** The fact that the [[spoiler: Shinigami]] will have the same last name as your character from DigitalALoveStory. If you played the second,... well first, and then play this it can scare the crap out of you as a character has the same name as you or your pen name.

* IdiotBall: Although clearly shaken up by it, John never follows up [[spoiler: on the disappearance and apparent suicide of one of his students with any more]] than a single email, not even bothering to ask other classmates about her condition in person. John also believes is trapped and must admit to [[spoiler: eavesdropping on Amie]] despite having only stated that he [[spoiler: assumed a disappeared student might have died *and* having been stalked by someone who claims that he could have prevented her death. Which even without Amie would be a decent reason to assume she'd died]]. There were some odd leaps in logic that lead into that trap.

Also, Rook gets a lecture [[spoiler: for keeping the connection secret despite being explicitly instructed by your employer not to]] which, considering he's presumably in a temporary position, could almost certainly get him fired, [[spoiler: if anything, he could have avoided the entire conversation at that point because it's not his choice to obey policy or not]].

** It's also worth noting that if you follow the Arianne plot, she remarks that [[spoiler: the relationship must be kept secret]], only to later admit she knew [[spoiler:John, and presumably the rest of the school staff, could read amie on a whim]]. Either she's not as clever as she thinks or she doesn't give a second thought to getting John fired. [[spoiler: It's also worth remarking that Taylor can try to blackmail you with this as well, despite /also/ knowing that Amie was essentially open to the school staff anyway]].

* AManIsAlwaysEager: You MUST get under Arianna's spell, instead of handling her with fatherly sympathy.

* ItsAllAboutMe: Trying to live her [[WrongGenreSavvy romantic story]], Arianna is convinced Rook's rejection must be no other than chivalrous care for '''her''', rather than concern for his career or lack of interest; his apologies in the rain, saying she could do better than chase a much older man is insecurity about being good enough for '''her''', instead of trying to let her down gently. Not to mention her entitlement to have him run to comfort her whenever she has private problems, be it surprising him in his flat when he is busy or use his (also coerced) hug to kiss him.

* NotGoodWithRejection: Seriously, Arianna? Is the nicest rejection possible from a complete stranger so [[{{Wangst}} traumatizing]]?

* AlternateCharacterInterpretation: Rook -- earnest teacher in over his head or horrible teacher and sadsack creep? Arianna -- calculating FilleFatale, or hopeless naive romantic who thinks she's not? Kendall -- the most awesome person ever or the most annoying person ever? Nolan -- put-upon boyfriend, or cocky douchebag? And finally, Taylor -- manipulative bitchy popular bully with no regard for anyone's feelings, or troubled teen who's bad at people skills and doesn't understand why she's losing friends? All of these are supported by one path or another.

** This depends on what you say to her. You can just plain reject her from the start, though she will not take it well.
