This part isn't really relevant (you can beat Myst in minutes with a walkthrough, too; but that requires already having played the game or having someone tell you what to do, so it doesn't reflect anyone's real experience playing "properly.".)

...Yeah, this is the second time I've had to do this. You've got a problem? Take it to the discussion page, as I've tried to say multiple times.

But the thing is it wouldn't be the same story. A girl running away from home to be with a guy who chooses her over the army is a totally different dynamic from "a lesbian runs away from a toxic and disapproving situation at home to be with her girlfriend who chooses to be with her instead of remain in the closet in the army. The driving force, the narrative, the risks and societal context is different. To claim that it's the same is simply naive.

None of that is actually an "alternative interpretation" the whole point of the game is that the situation is complicated and everyone is distracted and emotionally juggling with their own baggage and no one is handling ANYTHING very lucidly. Also when was the relationship ever actually mentioned by the creators, the game, or any such media as being a "surprise"? They meet and fall for each other almost immediately in the game, and it's fairly obvious from literally the first time we hear about Lonnie, as she describes a golden star shining over her across the room. It was never billed as a horror.

At the very least, could you stop changing "Genre Shift" to "descent?" Some of my edit is for grammar, after all!
