* HarsherInHindsight: One episode, Wyatt's wish to become president of the chess club gets twisted into his getting THE Presidency instead. And then one of his first briefings involves learning about national security over the then-recent attack on the World Trade Center, that includes them saying they don't want to be caught off guard again. Wyatt interrupts it instead to talk about the matter of his school's chess club president.

* StrawmanHasAPoint: Gary's father. Even a liberal parent would think more than twice before letting his/her 15-years-old kid go to a party so vividly (and without a slightest trace of irony) described by Lisa.

* CreatorsPet: Chett. The producers liked Lee Tergesen's LargeHam performances so much that they started writing bigger and bigger parts for Chett, eventually making him a SecretKeeper in the final season.

* CrowningMomentOfHeartwarming: At the end of "Grampira," Wyatt and Gary (who, thanks to Wyatt's Nana's VampiricDraining, have essentially become old people trapped in young people's bodies), bring Nana back to her nursing home to reverse the spell and restore their own youthful energy. Nana not only readily agrees to go back, but tells Wyatt that being young once was enough for her--she's lived a long, happy life, enjoys her retirement, and especially likes to spend time with her grandchildren. The episode ends as Nana eagerly greets her also-retired friends, and Wyatt smiling as he watches her.

** In "You'll Never Eat Brains in This Town Again," while trying to coordinate a stunt, Chett kicks a zombie's head off - except he thought it was just a student actor and subsequently thinks he killed someone. While trying to bribe Wyatt into not testifying against him, a panicked Chett exclaims, "I can't go to prison!" Turns out, [[{{Oz}} he did go to prison]].

* NoHuggingNoKissing: Ok, so you just created a MagicalGirlfriend who looks like Kelly [=LeBrock=] and you ''don't'' have sex with her? Please.
** Justified in that Gary and Wyatt are extremely socially awkward and didn't exactly think that it would work.
** On the other hand, Wyatt wakes up wearing Lisa's underwear. While it's strongly implied that they might have had sex, she claims he passed out before they did anything. Maybe the underwear was a joke on her part, as it gets him in trouble with his older brother, or she could have denied it to avoid embarrassing him; it's up to the viewers to decide.

* SignatureScene: Lisa's first appearance and first words: "So, what would you little maniacs like to do first?"

* NightmareFuel: Enough to keep you having nightmares for a week or so, but not quite to StevenMoffat's extent.

* JumpingTheShark: The final season has an obviously lower budget, and the Chett/Lisa romance turns the boys into almost minor characters on their own show.
