* FridgeBrilliance: Defeating BonusBoss [[spoiler:Bonetail]] nets you a grand total of... [[spoiler:one Star Point]]. Players will naturally rage at this... until realizing that [[spoiler:this is the game's way of saying "You just beat the hardest enemy in the entire game. You don't need to level up anymore!"]]

*** Becomes FridgeHorror when you discover [[spoiler:Canonically, Vivian is really a MAN in the Japanese version of the game]]

* FridgeHorror: At the bottom of the Pit of 100 Trials is [[spoiler:Bonetail. Which means several, several feet under Rogueport is a giant skeleton dragon]].

* HilariousInHindsight: Friendly, folksy characters from chilly northern lands who say, "You betcha!" What is this, an advance ad for SarahPalin?

* EnsembleDarkhorse: You can find a lot of fan art of Vivian...usually with, ah, [[IfYouKnowWhatIMean exaggerated assets]].

* FetishFuel: During the course of the game, Peach is ''required'' to undress no fewer than three times. Not to mention the optional shower scene...
