I honestly like the old one better, too.

You can start a thread in Image Picking and ask for the image to be changed back, with the header "Changed w/o discussion".

I have no preference for either image. I've just noticed people on this site have a strange tendency to replace one image with another that's functionally identical. Sometimes I take note of it, for future reference.
