* TheyChangedItNowItSucks:** Slime Drop Drama from the 3Ds game is normally fine to beat, but doing it without taking damage with 30 stars can be really annoying, the first room might have a crate of five stars, but you might just have to get red eggs, enter and exit a locked door over and over again and pin down the Shy Guys or Snifits. And there is barely anything besides the middle ring and three Snifits tucked within walls during a moving platform segment to supply you with stars in the second room. Kamek can easily become ThatOneBoss trying to get through without getting hit.

Taken UpToEleven in ''DS'', as you now have ''five'' different babies to look after, each with their own ear-torturing cry.
** The squeaking noise when you slip on ice (or when Lil' Mousers or the monkeys in World 3 are nearby) can count as well. Thankfully, it's toned down on the GBA port.
** The high-pitched laughter Fly Guys make if you're not fast enough to take their prizes before they fly away, ''especially'' if they're carrying red coins. That sound is the bane of many players who strive for OneHundredPercentCompletion, and it doesn't help that they never respawn afterwards unless the player loses a life.
** To some, Yoshi's voice clips in the GBA port can get repetitive after a while.

** To the people who don't dislike ''Yoshi's New Island'', this seems to be a somewhat general consensus. A good amount of critics agree it's certainly *not* a "bad game", but because it's still seen as not living up to the SNES original it's generally regarded with opinions of "it's okay, but not great."
