In the flashback in “The Problem with Billy”, we see him the day he was born, and he is ''incredibly'' tiny, so much so that he fits in the palm of Harold’s hand.

* Harold (aka Billy’s dad) hinted his wife was one can short of a six pack when she first met grim. So who’s to say [[spoiler: if you subscribe to the theory grim either revives them or being around him makes them immortal]] she was either planning or in the middle of a psychotic break to kill her family?
* Sure it’s the shows own insanity but she seems more then happy to threaten her family with a chainsaw. Making it worse is how Harold’s reaction made it seem like she’s done it before.
* In the episode “everything breaks” the oatmeal Gladys places down explodes just as Billy through it out the window.

* Eons ago, an UltimateEvil once dominated the underworld, having near-absolute control. It had total control over death, so it was immortal. It was also immune to almost any form of karma. One of Grim's ancestors managed to defeat this evil, by trapping it in a mortal body. However this being swore that, if it ever saw one of his/her ilk, it would have his revenge. Mandy was the ultimate result: This UltimateEvil had passed its essence down generation after generation, until it reached her. Mandy was naturally moody and somewhat sociopathic to begin with, so the moment she won the bet, the UltimateEvil began to awake. Luckily, Mandy only contains the soul of this being and not the memories, so she can't fully access her dark powers. Her parents weren't terrified of her until her dark powers awoke, and though Grim reaped her ancestors, he never was close enough to them to trigger this.

* Alternatively, Harold ''is'' a (different) Sasquatch who fell in love with and married a human woman (maybe two males were romantic rivals for Gladys' affection, and when Harold won, the other 'squatch didn't take it well). After all, he ''has'' been shown to have excessive body hair, which he shaves to pass as a human, and a weird deformed foot. Also, c'mon-- "[[Punny Name Hair-old]]".

They share too much of a resemblance to be a coincidence and not just because of the oversized schnozes they share.

Phillip could simply be her stepfather, who was threatened or even brainwashed by Dr. Flug into being her father to prevent the truth from being revealed.

Both of them are rather whiny [[SpoiledBrat Spoiled Brats]], with unusually enhanced intelligence, and a particularly creepy personality, that led both of them to being feared by the other members of their family (except their dog), as well to their desire to rule the entire world.
