* MartyStu: Future Trunks. While some of his developments come to their logical conclusion, such as meeting a more powerful enemy that forces him to attain a new form, many things throughout the arc seem to be geared towards Trunks in this fasion. He gets an ImpliedLoveInterest without really explaining how they met, or if they even realize just how much older she technically is than him. Next, he gets a new form that's never been seen before derived from his Rage, despite the fact that compared to other character's, his anger wasn't nearly as much and they didn't attain this level of power despite similarly having Super Saiyan 2 beforehand. To make things worse, it automatically bumps him up to level to be able to deal with Black AND Zamasu at the same time so he no longer gets overshadowed by Goku and Black's Blue forms. Later, he manages to learn the Evil Containment Wave in a rather short amount of time from, of all things, a recording on a phone. Though that eased by the fact he needs to powerup immensely and aim in a big vase, the amount of time to learn it is still egregious. Finally, after a drawn out battle where Goku and Vegeta could not defeat Zamasu, and the Retcon happened preventing Vegito from landing the final blow, Trunks manages to have enough energy to save Goku and Vegeta,and land a few damaging hits on the corrupted kai. Lastly, he learns the spirit bomb, a technically he's never even SEEN, and doubtfully heard of, to gain ''another'' powerup and save the day by finally defeating the fused kai. Even after this is revealed to make things worse, he still ends up getting a new timeline where all this tragedy never happened along with his ImpliedLoveInterest being the ONLY other survivor from his old timeline.
