** In the video for ''Film/SpiderManHomecoming'', Jeremy makes fun of Creator/RobertDowneyJr's constant presence in the film saying that Marvel has tricked him into starring in another ''Iron Man'' movie while making him believe that he is in a ''Spider-Man'' movie. In 2019, Creator/GwynethPaltrow revealed that she didn't even know she was in this movie (in the very scene that Jeremy was mocking, no less!) and believed that she was in an ''Avengers'' movie, although in her case, Marvel hadn't tricked her, given that she went on to reveal that she remembers almost nothing [[note]]Including Creator/TomHolland's name, Creator/SamuelLJackson's invlovement in the Franchise/MarvelCinematicUniverse and even who Creator/SebastianStan is![[/note]] about the [[Franchise/MarvelCinematicUniverse franchise]].

*** For that matter, Jeremy becoming more political in later videos, which is split between those who agree with his views and those who don't. Those who agree with his views usually say that these views are relatively uncontroversial with opposition to them being minimal. Those who disagree with his views argue that while he has every right to voice his views and opinions, a web series whose premise is identifying flaws in movies is hardly the appropriate place.

** One of the misfit sins from the fan made ''Film/IronMan3'' video was "The f*king villain is named after a f*king fruit", referring to the Mandarin. In ''Film/ShangChiAndTheLegendOfTheTenRings'', Wenwu reveals that the group who appropriated the name Ten Rings didn't know his name so they named him after a chicken dish and revelled in the fact that the Americans were scared of an orange.]]

* SeasonalRot: Initially, the videos were pointing out the actual ''flaws'' of the movies, like a PlotHole or SpecialEffectsFailure. However, the show has gradually devolved into a parody of itself, picking apart a movie for the most minor things, like just showing the studio logo or having narration. It's telling that the earlier videos were around 5 minutes long, later ones are 20-30 minutes. ''At least''.

** UsefulNotes/DonaldTrump's cameo from ''[[Film/HomeAlone Home Alone 2: Lost in New York]]'' got 1,000,000,000 sins (In comparison, the ''Ocean's Eleven'' scene where Danny Ocean is in a phone booth next to the Trump Plaza gets 10 sins). Some appreciated the TakeThat aimed at the president, while others saw it as a political cheap shot and felt Jeremy was signaling that Trump supporters, or right-wingers in general, were not welcome in his fanbase.

** Jeremy is an example as while most people don't mind him as a narrator, his attitudes in his Dear Hollywood videos regarding the movie industry are either endorsed by fans or lambasted due to his extremely abrasive and judgmental attitude, with the Disney video being blatant in this regard, and found borderline hypocritical in regards of his hate for remakes/sequels/reboots, noting that Jeremy has branched ''[=CinemaSins=]'' into multiple forms such as Music Video Sins and Brand Sins. His reactions during the "Review Crew" scandal haven't helped his case either due to actions being seen as petty by some.

** Regardless of one's thoughts on the matter, the "Review Crew" scandal is this as Jeremy appeared to be deeply hurt in his accusation video and over the attacks from his own fans against Screen Junkies. This is especially sad when one considers the tight bond the fans of both channels share.

He compares splitting the movies up is like playing Russian Roulette in which eventually fans will revolt and not see the sequel. He caps it off by saying the ''Literature/{{Divergent}}'' series is likely the one that's going to get impacted. In 2016, it was reported the Lionsgate was considering tanking the series and releasing the last film on TV due to the diminishing returns, which was probably the trend killer for sequel-splitting.

** The "Like/Dislike" ratio will skew more towards dislike if the creators actually does something different than their regular schtick, especially if they have a Special Guest Voiceover. The guys have now started mocking those who get upset.

** Jeremy has received some intense criticism for "Everything Wrong With ''WesternAnimation/LiloAndStitch'' In 18 Minutes Or Less", in which (among several issues that viewers had with his criticism, including the fact that he doesn't remove even one sin for anything in the film) he bashes Nani for being a "terrible human being" (going as far as to state that no amount of a redemption story will ever change his mind) because she couldn't properly handle taking care of Lilo, even though most anyone with a sense of understanding in the context of the Pelekai sisters' situation know that Nani was thrust in the position of taking care of Lilo against her will thanks to the deaths of their parents (and that fact gets sinned as well because of Disney's infamy with the DeceasedParentsAreTheBest trope) and the both of them were struggling to cope with the situation at hand. Viewers pointed out Nani was trying her best, but the stress of everything going on was easily overwhelming her and thus causing her to make those mistakes depicted in the film.

** In every one of his sin videos, you will find many mixed Website/YouTube comments, usually those who criticize or insult him on being too serious and overly critical about an entertaining movie. In the descriptions of some videos, they even note that they like some of the films they're covering; examples have included ''Film/BackToTheFuture'', ''Film/TheHuntForRedOctober'' and ''Film/TheMatrix''. In ''Everything Wrong With [=CinemaSins=]'' Jeremy notes that one of the films they've covered is in his personal top ten.[[note]] "And no, it's not motherf*cking ''Film/{{Twilight}}''. It was ''Film/{{Battleship}}''.[[/note]] Some people do have a point about not reading too much into the films, focusing on narrative themes rather than minor nitpicks, and though the nature of the channel is satirical, they often add some serious criticisms and treat sins as fact... which comes with its own share of flaws. Also despite their own claim that, "[cinema] sins have no real value", the number and length of the bonus rounds tend to indicate their disdain for a film, and sometimes they'll actually ''state'' as much.
