trouble with her.

Well, she's back. And still has that crazy hairdo too.

This battle took me several tries to finally get it down right. Good GOD it was a pain. The final battle just had to be a double battle, didn't it?

Because it's a double battle and features some of my least favorite puppets, some of which become so mainly because of the double battle like DLwUtsuho, I end up determining that the easiest way to go about beating her is by using the same strategy I used in the last two battles: Green Boost and Rampage. Only now with a side of Orange/Korea.

Also, this video glitches a bit. Low video quality, lengthy battles, and having trouble with the rival battle on Route 22. We really HAVE come full circle!

The strategy for leading off this battle was SUPPOSED to be a double Rock Slide, but I end up misclicking and using Bulk Up with DarkKnight. Whoops! Still manage to take down Utsuho but only by getting incredibly lucky.

Beating LwYukari with Thief wasn't originally part of the plan, more like a happy accident that is likely responsible for me actually managing to win this thing. I half expected Yukari to just be slightly inconvenienced by that boosted Master Spark but it takes her down in one hit. That leaves Green and Korea against DLwReisen and S-Tenshi.

DLwReisen is normally a pain, but this one kept using Psychosis and weakening herself in the process. And S-Tenshi is easily defended against. That bought me plenty of time to stat up with Green and Korea, then steamroll the rest of Karen's pokemon with them. After the battle, Karen vows to use some portal or something at the Grand Master place.

This plot just ends up completely abandoned, though. You won't be seeing her again at all in the rest of this LP.

With all that being said, we're done with the gyms! Next installment: Victory Road. AKA Shrine Maiden Graveyard.

So not looking forward to this one...

S-Tenshi isn't nude; after all, she's wearing her hat, isn't she? ;-)

How about, for an encore, you try a more normal Touhoumon hack, or at least one that doesn't suck as badly as this one...

I can't decide if I want this "game"'s plot threads to be completed.
