* HilariousInHindsight: Three years after [[Series/FrenchAndSaunders Dawn French]] took part in this ''Treasure Island'', Jennifer Saunders played a role in [[Film/MuppetTreasureIsland another]].

** Jim even moreso. He's been mutated by crystals in one episode, almost watched Jane die not once but twice (the first time, her soul got sucked out by a demon, the second time, she was bitten by a venomous snake), was psychologically tormented by the pool of prophecy, and he [[spoiler:lost his friend Smollett to the hands of Pew]]. After all he's been though, it's hard not to just reach into your screen and hug the poor pup.

* RetroactiveRecognition: The lower budget second season had several voice changes, though these days would likely be considered as much an AllStarCast as Season Two. Perhaps the clearest case is comedian Creator/RobBrydon replacing Creator/RichardEGrant as Long John Silver in one of his first screen performances.

* KeepCirculatingTheTapes: The show was only released on VHS in Australia, long ago. In addition, some people taped the show off the air while others have to resort to bootlegs. Otherwise, NO releases to this day. If you come across this show anywhere, save it. And never lose it.

* [[SpiritualSuccessor Spiritual Prequel]]: Though some see it this way, few fans of this series oddly see this as a somewhat spiritual prequel to Franchise/SonicTheHedgehog due to there being regular animals and some humans alongside the Anthrophomorphic Animals. Rather amusingly, the series actually has aesthetic similarities to ''VideoGame/HighSeasHavoc'', a Sonic-alike made almost the exact same time.
