* HilariousInHindsight: While this isn't the first time Udo Kier (Kortzfleich) has played a Nazi, it certainly wouldn't be the last; he'd go on to star in ''VideoGame/CallOfDutyWWII'' in its Zombies mode as Dr. Peter Straub, the main antagonist (modeled after Mr. Kier himself through performance-capture).

* {{Narm}}: When Kortzfleich is shot, the vocal reaction is hilariously underwhelming.

* HarsherInHindsight: Adler and Richter's populist message proving extremely successful after being adapted into the US Republican presidential campaign can have a bitter aftertaste after the real-world global rise of right-wing populism from 2015 onward, especially in the US. [[RulesOfCautiousEditingJudgement And that's all we have to say about that]].

** No one could ever legitimately believe that Washington is anything but a black man in whiteface. Not much you can do about it, though, besides completely changing his facial features. However, it's arguable that that's a failure at all, since he underwent treatment that made his skin lighter. There's no reason to expect anything other than a black man in whiteface. There ''are'' Albino African-descendants, and that is exactly what most people must have confused Washington with.

* CrazyAwesome: When TheOtherWiki article has the summary using phrases such as "Nazi Space Battleship", and add in a few flying saucers and political/technological jabs, you're in for a ride...

** SomeAnvilsNeedToBeDropped: The film is definitely critical of the Republican party, but its message is ''much'' more nuanced than "Republicans are terrible people." It's a treatise against an extreme nationalist mindset that encourages competition rather than cooperation among the nations (something the Republican party is certainly guilty of promoting, at least in recent years). In the film, an international dick-measuring contest reduces the people of Earth to such mindless, violent, selfish, slobbering monsters that the Nazis end up looking civilized by comparison.
* AwesomeMusic: The trailer rocks out to Music/{{Laibach}}'s [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UgqjnzkYPnA B Mashina.]]

* SoBadItsGood[=/=]SoCoolItsAwesome[=/=]SoOkayItsAverage: The common reactions to the movie. Well, aside from the people who just hate it.
** Surprisingly with a stumbling start it ends with some laughs.

*** Actually the scene is, surprisingly, accurate. In real life, NASA's engineers were concerned that if the Apollo LM's descent engine was still running on landing the craft could be damaged by blowing debris or exhaust gas. Therefore, three of the lunar lander's footpads had 5-foot long sensing probes dangling from them which activated the 'contact' light before the lander was on the surface. It was ultimately up to the pilot when to shut down the engine, but some of the LM's made fairly hard landings and suffered some, luckily only minor, damage.

** The national anthem of the Moon Nazis uses the tune of the old German patriotic song "[[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Die_Wacht_am_Rhein Die Wacht am Rhein]]" with different lyrics. From World War One to the end of World War 2, "Die Wacht am Rhein" was so popular that it was one of the ''de facto'' German national anthems (the other one being the more famous - and still used today - "[[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deutschlandlied Deutschlandlied]]"). So, the Nazis kept as their anthem a tune their ancestors viewed s such.
