* AdultFear: Arguably the entire series runs on this given the show primarily takes place within a 13-year old kid, but to name some of the more notable examples:
** In a moment of TooDumbToLive, Hector goes skateboarding without a helmet. Ozzy and Drix go OhCrap when they realize. He suffers a nasty head injury and a concussion, with a real danger of falling unconscious. Fortunately, he stays awake long enough for Travis to find him and help him get home.
** In "A Growing Cell", Stickety Lipid kidnaps fat cell kids to trap them in plaque and clogging them in Hector's arteries to give him a heart attack. But fortunately, Hector was exercising at the time, freeing the fat cell kids and allowing Ozzy and Drix to apprehend Stickety.
** In "When Nature Calls" Hector's appendix is ripe about to burst thanks to a hillbilly germ named Billy Bob Bile turning it into an inn via a detour sign from the small and large intestines. What makes it worse is this is during a river rafting trip, without any cellular service. Fortunately Hector is able to get it removed in the Nick of time.
** In "A Cold Day in Hector", Hector decides to snowboard off the main trail, gets lost, and almost dies of hypothermia. Special mention to when he wakes up to see a search party looking for him, but is so weak he can't get up or call out to them, resulting in them coming very close to missing him.

In "Where There's Smoke", Nick O'Teen comes within a hairs breadth of making Hector addicted to cigarettes, with the only thing stopping him being the teenagers own willpower.

** In "Where There's Smoke", while most of Nick O'Teen's gang is destroyed early on, Nick O'Teen himself comes very close to getting Hector addicted to cigarettes; it's only Hector's own willpower that defeats him at the last moment.

* OldHeroesNewPals: The series is a spinoff of the movie ''Film/OsmosisJones'' but the titular character and his partner Drix are the only ones to return due to the being sucked out of their host Frank [=DeTorre=] by a mosquito and transported into the body of a teenager named Hector Cruz. As a result, they have a new supporting cast.

When Hector wakes up and sees a rescue team, Drix tries desperately to find a Shout button to get their attention; when the rescue team is about to leave, he just panics and slams a bunch of buttons, causing Hector to loudly ''burp''. * HappyEndingOverride: ''Film/OsmosisJones'' ended with Frank strongly implied to have changed his habits after nearly dying, but the pilot shows he's resumed his prior unhealthy lifestyle (before Ozzy, Drix, and Scarlet Fever are transferred to Hector by a mosquito). That said this is a more vague example as there are various hints that this show takes place in an alternate continuity, making it ambiguous if there was a happy ending to override.

* AesopAmnesia: The spin-off's first episode shows that whatever Frank learned about health didn't stick, and his life seems to have spun out of control. For the brief time we see him, he's eating chicken in a trailer park. A more friendly interpretation would be that the cartoon is set in an AlternateContinuity, where the film's plot didn't happen; note that Shane isn't present, and that Ozzy, despite his accomplishments in the film, mentions being on Snot Patrol in the pilot episode.
