** You would be very hard-pressed to find anybody who are genuine fans of Dio. Put simply, he's a tremendous, unceasing {{Jerkass}} who doesn't have much in the way of redeeming characteristics, even more so than Alice (who is also covered below). So if you see someone rejoicing over his death in some routes or picking the "Betray" option any time the player is given the choice to side with him, make no bones about it, it's likely [[VideoGameCrueltyPotential more out of spite]] for the guy than anything else.
** Many people were kinda put-off by how different Clover was personality-wise in this game from the first installment. A pretty ironic turnaround when you consider that Clover returned in this game because she was a [[EnsembleDarkhorse fan favorite]] in [[VisualNove/NineHoursNinePersonsNineDoors the first game]].

* EightDeadlyWords: Some people have argued that the cast of VLR are a lot less likable than 999's, to the point where they simply don't care what happens to them all or if they live or not. The exceptions to this are, of course, Luna and possibly Tenmyouji (and, by extension, Quark) [[spoiler:if he still has residual points by being Junpei.]]

* ThatOnePuzzle: The [[spoiler:Q Room]] contains revamped versions of some of the hardest puzzles across the game, but what stands out is its dice puzzle. Like before, it provides the player with clues to where the dice need to go, and the player has to roll the dice to the indicated locations. However, instead of matching one face and the die's position, the ''entire die's orientation'' must match the clue.

It does matter. People are expecting VLR and 999 spoilers at most, not ZTD spoilers, no matter how vague it is. Please avoid doing that (and I think some cleaning will be in order later on in 999 and VLR pages, but I'll consult with the other tropers beforehand).

* UnintentionallyUnsympathetic: Phi is something of a secondary protagonist, but she urges you to betray in the first round, even against Luna, even after mentioning that the best way to win the Prisoner's Dilemma for the whole group is to ally. And if you take her advice and betray, she blames the vote on you. If you ally and you're right to do so, she still chews you out.

Incorrect Indentation. Spoiler tags were vague enough to actually not spoil much, if any. Furthermore, nearly all of them had links in them that spoiled what they were trying to hide.

* {{Woolseyism}}: The game's Japanese title was generally translated as ''Good People Die'', but it also could be read as ''I Want To Be a Good Person''. To preserve this double meaning, the English title was changed to ''Virtue's Last Reward'' to play off the phrases "Virtue is its own reward" and "The last reward" (death). The scenario writer liked it so much he had the game's main theme on the soundtrack renamed to "Virtue's Last Reward".
