** Gold Lightan was apparently tournament-banned.

* HateDumb[=/=]FanDumb[=/=][[ComplainingAboutShowsYouDontWatch Complaining about Video Games You Don't Play]]: A lot of [[FanDumb people]] hate these games because, well... it's not Marvel (as in both "[[MemeticMutation What's]] [[PublicMediumIgnorance a]] Creator/{{Tatsunoko|Production}}?" and by not being ''Marvel vs Capcom 2''). Speaking of which, with ''[=MvC3=]'' announced, guess what the FanDumb did to the ''[=TvC=]'' players. The fact that some ''"hardcore fighting fans"'' automatically assume that the game is going to be played solely by ''"[[VideoGame/SuperSmashBros Smash]] babies"'' and that it is an automatic ''"inferior game"'' without even giving it a chance is really saddening.
** "My jabs are punishable!" Even though it was only apparent in the location-test vids and not in the actual game anymore, and that push-blocking (here called as Advancing Guard) is also punishable.
** Fan-favorite characters' absence ([[VideoGame/DevilMayCry Dante]] being the most requested one, along with the Anime/SamuraiPizzaCats and Anime/SpeedRacer).
** And, in an odd case of ''It's the Same so It Sucks'', those who hate that ''[=TvC=]'' is a Wii-only game and [[ConsoleWars demand the game to be ported to Xbox 360 and PS3]]. This despite the fact that the game originally ran on a Wii-based arcade board and [[WordOfGod the game producers]] saying that would be [[PortingDisaster too expensive to reprogram the game for those particular systems]].
** LOTS of hate has been directed at the new fighting system. At its core: three attack buttons and a partner button. Many complained about this "dumbed-down" system with out taking notice of the many complex moves you can pull off. Also, apparently "simple" means no depth.

* BigLippedAlligatorMoment: Most endings in ''Cross Generation of Heroes'' do not mention the final boss fight at all. Those falling outside the "Most" are Roll's, Yatterman-1's, Volnutt's, Karas', Jun's and (specially) Viewtiful Joe's. In ''Ultimate All Stars'' however, everyone refers to [[spoiler:Yami]] directly or indirectly - either they contemplate on them defeating the final boss, or recovering from the reality warp that took place during the game (which apparently is the "real" plot).
* EarWorm: ''Ultimate All-Stars'' doesn't have the character themes anymore, but damn, the [[Anime/TekkamanBlade Orbital Ring]] [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bp1ZkMq26A8 stage music]] was really catchy, in a retro-techno sort of way.
** Both verisons of ''Across the Border'' are pretty catchy as well.

** Saki not only has ascended from being an extra in ''Quiz Nanairo Dreams'', but in ''Ultimate All Stars'', she got a lot of buffs.
** [[DeadRising Frank West]] who apparenly made the game a day-one purchase for most fans.
** Zero and Joe the Condor, who are really popular characters in their original works, Zero is even more loved than VideoGame/MegaMan himself.

** The ending for ViewtifulJoe. It has him [[spoiler: beating Yami, than getting sucked back to his dimesion. The other heroes talked about how big of a chatterbox he is, but overall, really liked him and knows that this isn't the last time they see him. The ending picture of Joe on the brink of tears as he looks in the store window seeing the heroes he met in the other world stopped me cold. Imagine youself fighting along the heroes, beating them, and saving the world, than imagine yourself being sucked back to your dimesion by force, probally never seeing them again. Really makes you think, especially if you are a okatu like Joe.]]
* TheyChangedItNowItSucks: Within ''Ultimate All-Stars'', people who have played the original version felt that the removal of character themes was a bit harsh as well as some character changes, specially Karas. He was a powerful character in ''Cross Generation of Heroes'', then he was nerfed for ''Ultimate All Stars'', for balance reasons, leading to massive complaint about this. Now that the game came out, people are whining about the removal of most mini-games and the animated endings. They suddenly forgot the fact about the new characters, stages, the rebalanced {{metagame}}, and the very fact that the game is now available in the US and in Europe. And then we have the art. [=UDON=] has stated that they did redo all of the ending artwork (not the animated one) for all characters and for the newcomers. Cue people angrily complaining about the change and how the style sucks.

** They changed the background music into stage-specific themes? Boo! It's ''Marvel vs. Capcom 2'' all over again!.. Huh? What's this [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bp1ZkMq26A8 song?]] Why is it so damn [[EarWorm catchy?]] Why does it make me want to dance?!
** The game getting an international release in the first place was a pretty big deal to Capcom Vs. fans (and Wii owners in general).
