** Priscilla Kelly got to national television first, as a part of ''Big Fat Gypsy Weddings''' US SpinOff, but Britani Knight was in the wrestling business before the reality show, Kelly waiting for it to end before wrestling. Knight's gimmick and behavior didn't get ''really'' similar until Knight became Paige in NXT, but people who only knew Kelly through wrestling assumed she got ''everything'' from Paige. The similarities between the two are disjointed; Indy!Britani Knight was a "Gypsy Soul" due to the fact her family were roaming travelers who settled in England, Paige was an antisocial technical brawler in NXT, then Paige used her sexuality as a weapon on Raw and Smackdown. The antisocial technical brawling Kelly gets from Knight, the sexual curiosity towards Wrestling/BigELangston and harassment of AJ Knight gets from Kelly, the black hair(which is {{dye|ingforyourart}}d in Knight's case but before ''Big Fat Gypsy Weddings'' aired), pale skin and gypsy identity are coincidental but enough to ensure the two would have been compared even if they didn't borrow from each other.

* RealityEnsues:
** So TheAce, a vicious, antisocial prodigy with a knack for beating down anyone she judges to be an acceptable target, debuts on WWE as the first female NXT champion and ends up taking on Wrestling/AJLee. She wins, and accomplishes four things at once: first, she becomes the first Diva to be both NXT Women's and WWE Divas champion; second, she becomes the youngest ever Divas champion; third, she prevents AJ from reaching the 300-day milestone; and fourth, she's the one to finally vanquish the widely-despised AJ. (Also add to this that night before, at ''Wrestling/WrestleMania XXX'', they all had a shot at AJ's title in the form of the "Wrestling/VickieGuerrero Invitational", and ''failed yet again''.) As the champion, she brutally beats down everyone who goes up against her, and doesn't even attempt to make friends. So how do the Divas react to this triumphant young upstart who walked in out of nowhere, did everything they couldn't and hasn't even tried to fit in? They loathe her. Prior to Team PCB's formation in summer 2015, only three exceptions to this rule have existed:
*** [[Wrestling/TenilleDashwood Emma]], whom Paige has known since at least NXT and whom Paige pointed to as one of her friends in a WWE App promo. That relationship's been on and off depending on alignment, with Paige once hilariously "proposing" to Emma to be her tag team partner by promising she won't attack her.
*** Wrestling/{{Naomi}}, who developed a mutual grudging respect with Paige, as the two match up rather well competitively speaking. This lasted until Paige won a #1 Contender's battle royal, causing Naomi to snap and pull a violent FaceHeelTurn on Paige after being shafted to the side.[[note]]Naomi had pinned Divas Champ Nikki Bella three times in the past two months at that point, so from her perspective the battle royal should've never been booked.[[/note]]
*** [[{{Irony}} None other than]] Wrestling/AJLee herself, who went on to have the infamous "Frenemies" feud with Paige over the Divas title. Their affable enmity eventually turned into mutual respect and an actual friendship after both had to contend with the Wrestling/BellaTwins' games for months, leading to the two beating the Bellas in a tag match at Wrestling/WrestleMania 31. AJ retired shortly afterwards.
** Used again during her feud with the Wrestling/BellaTwins when, in desperate need of allies to put things on an even playing field, she turns to the other Divas — and finds that ''not one of them'' will help her because they still have issues with her. In fact, the Bellas manage to convince one, Wrestling/AliciaFox, to join up with them against Paige, and Wrestling/{{Naomi}} and Wrestling/{{Tamina|Snuka}} outright hate both sides and opt to become the third option in the feud.
*** This lasts all the way up until July 2015, when Wrestling/StephanieMcMahon introduces three of NXT's "Four Horsewomen": Wrestling/{{Charlotte|Flair}}, Wrestling/BeckyLynch—the two of whom join up with Paige and form the trio later known as PCB—and Wrestling/SashaBanks, who links up with Naomi and Tamina as Team BAD. Despite Stephanie putting herself in the position of officially placing the trios together, Charlotte and Becky have plenty of reason to be exceptions to the "Everybody Hates Paige" rule. They both came from NXT like she did, Charlotte was Paige's successor as longtime NXT Champion and WildCard [[TheAce Ace]] of the women's division there, and Becky's been a friend of hers since the independent days and even came back to wrestling after three years off by first managing her and her mother for awhile.
*** And then the trope revisits itself, but also as an inversion. After PCB wins a three-way team elimination match at Wrestling/SummerSlam that gets retroactively turned into a "victor gets the spoils" thing where the winning team gets to vie for a chance at a title shot, Paige comes up short in the Beat the Clock challenge thanks to Team BAD saving Wrestling/SashaBanks, allowing Charlotte to become #1 contender. Over the next few weeks Charlotte gets her title shot pushed to before Night of Champions in an attempt to stop Nikki from breaking AJ's record, ends up winning by DQ thanks to the Bellas' Twin Magic hijinks and getting another shot at Night of Champions anyway. Meanwhile, Paige's already dismal record against Sasha Banks on the main roster keeps getting worse as she and Becky Lynch are repeatedly frustrated by Team BAD. Come Night of Champions, Charlotte, clad in new gear including a top that says WOOOO, beats Nikki for the title, then celebrates with her father Wrestling/RicFlair as well as her teammates. So what happens when Paige, the nominally anti-social, headstrong, and increasingly bratty and frustrated prodigy with "[[ItsAllAboutMe This is MY HOUSE!]]" as a catchphrase who has a case to claim that she started the Divas Revolution in more ways than one, has to stand and witness her NXT successor whose identity is essentially "I'm the daughter of a wrestling god" standing on top with the championship she honestly expected to regain off the back of this new movement? She goes scorched earth, buries Charlotte's lack of an identity, and absolutely tears into every other non-executive woman on the roster.

* SmallRoleBigImpact: Her actions as ''[[Wrestling/WWESmackdown Smackdown Live!]]''[='=]s General Manager led to the creation of [[Wrestling/BeckyLynch "The Man"]]. She booked a Triple Threat match where the champion Wrestling/{{Carmella}} would face Becky and Wrestling/CharlotteFlair for ''Wrestling/{{Summerslam}} 2018''. At the end of said match, with Charlotte stealing the victory and the championship from her hands at the last minutes of the match, and feeling that everything she worked for has been stolen again, Becky [[FaceHeelTurn turned heel]] on Charlotte, and their friendship was destroyed. This, in turn, would lead to the revamp of Becky as a Wrestling/StoneColdSteveAustin-like character (with the audience ''refusing'' to boo her), a series of well-received matches against Charlotte (including a [[Wrestling/TheWrestlingObserverNewsletter four-and-three-quarter-star-rated]] Last Man Standing match at ''WWE Evolution''), the Twitter feud with Creator/RondaRousey, Becky being injured by Wrestling/NiaJax in the ''Raw'' go-home episode for ''Wrestling/SurvivorSeries 2018'' (and the resulting injury from Nia's botch making Becky look like a warrior), Becky being left out of ''SS'' due to said injury, and the main event of ''Wrestling/{{WrestleMania}} 35'' being changed from Ronda vs. Charlotte into a Triple Threat match with Becky inserted as a challenger between the two champions in a "Winner Takes All" match... which she won, resulting in Becky being the first Women's Champion holding both the Raw and Smackdown Women's titles at the same time and becoming [[TheAce the new face]] of [[Wrestling/WWENewEra the WWE's "New Era"]]. Oh, and if that wasn't enough, in RealLife, her new persona being called "The Man" led to a series of Twitter quips with Wrestling/SethRollins, who also called himself "The Man"... and who eventually not only would become his boyfriend, but also the father of her child.

** Seems to be a common theme with the Divas, as they repeatedly write Paige off as some rookie who got a fluke win. Most notably, Wrestling/AJLee took her too lightly and lost her first Divas Championship because of it. Wrestling/{{Cameron}} in particular tends to look down on Paige; she repeatedly calls Paige a rookie, despite Paige having a damn sight more experience than her—which is canon, too, with Michael Cole & JBL outright referring to Paige's real-life background as a part of a WrestlingFamily—and insists Paige's victories over herself are flukes, though Paige says it happening more than once shows that they were anything but.
** Since Booker T replaced Jerry Lawler on the ''RAW'' announce team at the start of 2015, Booker has routinely refered to Paige as a rookie each week despite Paige's background of essentially growing up in a wrestling ring thanks to being part of a WrestlingFamily being long established on WWE telvision; and even ignoring that, Paige was already a two time Divas champion by the time Booker joined the announce team.

And Saraya was pretty far along at that point. And then, the bulk of Paige's initial ring training (which any wrestler will tell you can be [[TrainingFromHell harsh and physical]]) occurred while she was still barely a teenager, at the hands of her mother and brothers. During this training and in the early goings of her career, she would often be stiffed if she screwed up a move (a practice she later returned onto others in FCW developmental until the WWE's trainers informed her that it was a no-no). Again, she was still a teenager (she'd just turned 18 when she signed with FCW). The contrast between music and character is made painfully obvious whenever Paige does her [[SkipOfInnocence AJ skip]].

[[CaptainObvious They loathe her.]] Prior to Team PCB's formation in summer 2015, only three exceptions to this rule have existed:

** Also combined with {{Ascended Fan|boy}}girl, as the defining elements of the badass Anti-Diva Paige character were all influenced from three of her own favorite wrestlers from when she grew up: Wrestling/BullNakano's brutality and [[FinishingMove scorpion cross lock]] finisher, Wrestling/{{Lita}}'s unconventional beauty and attitude, and Stone Cold Steve Austin's take-no-nonsense anti-status quo bent—something she would later admit to Austin himself on the ''Stone Cold Podcast''.
