** The Shifts, ''living'' memes who exist in the memetic connections between a written work and its viewers.

* MarySuetopia: Roma I and the associated Known Romes come dangerously close to this. Half of it is deliberate ValuesDissonance on the part of the narrator - slavery is absolutely fine because they're at least not starving, ruthlessness is a necessary part of life, and patriotism comes above all things. However, the ease with which it crushes the [[AcceptableTargets Nazi worlds]] despite their superior technology (one battle involves putting heavy artillery out of commission with catapults and archers picking off every single enemy sniper), the complete lack of any internal conflict from the thousands of competing 'lesser' Romes despite the civilization's bloody history of self destruction, and the convenient ease with which 20th century 'barbarians' adapt to its alien-yet-clearly-superior morals make it vaguely infuriating to read about. The narrative agrees with its narrator just slightly too much.

* TearJerker - From the audios, the deaths of [[spoiler: Finton, who was just a poet who Faction Paradox manipulated into unknowingly becoming a weapon against Sutekh]] and [[spoiler: Eliza/Horus, Justine's only friend and companion]].

* CrazyAwesome - Let's get real. This pretty much describes the entire freaking series when it's not being scary. A subdimensional realm created out of nonexistant time? A massive, galaxy-wide city where every single human to ever live exists somewhere, including fictional characters and visitors from all time and space? [[ArsonMurderAndJaywalking The best damn costumes to ever grace a cult?]] FactionParadox has it all. Except for sanity, of course.

* CrowningMomentOfFunny - Godfather Morlock's Winston Churchill impression has to be heard to be believed.

* MagnificentBastard: Plenty to go around, particularly Godfather Morlock[[hottip:* :"You're a ruthless bastard, Morlock! I'd almost ''like'' you, if you weren't such a ''colossal'' ponce."]] and Demetra Kein from the audio plays, Godfather Avatar [[hottip:* :"Get the ''fuck'' out of my room!" [[DeadpanSnarker "Ah, yes. The fuck. I shall remove it forthwith."]]]] from the novel ''Of the City of The Saved''. Really, anyone just possessing a rank in the Faction qualifies for this trope. And, of course, Lolita.

** Not to mention Antipathy's "factory" for putting dead people back together and resurrecting them in the City of the Saved. Each person is put together bit by bit, organ by organ, screaming in agony the entire time. And then they get repeatedly raped ForTheEvulz. {{Squick}}.

Starting with the fact not even the Great Houses know whether they are truly alive or are merely symptoms of an [[OhCrap entire timeline]] [[ItGotWorse that has started ripping chunks of its own flesh]]. And then we get the knowledge they can string a victim's nervous system over an entire planet. [[FateWorseThanDeath While still feeling pain and unable to die.]]
