Widget Series has been renamed to Quirky Work as per TRS (clearing because of a lack of context).

Per TRS, this is YMMV

Added DiffLines:

* EventObscuringCamera: Excessive usage of skills with high knockback (read: mines) will lead to this, because the camera attempts to center itself in between the up to four players; a player being knocked far enough away (but not dying from falling damage or from a cliff) can actually cause the camera to be centered on nothing, with none of the players visible at all.

Idiot Plot is now Flame Bait

* IdiotPlot: The entire second half of the plot. [[spoiler: Why would Vlad not explain the situation to his past self? Or, why didn't he tell the heroes where Fafnir lived himself? If the Wizards can't talk, why didn't he talk to Death and Fafnir? In fact, why send them back in time in the first place?]] The answer to all those questions is you shouldn't care, because the whole thing is played for laughs.

Difficulty Spike became a YMMV trope

Added DiffLines:

* DifficultySpike: The second half of the game is noticeably harder than the first.

* MostAnnoyingSound: Every time the ExpositionFairy speaks. Which is a lot. While it's supposed to be a parody of expository companions in games ([[VideoGame/TheLegendOfZeldaOcarinaOfTime Navi]] being the most obvious example), some people feel it worked a little TOO well and are compelled to kill themselves for the sole purpose of shutting her up.

* AnticlimaxBoss: Though the boss battle against [[spoiler: Assatur, the King in Yellow]] is intended to be an actual epic challenging fight, there is a flaw in his spells' trajectories coupled with level design which makes it almost trivial. He is flying over a wide pit, while the protagonists are standing on a flying platform next to him. When standing as close to him as you can without falling, you're in a kind of blind spot in which some of his spells miss their target or hit with such a trajectory that they don't inflict all their damages. So, when standing there, one can just spam thunderbolt (QF-A-S-A) and the boss can be defeated in as little as a minute.

* AnticlimaxBoss: AnticlimaxBoss:
** The Aristocrats can be a challenge as they are groups of four who use magic, meaning you have to keep a close eye on your character to cancel out status effects quickly and be careful not to accidentally shoot a beam crossing paths with another beam with opposites lest you get blown sky-high. Doing that once? Slight challenge. Having to do it five times? A ''very'' big challenge. That is, provided you don't just spam mines at where they spawn, killing them as soon as they appear.

* GoddamnedBats: Goblin Archers. The arrows they shoot don't deal too much damage, but they do have this tendency to knock you down if you're using a shield. And by the time you get up, they have another one notched, ready to knock you flat on your ass ''again''. And this is only with ''one''; against multiple Archers you may as well just lean back and let your wizard's Shield drain. Gives a new meaning to AnnoyingArrows.

* GoddamnedBoss: Jormungandr, because of how awkward it his to attack him. Someone has to be right next to him, and you have to hit him in the head (which is a small target and can be tricky to hit due to the weird angles and perspectives) in the moment before he close range attacks. If you miss, you have to wait a while before you can try again. What's more, sometimes he'll use the long range attack even though there's someone standing right next to him.

* ThatOneBoss: Sweet merciful lord, [[spoiler:GRIMNIR]]! Even the developers had trouble beating him. As if fighting an enemy who could cast devastating Magicks, and Shield himself wasn't enough, he also has an indestructible Ethereal duplicate who can shoot Projectiles from all angles, a tiny arena surrounded by a bottomless pit, AND the Mind Duel.

* ThatOneLevel: Chapter 6. There are bottomless pits everywhere, and the whole level is crawling with all the various types of Daemons, who have such ''wonderful'' abilities as high speed, high damage, superhuman accuracy, the ability the Phase into the Ethereal Realm, where you can't hurt them, and splitting into more enemies when they die.
** Chapter 8 is another contender, mainly due to its length and the over-abundance of GoddamnedBats.
** The crown, however, has to go to Chapter 11. It's the longest level in the game, and has enemies practically every few feet, and there is not a single enemy in the level that could possibly be considered weak or easy. Snow Trolls, Dwarves, and Malignant Watchers? The game's most infamous DemonicSpiders? ALL FROM THIS CHAPTER. Making matters worse is that this level takes place indoors. This may not sound too bad, but those using the TRON robes and relying on the lightning bolt Magicks are going to be in for a nasty surprise.

I'm not sure if the Endermen actually can swing at you. For me, Stone armor made them completely docile. However, the shoggoths were most certainly not lightning bruisers.

** Shoggoths seem to be ''The Stars Are Left'''s answer to the Snow Trolls. Remember how ''At The Mountains Of Madness'' originally compared one to a subway train? Well, they're about that fast and durable, and even more likely to kill you if they so much as touch you.

Those who try to a subway train? Well, they're about cheese through their HP with physical elements like Stone and Ice or their melee weapon will be dismayed to find that fast and durable, and even more likely to kill you if they so much as touch you.this only heals them.
