Just a bit of grammar on the new boy, also added one extra bit of evidence to support it.

Obviously, it would because [[MistreatmentInducedBetrayal Kaos treats him pretty badly]] [[spoiler:If he saved the Skylanders and their allies in Superchargers, what's stopping him from fully betraying Kaos and joining the Skylanders for good?!]] He isn't really a villain, and the only time he sort of was was when he was evilized, so he's not fully responsible for his actions during the level you fight him in. And in the final levels of Trap Team and Imaginators he just challenges you to a completely optional game of Skystones Smash or Creation Class.

Perhaps he would realize he's not happy working with Kaos and eventually betray him, bonus points if he gives him a "{{TheReasonYouSuckSpeech}}"

Clash, and he actually enjoys playing with the Skylander.

[[spoiler:Speaking of Trap Team, his quest involves fishing the remote to the Ultimate Weapon with Bad Juju's help!]] If that doesn't scream "Not evil" or at least [[MinionWithAnFinEvil not as bad as Kaos' other minions]], what would?

Perhaps he would realize he's not happy working with Kaos and eventually betray him, bonus him, bonus points if he gives him a "{{TheReasonYouSuckSpeech}}"[[TheReasonYouSuckSpeech rant of how much of a horrible boss he is]].

[[WMG: Kaos was originally of the Magic element in Trap Team.]]
Kaos's abilities fit the Magic element. A last minute element switch would also explain why in the final game Magic is the only element with less than four villains and no doom raider. As for why this switch was made, the boring but logical answer is that the developers knew it would mean more money. The Magic trap was cheap and easily found. The Kaos trap was more expensive.
* I always thought that Pain Yatta was going to be the magic Doom Raider considering that, for such a minor villain, he was ''all over'' promotional materials.

[[WMG: Glumshanks would [[spoiler:eventually betray Kaos]].]]

Kaos resents his other siblings so he has fake portraits with them removed in his castle. This also can explain his mother's different appearance - being as egotistical as he is he probably had her pictured to look more like him

Great numbers of them are seen in the Time of the Giants level of ''Giants'', which takes place 10,000 years before the main games. The first games mention Elder Elementals, powerful ancient Skylanders. The Giants so far revealed all have elemental appearences and are more powerful than the normal characters, so it would make sense.

He says he has memories of the darkness threatening the Skylands before. And the last time that happened was when the first skylanders, the giants, first came together. Maybe Tree Rex unconciously sent a small part of his soul to that tree-flower thing in the ruins to subtly help the new skylanders with Kaos.

The reason we don't get a trapable Magic Doom Raider in Trap Team is because she's still healing from the beat-down we gave her back in Swap Force.

[[WMG:The Skylanders' names (save for Spyro and Cynder) are nicknames.]]
* It makes sense, given the punny nature of the names, and how some Skylanders (such as Ignitor and Drobot) haven't been that way all their lives. It could also refer to occupation, such as Gill Grunt being a grunt of the gillmen. Given that their battle cries have an in-canon explanation as being Skylander tradition, it wouldn't be surprising if their names were chosen upon entry to the Skylanders too.
