** [[FridgeBrilliance Not really.]] Loki had removed Banner from Hulk, which is essentially removing the Hulk's conscience, reducing him to a mindless force of pure destruction. In the Wolverine segment, he was just really pissed.
* Yes it is considering the vast power difference between Hulk and Wolverine in any incarnation of the latter. Given the way Hulk was portrayed in Hulk vs Thor it should have been a one-sided stomp in the Hulk's favor against Wolverine. Instead, it was more or less equal. Hulk kept pounding on Wolverine who kept getting up and giving as good as he got.

* CompleteMonster: The Professor, Sabretooth ("I think we'll drop the Hulk on an orphanage or something, just for fun"), and Omega Red. Deadpool avoids this by being LaughablyEvil, but he's still a lot more evil than his comics version.

** YMMV. There is Suspension of Disbelief and there is insulting a persons intelligence. Hulk had trouble handling Wolverine but he beats up Thor and the people of Asgard like they were nothing?
*** Actually, there's nothing insulting about it. Hulk without Banner (as he was in the Thor segment thanks to Loki) is far more powerful than normal Hulk.

Yet, Wolverine was shown nearly even with the Hulk in the battle taking into consideration he is far weaker physically yet Thor was shown literally laying there and barely fighting back as Hulk pounded on him despite himself being a trained and experienced warrior.
