** The 'Detective Komachi' episode is full of funny, what with the accusations here and there and then Bunbee butts in in the wrongest time possible and gets accused. Only Dream gets to hear his alibi, the rest just whoop him out of Nuts house with Dream telling them to hold up to no avail, ending with all girls, after driving Bunbee out, giving a low "Yes!", looking at Dream with thumbs up. In unison.

** [[spoiler:Hey, Kawarino, did you just send the Precures into utter despair with your Despair Mask? Okay, creepy, but I guess we could forgive that for standard villainy... Whoa, did you just SHOVE that black mask to Hadenya, forcefully transforming her? Wow, she's a bitch but maybe that's a bit too much, at least Girinma, Arachnea and Gamao had to do it on their own will... Wait, did you just backstab your former superior Bloody just because he 'served his purpose' of seeing the Dream Collet completed and send him to the depths of Hell!? Oh fuck YOU, Kawarino! Hope your death will be painful-- *Bloody ends up dragging him to Hell near the end of the series* -- THANK YOU!]]

** Kawarino from the original also qualifies: He worships despair too much and enjoys way too much kicking dogs way too much along with applying manipulations for no apparent reason. He backstabs his former superior Bloody once he thought the latter has outlived his usefulness, and it is also noted by Bloody that even the Nightmare group was a lot better before Kawarino came in charge, where there's at least teamwork. Also, Girinma, Arachnea, Gamao and Hadenya are jerks, but still show their loyalty to Nightmare... and Kawarino drove them to death by giving them the Black Cards all while claiming that his voice is Despariah's. [[spoiler:When Despariah contemplates on a HeelFaceTurn, Kawarino is extremely flabbergasted at the idea, which hammers the point home that he's even more evil than even Despariah, serving her not out of loyalty unlike the other employees. Nozomi didn't even get to declare him beyond redemption, Bloody came back from the grave to drag him to Hell along with him.]] Irritatingly, [[spoiler:he became a KarmaHoudini as seen in Go!Go!, surviving Nightmare's fall, although he's reduced to become Bunbee's servant of all people.]] No wonder Joker is heavily based on him.

** Episode 7: Coco trying to wake Nozomi up by turning into Kouji... and then got caught by Nozomi's mom with him on a very awkward position against the sleeping Nozomi. Her mom's FreakOut and Nozomi's attempts to 'explain' definitely count.

* PortmanteauSeriesNickname: Though it was common before, this series, particularly with its caption-less logo, made it look quite likely that both "Pretty Cure" and "Precure" are canon, both for the name of the series and for the name of the group. The fansubs still use the "it's always Pretty Cure" approach, but another group that briefly expressed interest mentioned that they would use the "literal translation depending on what's used" method instead. Of course, since the latter group's [=YPC5=] project seems to have vanished off the face of the earth...

* NightmareFuel (One episode sees each member of the team undergo MindRape; Urara gets visited by a mirror twin of herself that crawls out of the mirror and expresses an unhealthy fascination towards her, and Komachi gets swallowed by thousands of very little and very creepy Komachi plush dolls. This climaxes in a Reveal of a brainwashed Pretty Cure team wearing irremovable "sad-face" masks.)
** I was going to make a pun along the lines of "NightmareFuel: IThoughtItMeant Not to be confused with the masks that the Nightmare Group use to make the MonsterOfTheWeek", but the Black Kowaina masks are pretty damn scary: designed to be worn by a person rather than an inanimate object, one of these masks transforms the wearer into a OneWingedAngel version of their usual alternative form, but they lose their sanity in the process and become mindless berserkers. And this process is irreversible.
** In fact, episodes 23 and 24 are completely loaded with NightmareFuel, what with the terrifying mini-Komachis, the Urara duplicate that clearly wanted to rape Lemonade, and the evil child-Rin with the SlasherSmile. And then Girinma willingly put on a mask that turned him into a monsterous insect and Kawarino was making the most terrifying facial expressions ever and then all of them had the sad-looking masks on and then they fell into the pit and then Kawarino's face got even scarier.... Even for Japan, this seems like a little much for a MagicalGirl, doesn't it?
