** Ben's Chewbacca refuses to accept a medal until the war has been won. This is in reference to Chewbacca not getting a medal in the actual film because Carrie Fisher wasn't tall enough to hang it on him.

** ''Rogue One'' and Episode VII: A campaign run by Corey that the GM described as "different" and involved CombiningMecha and lots of guns. Ben was a reluctant leader, Pete played a woman from a destroyed planet with an evil prince stalking her, the GM was a techie girl initially disguised as SweetPollyOliver, and Sally played the villain. Corey turned out to be way too hands-off, with Pete demanding his own mecha (which ended up going to Ben), Sally's character "trigger[ing] the apocalypse" to see his dead wife, and the group replaying the final two sessions to make sense of the story. It was [[spoiler:''WesternAnimation/VoltronLegendaryDefender'']].

* {{Nepotism}}: A RunningGag in the sequek trilogy is that Kaydel Ko Connix firmly believes that Rey Solo gets special treatment because of who her parents are.

''Darths and Droids'' has completed the campaigns based on the six original movies as well as a flashback to a campaign based on ''Film/RogueOne'', then took a side trip into, of all things, the ''Star Wars'' [[Recap/TheMuppetShowS4E17 episode]] of ''Series/TheMuppetShow'', before starting on the sequel trilogy.

In the blurb for each comic, there are often links to Wiki/ThisVeryWiki (one of its creators is [[Tropers/{{Dmmaus}} a known troper]]), and there are even comics named after tropes, as well.

** Several times during Han's time as "Chi'ra" in his backstory, other characters would ask him why does he have a girl's name.[[note]]He stole the identity of his girlfriend Qi'ra and change the "Q" to "Ch" to make it sound less girlish (it didn't work)[[/note]] The first two times, it's in Jim's script; after that, the party are just messing with him.

** Finally in the sequel trilogy it's revealed Corey got to host his own campaign: ''WesternAnimation/VoltronLegendaryDefender''.

** Spoofed throughout Jim's explanation of Han's backstory where Jim keeps pointing out the foreshadowing he made, even though the GM tells him that it just makes the foreshadowing less interesting.

** "Greedo" stealing Han Solo's identity led Bobo Fett to believe that he was a shapeshifter like himself. Now Boba wants his nonexistent splanch so that he can get back his shapeshifting abilities.
