Depending on your interpretation, Donna either doesn't take her relationship with Eric seriously, or she's afraid of commitment. Either way, you can understand Eric being upset with her. His last words in the argument, "if you can see a future without me in it and that doesn't break your heart, then we're not what I thought we were" show he feels a lot stronger about their relationship than she does. However in the episodes after, Donna is just as bitter and mean to Eric as he is to her.
