** According to the video games and additional material set in this continuity, ''it has already happened, '''twice''''': while the Leplendis Fleet (Meltrandi) and the unnamed Zentraedi fleets that attacked in 2054 and 2082 (this one mentioned in the series) were vulnerable (in fact the 2082 fleet suffered such a CurbStompBattle that the UN Spacy in the series can't take the Zentraedi seriously anymore), the crew of the Neld Zentraedi fleet that attacked in 2036 had trained itself to partially resist it, and the Burado Fleet (Zentraedi again) of 2036 had a ship with a communication filter that outright blocked the Minmay Attack, and the only reason Earth resisted against Burado long enough to find out and destroy the filter ship is that Leplendis showed up right at this moment and interfered.

** The video games and additional material set in this continuity says that, between Space War I and the Mardook attack, there were attacks from ''five'' Zentraedi and Meltrandi Main Fleets: the Neld Fleet (Zentraedi) in 2036, the Burado Fleet (Zentraedi) in 2037, the Leplendis Fleet (Meltrandi) ''in the middle of the Burado Fleet attack'', and two unnamed fleets in 2054 and 2082 (the latter of which mentioned in the series). Worse, ''Neld and Burado could resist the Minmay Attack'': Neld had forewarning and the troops had been braced for it, reducing its effects, and Burado, also forewarned, had a Protoculture communication system to filter it out (thankfully, once it's destroyed the Minmay Attack makes short work of the enemy force).
